For those asking about the missing download links, all you have to do is use PS2 Classics GUI to decrypt the .VME file to a .VMC file (Open the program, click on the decrypt tab, click on decrypt vme, then choose your file and it will ask you where you want to save the output file), and then rename .VMC to .ps2 and then you can open it in PCSX2. And then vice versa if you want to transfer it back, rename it from .ps2 to .VMC and encrypt it (encrypt tab, encrypt vmc) back to a .VME file using PS2 Classics GUI.

Thanks for the help LadyNinja! :) Funny enough I am replaying SMT III: Nocturne (more precisely Lucifer's Call as it's called in Europe) the PSN game crashes after defeating the semi-final boss in True Demon Ending. I had to finish it off in PCSX2 then send the file back, worked like a charm.
So I followed the conversion process exactly as the video described to convert a PCSX2 memory card file to a vme file to use on a PS3 but for some reason I haven't been able to get it to convert using the file converter. I run process 1 from the command prompt after hashing it and it just refuses to create a VME file.
I have been trying to do the same with persona 3 fes but the file get corrupted, the codes that I use are for max money max academics, charm and courage and all items, don't know what is wrong

I'd have to make an ISO of my AT disc and convert it to a PS2 classic (after putting custom firmware on the PS3 that is of course), but once I do that is there a way to take my saves from the PS2 to work under the PS2 Classics format?

Sean Heasley Unfortunately these files are always changing due to windows updates, and PS3 updates etc. That's the files they had for a while. I can try to find another but the same thing will happen again most likely.
Oh I actually figured it out, I managed to find another ps2 converter somewhere and I googled the vmc exe and found it eventually. Thanks for the video it helped a ton ^_^

There is a a way but its a very long process and since I dont have the items needed to do it I cannot tell you how to do it or make a tutorial, but there are tutorials on how to online...I remember seeing one.
+Maco It's a long process. I've done this myself. I had a ps2 until it died on march of this year.My ps2 was jailbroken so I managed to use a program on it called uLauncher.elf, it works like a game on ps2, loading up you are able to access the content of your memory cards, and if you plug a usb on fat32 format your ps2 will recognise and you will be able to send your data from your memory cards to your usb. From there the process changes a lot. I was able to make my saves on ps3 be on PS2 classics format and also ps3 format, but for the ps3 format I was only able to do that because my ps3 is also jailbroken. Other than that, only using a flipping ps3 memory card adapter.
What I mean is that when I copy the save data from the PS3 it is a PSV file, you mentioned copying the memory card but there's no option for that on the PS3. And yes, I tried converting the PSV file, it didn't work correctly.
This is a very old vid, I stopped looking for the links a long time ago cause they kept removing/changing sites, you will have to do a google search yourself.

my saves dont come in folders, but in a PSV (ps2 classic) file from ps3 with all packed up inside it. now what?

Nah that's not possible only ps2 Classic games
