A Budget Friendly 4 Season Tent!
What I have today is one of 3 new 4 season tents from OneTigris which they are referring to as the Black Tigris Series. The tagline for this series says Experience the Mystery, Embrace the Comfort.
I have no clue what Experience the Mystery means but anyways, as soon as I saw that these tents hit the market, I was VERY interested!
Not only do these tents look awesome in terms of design and functionality but their prices are very fair if they perform as well as I hope they do.

For this episode, I am previewing the Cometa which is a tunnel-like baker style tent but I have ordered the other two and will have videos on them as soon as they are received.

I bought this tent off your review! I'm over in the uk and bought it for my North Wales motocamping trip ! I must admit, out off all the tent I've purchased, I must say this was the lightest and easier tent to put up, I mostly used the side entrance, loads of room, bought the optional poles for the canopy, I kept the guidelines taught throughout my trip and didn't see any sagging, very good buy and looking forward to using again ! It did rain through my trip, obviously because it was Wales. ! Kept me dry, no leaks !!!!!

As far as i know or seen the tent design comes from a Norwegian outdoors company called Helsport, their tent is called the fonnfjell superlight and weighs only 2 kg

the most exciting product video you have released for a long time Luke! This could be a major game-changer for the industry and consumer. I am seeing this and even more excitingly the Stella too, 4 season tents at fantastic prices, made with what looks like premium materials and great workmanship! The Stella weighs less than the Naturehike CloudUp 2!

Thanks for this, had no idea Onetigris had released new tents. This model (Cometa) looks a lot like one of my dream tents, the Helsport Fonnfjell Superlight 2, but twice as heavy at 1/3 of the price. Looking forward to more videos about this tent! If the quality is good this will be my next glamping tent.

I sorta tent in my truck canopy, but this tent is without a back up for me. In Canada the weather can be brutal...thank you so much for your work...be safe.

I love the bucket floors we do a lot of. Man carrying out backpacking but when it rains it storms and they are the best the bucket tents

I am excited to see this tent preform. I hope it is what it says it is. I live in the upper peninsula of Michigan and winter is brutal. I would love to be able to extend my camping into the winter, but with the prices of a true four season tent is out of my budget. Fingers are crossed this kicks butt. For me, a convertible four season tent is a win. Being able to open up for venting or sealing up completely for harsher conditions isn't always done well and this looks like they took that into consideration. Thanks for the review, I'll likely be checking this out for myself.
Yes. My old convertible North Face sets up in three configurations, and can be set up from the outside in or inside out. Love it.
One of the first things I do when I buy a tent is exchange the pulls on my stakes with para cord an ss tie them myself. Never have a issue with them coming undone

That looks like it would make a good tent for scouts. Weight isn’t an issue as we trailer our gear for most campouts. Looks easy to set up. Would be good for October to April camping in the Midwest. Looking forward to the next review.
I have a simler desind tent. The Vango Delta 200 Alloy Tent is a front-and-side-entry tunnel tent which comes with two canopy poles to create a sheltered porch area

Looks like a pretty nice tent. Looking forward to your rain test. I am a little leery about the top without a rain fly but I am sure you will put it through the paces.

Most 4 season tents do not have rain fly's. Single wall is how most of them are. It makes them stronger with less fail points to be one piece and blocks wind more.

I like the Russian Bear Tent...It's four seasons and has an opening on the top for a Wood Stove. It is also a camouflage color.
What was old is new again.
I had an MSR tent, about 25 yrs ago, that was very much like that. It was a favorite tent. I gave it to a friend after switching to a hammock and tarp.
I really like the design of this tent, big and open. Very nice and even I can afford it!! I can't wait for further testing, especially in the rain and wind.

I like the branding-invites thoughts of Hilleberg's Black Label tents, without being as good, I'm sure, nor nearly as high of an investment.
Many thanks for doing these reviews Luke, I like the colour and the price to start with, this is a tent I will definitely be buying if it comes up trumps on your full testing.
That's a good-looking tent. Let's hope they've got the quality sorted. It will be interesting to see how it performed in the rain, but for now, I will stick with Gossamer 2 tent and Crua Modus with culla liner for cold weather.
Interesting tent. Luke, I would like to see you review more traditional, mid tier brand tents from the likes of MSR, Northface, BigAgnes, REI, Snowpeak, Nemo, Coleman etc. I like to see you calling out the garbage companies and exploring the low cost options. But also want to see review of stuff someone with a little more disposable income would like to invest in and use for the next 5-10 years. Just a thought. Others: like if you'd like to see this too.

