Just finished watching it all. Damn, I wasn't expecting to learn so much. I picked up 5 or 6 useful things from this. Thanks Tips, so awesome you were able to do this, as well as thanks LMGD. Btw, any chance we can get that link to the consumables you mentioned?
I've leveled as a Hemo rogue a few times, play well and you have extremely little downtime. Also for most mobs you can kill them quite fast. The biggest gearpiece to upgrade frequently is your weapons (du'h?). You have your cooldowns ready in any situation where you may need them, pretty good control for multi-target encounters when you need to deal with that. Vs single target you're pretty badass at chaining kills. I would put rogue leveling above warriors. You also have the massive advantage of stealth for skipping both inconvenient encounters and to dodge gankers. If you keep your weapon up to date encounters should generally be fast and you take very little damage. If you get a good dagger for your level you might even spend some time using Ambush as your opener on squishy enemies.
17:52 "What is frontstabbing?" "It's like... backstabbing a mob but... from the front." "So it's like you're in front... but you can backstab them?" "Yeah." "I gotchu I gotchu absolutely"
except none of that was said. It's running through the mob to bug it, the game counts the mob as always facing you, even if they arent. So if you run through it you will be both behind it and in front of it.
Can you post the consumeable list that Lmgd made? Cant find it in the description but could be nice to have :). Great vid tho, watched over an hour of it.
I feel him there, I started in range DPS, later went Melee DPS and Tank, now I mainly heal, but still enjoy some damage or tanking. All roles and classes are great and should be tried out ;)
Two hours of bad inexperienced questions being answered super vaguely. This was a boring interview, not a Rogue class guide by any means. There is some good information in here but you can sit here for two hours and learn almost nothing. Questions are clearly not planned out. Rogues only get two swords while leveling? Vanquisher is Horde and Alliance btw. What about Sword of Omen? Do not waste your time watching this. "5 point eviserate on every mob while leveling" Is this a serious video?
Can you point me to a more informative video/guide by your standards? I'm inexperienced and learning about the nuances of Rogue from many different sources. It's nice to see disagreements, discussions, and alternatives. Excited for Classic to come out. Thanks in advance
This is really good information. Much mkre than other guides around. Even if you say "gotcha" around 50 times, somehow you need to make clear that you understood his depth nerd knowledge. I really enjoyed this. There was only one good laugh I had. "get these dal'rend, their not that hard to get".
For those planning to go over 24 hours on day one keep a couple things in mind: there have been recorded cases of people having strokes and heart attacks from staying up 48 hours straight. If you're in your teens to mid 20s with a strong heart not surrounded by fat you can probably get away with 48 hours. But please be careful and dont put yourself in danger over a video game. On top of that legislators are focusing on video games way more than back in '04, made evident by loot box laws. Please dont be the guy who dies in 2019 from not eating, sleeping, or using the bathroom, because you may inspire some idiot politician to push a bullshit law. Have fun, but know your limits and be safe.
I honestly think this should pop up after 24 hours of play. I used to do this in my early 20's, and it's just bad for you all around. Someone with a more normal schedule will beat you in the end, just from being well rested...and they will live longer. ;)
You should do pvp derp dives. Get mn back on and talk strats vs other classes what he looks for what his anticipations are, etc. And do for all classes as well.
Why is it assumed that on a server with arguably 300 60s in the first month, that Devilsaur farming is even remotely possible? If you are employed there's no way you're going to have time to win the range of spawns. If you are unemployed then you will still need to do this as a respectable group, sharing the winnings while fighting off enemy hunters with trap camping, not to mention your own faction... Am I missing something?
he was the 3rd to level 60 on his server, and he was talking about farming it for 3-4 days immediately, so obviously not a lot of competition if you are aheady of the curve
i main warlock but will play rogue to gank on other account. sell me on rogue bro. lets do this. also mage is my 3rd favorite> Mage-warlock-rogue are the best.
I dont get it. Why NOT pick skinning? He wants to rush 60 so he can farm devilsaur, thing is, he doesnt have skinning, so he has to go back n kill mobs he already killed and by the time he goes to 1-300 skinning people would be at 60 with him and probably have skinning with em.
considering he mentioned he would definitely be leveling with a 5 man and also mentions there only needs to be one skinner in a group that he will probably have the skinner at the least with him. As far as I can tell anyways
we had a rogue with thunderfury and he stopped using it because he pulled aggro all the time and mobs killed him cause the aoe from the weapon. Also it was a main hand from what i remember.

I think Blizz may have tuned dungeons to be the most viable way to level as its what their casual carebares are used to. Thus they will actually get to 60 experience end game and increase their chances of not being just a tourist. The ones that want to explore in the open world are going to regardless. I just feel a little bit concerned if my crazy ravings might actually be true, it would be quite damning if Blizzard did this as it completely undermines the whole spirit of keeping classic classic. Imagine if 45% of the population levels in dungeons, there will be way less people in the open world. ooooohhhhhhhhh maybe a sneaky tactic to help reduce server stress... as dungeons are technically instances in their own right so can be run on a small virtual machine, much less taxing on the actual hardware!
Eviscerate in PvE? lel. No wonder people take 55 years to level a rogue in Classic - they're probably listening to shit advice similar to this video. Spec for swords and use Sinister Strike and Slice and Dice. Evis is for PvP.
@save animals Has nothing to do with "higher rank". Go play rogue spending combo points on S&D and saving energy for SS and get back to me. Or you could stay how you are now and continue to suck while making smarmy useless comments on RUclips videos.

It comes across as if you don't do it the way so and so guest says it should be, then you're not doing it right. These videos, while informative, reduce the game to a cookie cutter experience. This guy is so pretentious
wasted going back to warriors its about rogues
thanks for this been meaning to play a nelf rogue in classic :)
did you not listen to what he said about race? lol
Absolute garbage race for rogue lol
Nelf Rogues were the bane of the Horde in Vanilla.
Dont use fucking poisons in raids! I was kicked loads of times for doing just that!
Like ret pallas and furry druids are gonna steal my loot
Holy Paladin rolling on your shit cuz he wants to ret (pug) Resto Druid rolling on Kitty Gear (pug druid) This WILL happen.
wtff hes comming up with things like "yeah on private servers ..."
............................
Every "deep dive" kind of guide right now has roots deep in private servers since vanilla was like 12 years ago. So take everything they say with a grain of salt, like the 8K gold in 2 days thing.
lol i always thought this guy is a mage main
N this no changes stuff is getting a lil crazy, a lot of people want no changes for glitches that benefit them in the game.

Good choice of thumbnail :) random and fun to see my old illustration in the youtube feed.
So incredible. I did naxx as a rogue and I learned quite few new things here. This was great. The shadow spell dps was new to me. Lucifron breakdown was exceptional. Didn't know it could be that technical.ty!
lucifron 20 seconds? wtf is he talking about
Nocure92 it happens lol
AND DEN??? AN DENNN?? HUH?? AND DEN!!!!!
How good is nightelf rogue?
Harder to detect in stealth, nature resistance, + dodge chance
