Knee on Belly Defense into Single Leg AND Heelhook - No Gi BJJ

- Опубликовано: 7 фев 2025
- Knee on belly is a great staging position for attacks in BJJ - a good combination of pressure and mobility, with entry points to the back, mount and cross-side (plus submission opportunities). Dealing with it can be a big challenge. Here we look at two defenses to knee on belly for no gi: the first is more conservative and leads us to the single leg, where we can follow someone who stands or take their back if they stay on the ground. The second, more to our liking, leads directly into the inside sankaku heel hook attack.

Hands down the best grappling channel on YT !!!
Mostly agree. Travis stevens’ channel is on par I’d say.
Slick great heel hook entry roo 👍
Great stuff. I love the attacking right out of the defense.
Awesome
This one honestly looks easier and better than the lat post spin around versions the gordon and john teach, and has the wrestle up option and ability to bail if you fail too. I love it

Hello the bump with the knee works if the partner is a minimum align or parallel with your center line. But how do you do if the partner is more perpendicular to you ? I try to realign myself but my partner always follow my movements to stay perpendicular to me
Not sure I understand. How is someone KOB and parallel to you at the same time?
@@bzglick yes it's difficult to explain like this. In this video, your partner's head is on your right side and sometimes even align withe your head. So in that case your center lines are both kind of align like in a mount position. But sometimes with KOB the partner can have his head on your left side and his foot on the mat above your shoulders line. So in this case your center lines are more perpendicular like in a side control position. So in that configuration the partner can use his foot on the mat to resist to the bump
Thanks !