Onetigris really does do a lot of quality work and is becoming a giant name in the outdoor community
Not really. They make cheaply made products for low budgets. Nothing about their products is exceptional.
They usually manage to have a good balance of price and quality, but that's about it.
You’re contradicting yourself don’t call them cheap then go on to say they maintain a good balance in quality and cost. Are they good or are they not?
Not a bad price and I am sure a lot of people looking at winter camping would enjoy this tent. I still have plenty of time to wait before buying, looking forward to the review and test video.

I like the fact its black and the price is in the ball park of what I would spend.
Pretty similar to a Swag, popular in Austrailia. Difference is they use canvas and have a sleeping pad built in.
This is a Backwoods Bungalow baker style tent on steroids. Yes a bit heavier because it's a double wall tent where the inner resides, plus the poles add weight. But, it makes set-up easier in a wider variety of places.

Love this design for warm weather. Maybe experience the mystery refers to the open sided design which allows the user to more easily see and feel like they're not in an enclosed structure more open to environment and vice versa? I see you (nature), you see me!!

Black makes sense for the 4th season (winter) as it will hopefully melt/shed snow quicker. With those 2 doors the venting should be good in warmer months too. The Baker awning is great... but my first thought was how much snow will be trapped near the top during a snow fall. I'm assuming you can just drop your polls or use shorter sticks so snow sheds off without stressing the tent where the awning meets the top part of tent. I bought their smaller Tetra tipi after viewing your video. It works very well for what I want. Looks like after some misfires OneTigris is becoming a force in the tent market.
I really hope it tests well, I'm liking the double doors.
Black is cool! I have been looking at a LOT of mountain top videos with the "F" and "H" brand tents. The aggressive bath tubs are a good thing! One guy had a river running through his tent because the storm changed from snow into rain. Because it was night and the high winds, all he and his dog could do was sit on the mat to stay dry. Also I am wanting to see the ventilation on this tent. At 65mph+ winds snow finds ways of getting in.

That would be great for a day hike if you are going out and there is a possibility of rain or storm threat and if it does leak would be a good shelter and the awning you can set low and tilted to one side for air flow and comfort to heat up water for coffee or fix something to eat.
Looking forward to learning how it functions in wind, rain, wet snow. Price and features looks really appealing. :D
I like the tent design, that open feel could be great on warmer nights. As long as they can keep a tight control on Q.C. with over seas manufacturing
I'm loving the vestibule space that is amazing A bit healthy for me alone to pack but all in all a gorgeous sleep space and I do love the black because it means I can sleep in a little bit more😅

That is one very nice looking tent. Next time I need to buy one that will be a strong contender based on size and features. Being over 6 feet tall its a pain the the butt finding a tent that is large enough that I don't touch the sides while lying down.. and having that rain flap awning would be perfect for the kind of weather were I live.
OneTigris have another tent that opens on both sides and both ends. It’s the Outback Retreat. However it’s not to the same spec as this tent as it’s hydrostatic head is half the value of this tent. I look forward to your reviews as these new tents could be just what i need. Love your channel, keep up the good work.
this tent looks really good in its design, it reminds me a lot of a carp-fishing bivvy my mates use in the UK
Finally a Tent that looks spacious enough for a Cot. 2 pole tube design would bring snow load concerns to me, could be wrong, but when your in Colorado where snow can hit all the way till late May even into June you think about these things. Other wise love the looks and over all design.

Great looking tent and the price is unreal! Been looking at the Stella too. I won't make a final decision until you do your stringent 'in the field' testing but I think these could be game changing! I LOVE the black colour, great for the mountains and the white inner give it a classy finish. I'm sold!

How black color is great for anything when it comes to tent?
@@1stRanger Many places I wild camp, it's illegal and so having this black tent, especially in some parts of the Pyrenees I wild camp, will hide very well in that Environment, in fact, most places! I've been shouting for someone to make black tents for years and now someone finally has! Once Luke gives this the full test and it passes, I'll be buying this and the Stella tent. Can't wait!

That's a fantastic looking tent. I'm surprised they didn't put the vent at the ground as they've put on their other tents. I'll be interested to see how it is with condensation when the doors are closed.
I am totally liking what I see here. Agreed though that they need to Label their tents though... as I already have a Tigris summer tent.
