No joke. It took me ~6 hours to beat him on regular with stats high enough to hit LW’s damage ceiling (80 across the board for Sora). Yea, way back when I first played it on the ps2, I didn't really use drive forms so I was missing most of the mobility abilities (didn't even know they were a thing), as well as under leveled from skipping a lot of the trash fights in each world. I actually couldn't hit him to stop heartless angel, my only hope was elixers and beating him before they ran out. You can actually avoid Xigbar's ultimate attack 16:54 simply by running in circle on the platform, but keep in mind that your own companions can obstruct your way if they are knocked out.

...so, did we ever get that "Jack Sparrow is Sora's dad" theory video? Because honestly, that sounds like a fun video. Also, in my opinion, Scar's not hard, but my main problem with him is the fact that the controls for Lion Sora feel like your trying to control a car with wheels made of ice on a road made of slicked-up rubber, and you were only able to turn by slamming the steering wheel all the way to either side.
After replaying this game last week I was reminded why Birth by Sleep is my favorite kh game. It doesn't have dumb mini games and rules for certain fights
I know he was hard, I even stopped playing for a while because I was stuck but then I finally beat him then I beat the whole game. So keep trying, he's not the hardest member of those guys. That would be the guy in Beauty and the Beast in my opinion.
Also i beat him and lost a little aftwr with the final fantasy guys saw i had to re fight him thats why i deleted it lol but ended up replaying and beat the game
Me too. I went a period of 2 years where I would occasionally come back and try again. I even tried using an Action Replay to cheat him, and it didn't help. I did eventually beat him, though, fueled by calm rage.
The amount of creativity when it came to the bosses and how the environment is designed around them is insane, I can't remember one Kh3 boss fight but every kh2 is imbedded in my brain
When I was fighting Xigbar I activated wisdom form because it’s what I usually do, and I became anti form instead. Deadset he was finished within a minute, proudest gaming moment of my life.
Note on dodging Xigbar's Ultimate: Pick a corner and start running in a circle, similar to how the clip shows at 16:48 - the bullets will fire where you were just a moment before, allowing you to run around the entire ult
for the lingering will's ultimate attack, to get through the final bit of it, wait for him to teleport. the second you hear him teleport back, lock on and then instantly spam guard, you are permanently invincible whilst doing it because there are so many swings in quick succession that you never let guard stop, then the moment the final hit connects, begin your combo
I love the lingering will. even when I die fighting it, I can't help but smile because it's so hype. Never have I encountered an enemy that can turn a sword into a rocket launcher. Gives me the willies. The good willies. XD
shadow hunter02 he's the most easiest boss in kh history just equip mega elixirs and use Donald's flare command which gives you invincibility no matter what attack he uses I beat him on my first try
That's because he's an extremely well designed boss. His attacks hit hard, but will rarely insta-kill you unless you're grossly underlevelled. Most of his attacks are blockable and have just enough of a tell for you to react, and the ones that don't are designed to punish you for pushing the offense too hard. Every time you fight him, his moveset and patterns are randomized, meaning you always have to be on your toes. He's the opposite of the BBS/3D bosses. Instead of punishing you for wanting to use your full moveset and forcing each battle into a pattern of "dodge roll forever, hit them once or twice with a very specific command, then dodge roll again," Lingering Will demands a mastery of everything you've learned. Want to rush him down, you absolutely can. Wanna stick to magic? That works too. Summons, Limits, Drives? All perfectly viable options. He can be blocked, he can be comboed, and with every defeat, you know he can be beaten if you just push yourself a bit further.
I have a way of dodge Xigbar Ultimate attack and it easy. The key is NOT to dodge. People tell you to run circles around him but if you try this normal you will screw it up a lot. The problem is that people don't tell you the most important part. You need to hold BOTH sticks right or left. The camera will then pan to Sora side. This will make Sora Run in a perfect circle.
NOTE: On the Sephiroth Battle.. you can get rid of his Shadow Flare using Reflect spell. Don't know if you know.. but it's easier to defeat Sephiroth using that spell and ONLY that spell. No other spell works.
Almost any form of attack can get rid of those spheres. Just remember this, Reflect CAN damage Sephiroth. You can even block most of his moves... except for Heartless Angel. Just be sure to save that small MP for the heal in case you do need it.
22:30 to answer your question. When sephiroth summons the dark orbs. I always used deflect barrier. The magic barrier that you use to protect yourself can actually deflect the orbs away and if sephiroth decides to teleport into uppercut you in the air. You can deal extra damage to him. If you level your gut up to level 99 and get your power boost up to 150 AK. You can actually take him down real fast. On easy mode I once leveled up my guy to level 99 and got my power boost up to 150 and toke down 5 health bars within 1 combo assault.
Where has this channel been all my life. I love this guy! From the "fat bitch" boss to all the amazing metaphors, this is my new favorite game channel.
So basically the takeaway from this video is: If you're dying to any particular boss you're either... a) not blocking b) not using reflect c) not using reaction commands d) some combination of the above
The answer is yes. They are by far the most popular videos on his channel and as he said in the KH 1.5 boss ranking intro for some reason RUclips recommends these boss ranking videos to more people than playthrough videos so they are a faster way to grow his channel. That and he considers himself a comedian (which he is) and these are great ways to bring that to his channel.

