In case anyone is wondering who Mr. NonZionism is talking about when he talks about “rightoids” with personality disorders, this guy was all over SubStack last week insinuating I was an anti-Semite because I questioned Churchill’s perception as a hero of World War 2 (even though my essay wasn’t about Churchill).
When I then invited Mr. nonZionism on my channel to discuss the issue, provided that he stick to criticisms of me and the ideas I wrote about (as opposed to associations), he refused preferring to stick to vague insinuations.
I am sorry. I can’t do this. I am here to talk about ideas. Invectives against me for being part of a group of supposedly crazy people (who are never named) and attempts to associate me with 4Chans-trolls is not an idea. It isn’t even an accusation.
I am not even sure what I am suppose to do with this. I can’t argue against anything because no specific accusation is ever made. I guess I am just supposed to sit back and watch people try to foment a whisper campaign against me and my colleagues.
I don’t find this an attractive proposition.

Stop engaging, Dave! These people are bad faith. Alex is 6-12 months away from writing a, “I saw the dissident right up close and was horrified of what I saw.” type article.

Btw Dave, as I tried to tell you before, showing up like a dog who can be summoned every time some nobody mentions your name is not becoming of someone who hopes to lead a future elite to world dominance. Can you picture the leader of Singapore showing up in the comments section of a video of someone talking poorly about him? Would he write a multiple paragraph long response to the ridiculous criticisms of him featured in the video the moment the video goes up because he has nothing better to do? Of course not.
Once again, this is dog energy. We need lion energy. A lion wouldn't do this. So why are you?

@@TheDistributist LION ENERGY, Dave. A lion wouldn’t quibble over terms which are largely aesthetic. A lion would address the point being made. Or not answer at all. You say calling you a dog isn’t helping the conversation. But you did show up, and you did answer, exactly as I described.
Now you are sounding exactly like Alex was a few months back. Is this about making people feel welcome on Twitter or in comments sections, or is it about discovering truth, building a political movement, and ultimately winning? Up to you.

36:19 onwards: "You have your red pill moment... it's an intense emotional feeling to be rid of the obscene liberal lies... a feeling of unveiling the curtain... it's habit-forming & you want more & more & more... & at some point you have to stop...if you can't de-addict yourself from this feeling of unveiling the curtain, you are going to go into crazy territory"
This is very convincing. Plus there's a cult-like element, with the DR gurus espousing their wisdom to eager acolytes. And the gurus certainly don't like naysayers or being challenged. It's a big circle jerk.
I really can't stand progressivism, and I've learnt a lot from the DR. But there's a mountain of bullshit going on, even with some of the most respected DR voices. They may be smart people, but they're massively over-estimating how many things they are smart at, and how lost they are in their own system. The podcast world doesn't help, because although there are lots of 'discussions', the gurus make sure they are never *seriously* challenged by a serious critic on anything.

@@j.greenriver6293 Not being allowed to leave is only one characteristic of a cult. There are plenty of others - such as intolerance of dissent, & being blocked & excluded for voicing perfectly reasonable disagreements or criticisms, which I see pretty often. Anyhow, most of the DR happens online & very few people meet IRL, so the dynamics of "leaving" are different.

Does this ring true? No. Because it's nonsense. For something to be a cult it has to have a range of properties, one of those being "can't leave without issues" and "strong authoritarian leader". Something doesn't become a cult without a combination of those properties.

I agree with his take on Israeli society, as an Israeli myself. I do however think that forced eugenics and raising somehow the the average IQ will come down to the same general problem he had diagnosed, which is: unless one foments a general reset of society, one will inevitably end up with a democratic form for the general populace which hides in plain view a neo-Feudal reality of elite rule, in which life becomes unbearable for the middle strata but is supported by the dumbed down masses. One can reach a super-bureaucratic state this way, but most if not all forms of freedom, even minor ones, will ultimately disappear. The tradeoff seems not to appeal to the middle strata, which is the reason they will not support it, because the middle strata only support policies which either enlarges its power or freedom, and forced eugenics will not achieve it.
