If you think about it, this is basically Disney and Final Fantasy's own little 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' that's going on here in this first game. The multiverse is being destroyed and a team of heroes joins forces to save whatever remaining worlds they can before the heartless invasion/anti-matter wave get's to them while trying to find a way to stop the main bad guys plot.
@@partialbullet2215 No actually, "Crisis" was a comic storyline done in the 80's by DC comics long before it was ever adapted for the Arrowverse as a crossover event, or before kingdom Hearts. That's what I like about the Numbered titles in the series compared to the other games though, they always deal with some reality threatening event. K1: Multiverse is in danger of being destroyed and replaced with a dark void of death and destruction. Kh2: Multiverse is in danger of being re-written to fit the villains desires to play god with the universe. Kh3: Plots one and two combined, with the added tournament/battle royal to the death between heroes and villains.
@@streamarchivegamesnstuff2254 although if they weren't apart of it it be dull with Disney only this game was meant to be dark but Disney can't go far then Square Enix can go
@1:51 - Sora’s “Riku” feels so wholeheartedly concerned and deeply emotional, I felt that. Such subtle and amazing line delivery from Haley Joel Osment.
I remember playing this part for the first time! I was at my an older relative’s place and the screen was so dark it made Destiny Islands look like it had been completely enveloped in darkness. The only things I could see were the bright pool of spring water and Sora. I died at least half a dozen times before we thought of turning up the television brightness. 😅
I feel that Ansem destroyed the Destiny Islands because he was probably bullied there in his childhood, so he went there so he can get revenge on the descendants of his bullies.
I remember being so lost as a kid I just hid in the little wooden shack
That’s probably what sora would do if he was a normal kid lol

Would it kill you to move your hand to get sora's riku? Would it?
Wait... Sora has a Mom?
So does Riku and Kairi
I feel that Ansem destroyed the Destiny Islands because he was probably bullied there in his childhood, so he went there so he can get revenge on the descendants of his bullies.
Nobody has to give him the keyblade the keyblade choose him that’s special
FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE WHO UNDERSTANDS-
It could've choose Tidus if he was nearby instead of Sora. 😂
The moment everything changed

Keyblade.... Keyblade....
When your nightmares came true
imagine you think your playing an epic rpg and then Donald and Goofy show up
Someone said they thought Riku turned into the keyblade here. Not surprising to see considering the colour scheme.
This is it...
Sora sounds like young Justin Bieber
