thats why taro is not driving his roadrunner and markie is not driving his stingray and lani is not driving her nomad and i think another scorchers driver was driving a 99 charger concept in the film also

I love how they couldn’t get the rights to the real cars, so they had to make up something real quick lol
Make up what? All those replacements were pre existing hot wheels. And they were aware of this going into the game, they made the deliberate choice to not use the rlc’s as it would’ve delayed them.
Also note they intentionally made every acceleracer an original car to avoid this and to allow them to actually all be unique cars.
And the reason why wild thing was replaced was because it was three wheeled, and terrible on the track, as were a few others, which is also why the acceleracers were all meant to be track ready, and why they didn’t sell the motorcycles, that and rd-07 was complicated

@@oddballskull1941 couldn’t get the rights to the actual real life branded cars. The replacements already existed yes, but not in hwy 35 movie. So they couldn’t afford to buy Chevy, a real life company.

What a fantastic classic this is, to this day, world race is the best hot wheels racing game ever. The gameplay and vehicle handling is absolutely top-notch, a great example of a very solid arcade racing game with fun racing and great physics, nothing else really comes close. I would kill for another racing game with gameplay and handling physics like this. Caged element, the creator of GRIP, would be a good team to develop a hot wheels racing game in the same vein as this, as the racing in GRIP was solid.
Highly recommended for PC!!!
I never had the PC version of this game when I was a kid, although I have the PlayStation 2 version, so I will have to purchase it online one day.
@@CEO100able I loved the console versions until I tried the PC one which is a little better, the console ones are still very enjoyable though.

@@Mizra-dq3lj there's a video called "World Race Installation Tutorial - How to get it Working" by a channel called ΩPUS on youtube. you can get it there if you want, i had to do it that way even though i own a disk because the installer won't work on new computers
World Race, Turbo Racing, and Beat That are the best Hot Wheels games, period.

Ah yes. Loved this games music. It was always so cool to listen to Hot. Smash Mouth ruled the early 2000s. Never beat it but found it fun.

the boost stat determined how long the car remained at max speed. but it was virtually useless because you would always save nitrox to use on ramps and not use it freely.
