- As we all recover from holiday shopping, you may notice a charge on your credit card that you don't recognize or you know you didn't make. This morning, we want to help you better understand how to legally dispute them.
The merchant that wrongfully charged my card doesn't seem to have contact details online except a mailing address (~300 miles away from me). The bank has refused to remove the charges claiming that there is insufficient evidence that it was fraud. I guess I went about it the wrong way over the phone, and should instead put a letter for the bank through mail?
Or you should have talked to the dispute center for the bank and send them an evidence or documents to prove you’re not a scammer , also I highly recommend to never use a credit card cuz they make money off you so debit cards are more reliable and better and don’t charge over 1000 dollar a year
Take them to court
WHAT IF.....the purchase is charged twice because of a communications glitch/error? Here in Australia my card has had a plethora of double charges. Seems it's my local Internet and every time my CARD will not show a time of day the purchase happened. All good purchases do show the time. And when I have 1 of 2 debits reversed the Vendor gets a $25 penalty fee. And they ban me! The thought of a cashless society fills me with foreboding...My hands shake when on the phone to Bank.
Never got the goods as agreed on time
My M/CARD shows (online) the time of day the transaction happened. But when there is a system glitch and the purchase is debited TWICE (aka 2 times) then there is no time of day displayed. They refund them but only if you put in a dispute. I am starting to smell a systemic THING. It could even be imagined to be a targeted THING related to social media profiling.
I put a dispute in and they denied it and then now it’s in collections. I asked what the extra charges are for and they said it’s interest for not making a payment on time. That’s 1000% interest
Take those bastards to court
Me too but getting ready to try this method.
What if xfinity charged me $1,085 for a $120 phone bill??

How about a merchant being scammed? How we can get protected from criminals who steal from us ?
I do 100% business online- don’t take credit card info! I have a dispute from a client who booked the service online, did the CVV and the captcha, communicated with me via email, and texted my driver and was recorded in the vehicle using the service!
Fullsteam credit card processing still gave the money back to the client ?!
