I am from Turkey. Whatever the younger Eurovision fans say about this song, I always loved it. It always puts a smile on you; after all, not all winners should give a message or be extremely meaningful. Besides, this was Norway's first victory, a country that finished last many times before, so it makes it more special. Also, the girls look gorgeous aswell!
I think it was Hanne who said to the others just before going on stage' We come from Norway, we can never win this, but we are sure gonna look like as if we won it '
@@lasse98l however I really think no one has ever shown this kind of joy winning the Esc prior or after this.. Magic moment at least for us Norwegians.
@@JMiguelmartins I really liked the song Gåte had ass well ⭐I am going to review all of the Eurovision songs for 2025 on my channel, maybe there will come good new songs 😊
This song is literally about catchy old songs ( it starts with _From a radio old songs are playing_ ), and now it's one of those songs, so it's a song that became what the song is about.
Norway received the highest score of 8 countries (96 points), but the other 10 countries gave it a total of 27. The country did not receive "eight" or "ten points".
A song that won with the fewest number of votes under the 12-point system, due to the juries scattering the marks around. Indeed, the United Kingdom, in fourth, actually got votes from the highest number of countries but finished 23 points behind Norway - with only Cyrus failing to give it any points.
Ahem... Hanne Krogh is 68 years old (born in January 1956) while Elisabeth Andreassen is 66 (born in March 1958). And, once again, ahem... all these informations are very easy to find if you only launche a quick and basic Google request with their duo name Bobbysocks. Ahem... 🙄😉
@ wrong hairstyle, make-up and clothes. There are some videos with the age of all the Eurovision winners at the time they won and some of them are really shocking.

The best Norway Sweden Duo Ever
"And now I'd love to call in the singers because half of them (i.e. Hanne Krogh) are Swedish."
Oh yes i love this song
deserved❤
The composer Rolf Løvland (You raise me up), had the idea to play the song a tick faster, live, to make it more catchy!
It worked! 🇸🇯😊
The ONLY time Norway won, without the use of a violin.

With a total of 123 points, "La det swinge" remains the lowest scoring winner under the voting system used between 1975 and 2015.
