I love how there's the lyrics and beat counting, but it's too fast and the cues are too early.

You are right, but I might add, that even if the music has a 'straight pattern' (like most back-up tracks) the singer has the chance to give more expression by choosing to start his singing slightly out of beat. This way he/she has the possibility to make minor changes in tempo although the music/backing-track doesn't. . . Give it a try!!

Seven years later lol That's not it at all. It's a technique (can't remember the name) to soften the sound, when the sound is a sharp/hard consonant. And, then, there's a chance that you know that and were just kidding around. 😊

I believe it's "the way of the lord", but the two sound so similar it's kinda hard to tell by just listening to someone sing it.
I really really enjoy this version although I sound a lot closer to Russell Crowe than I do to Quat or Lewis. Can you tell me if you would have this available for MP3 as I would love to do it Karaoke - - - I am enjoying your other selections as well ! Keep up the good work.

I can guarantee that you sound better than Russel Crowe
I think Russel Crow was okay, but he wasn't as good as most performances I've heard. His singing didn't have as much emotion as, for example, Jason Manford. But he still did it really well, and his acting was amazing. Javert is actually my favourite character in all of Les Mis, due to Russel Crow's amazing portrayal of him.

No, not according to several lyrics sites.
Also it would not be in the right context of this song (God / Lucifer; and "he knows his way in the dark" is the opposite of "mine is the way of the Lord" (light). Ofcourse this is how I see it. You may correct me if I'm wrong ;-) .

WAY TO FAST 2FAST4me
The thing about Russell Crowe to me is that, when he's playing Javert, I can only look at him as Javert. The name Javert just seems to stick on him. People are always saying that Phillip Quast IS Javert, but I can only see him as Phillip Quast. Same goes with Norm Lewis. Russell Crowe just really seemed to put the character's skin on him and you have Javert
waaaaaaay to fast. you upped the temple to the point where the song loses all power and impact.