"Didn't change his belt more than Squall Leonhart in a hot topic" That was way too good, I love my FFVIII boy like no tomorrow but damn is his edge sharper than his gunblade.
KH2 had such a cool variety of boss battles, especially heartless. Haven’t played KH3 yet but I hope they keep that trend going
GET ON THE HYDRAS BACK. JUMP ON HE HYDRAS BACK. GET UP ON THE HYRDRS BACK. JUMP ON THE HYDRAS BACK. (Repeat for a whole 10 minutes)
Finally, someone agrees with me about that BS light cycle section!!
Derek Zuniga Here's a tip. Mash Square. It kills any of the bike heartless in one quick attack, and breaks their guard if they do so.
I'm stuck on it rn actually
Old timey Pete is definitely the easiest boss in the game.
He is much easier in the Hades Cup since you are much stronger and have a lot more options to kick his ass.
Benny Boi can he even be classified as a boss? He’s so easy you don’t even take damage if you don’t move
What are you talking about? He's harder than Lingering Will, for crying out loud.
Can you reply to a reply to a reply to a reply to a reply?
That's... ironic... coming from someone with that pfp
16:55 For some reason I would always go Anti form against Xigbar. This fight was the most useful time for that form, I could outrun EVERYTHING!!! 🤣
I've beaten KH2.5 on PS3 (Critical mode) but Xaldin always wrecked my ass. I just started a playthrough on PS4 and your advice made the fight so easy and fun! You rock!
10:17 If you fail, I don't know what happen but it's probably unfortunate, so don't fail.
That's my well sought-after advice. -Albino 2k17
when you fail you turn into a dice again. i experinced that because i didnt know how to stop the spinners
The Chinese Parade float is a Chinese Parade float. I found that way funnier then I should have. 😂
"What is this darks souls? I didn't sign up to be ganked." OMG 🤣🤣🤣 Your humor made me watch this entire video. You have earned my like and sub.
...so, did we ever get that "Jack Sparrow is Sora's dad" theory video? Because honestly, that sounds like a fun video.
Also, in my opinion, Scar's not hard, but my main problem with him is the fact that the controls for Lion Sora feel like your trying to control a car with wheels made of ice on a road made of slicked-up rubber, and you were only able to turn by slamming the steering wheel all the way to either side.
Lmao
Running is your savior of the fight when scar starts running with darkness, I either do a constant drift loop the entire time or I charge run
24:29 "...annd absolutely nothing had changed because f*** me right?" Lmao 😂🤣😂
After replaying this game last week I was reminded why Birth by Sleep is my favorite kh game. It doesn't have dumb mini games and rules for certain fights
Yeah instead it has boring combat and non staggering spammy bosses
22:20 lmao this dude refuses to use reflect
Who needs reflect when you have magnet
Who need Reflect when you have Vicinity Break
Yeah I sometimes have trouble triggering that, it’s handy as hell but when you only do it half the time the inconsistency starts to get frustrating.
Reflect is for wimps.
My first play through of the game and several more till I got it on ps3, I never knew that spell even existed lol
I literally stopped playing this game because of the dance water dance guy.
I know he was hard, I even stopped playing for a while because I was stuck but then I finally beat him then I beat the whole game. So keep trying, he's not the hardest member of those guys. That would be the guy in Beauty and the Beast in my opinion.
I deleted my save file i was so mad regreted it the next day
Also i beat him and lost a little aftwr with the final fantasy guys saw i had to re fight him thats why i deleted it lol but ended up replaying and beat the game
I almost did too. He was annoying
Me too. I went a period of 2 years where I would occasionally come back and try again. I even tried using an Action Replay to cheat him, and it didn't help. I did eventually beat him, though, fueled by calm rage.
“Oh shit what if I accidentally drop my controller or fling it against a wall?”
Jesus Christ I couldn’t breathe. So fucking accurate
Glitched final Xemnas on level 1 was actually the worst thing ever. A limit into an elixir just to make sure you don’t die right off the bat xD
16:53 somehow I managed to dodge this by just running in circles but got hit sometimes by getting caught on Donald’s dead body
yep, that's how you're supposed to dodge it, i found it by accident when i was recovering MP and tried to escape that damn attack section.
Same, he always kill me on that part until I figured out I just needed to run in circles
I like to think that Sora learned formchanges from the Lingering Will because that is essentially what he is doing when you fight him.
The amount of creativity when it came to the bosses and how the environment is designed around them is insane, I can't remember one Kh3 boss fight but every kh2 is imbedded in my brain
You didnt have anything better to do in past. now you play kh3 for story.
You are waste of time
I love this guys sense of humour and just the way he talks, just amazing man. I’m in love
"Dont gimme that simile bullshit", agreed friend
“Do you like tanking unreactable damage?”
I feel like that just describes all the data organization bosses.
for the lingering will's ultimate attack, to get through the final bit of it, wait for him to teleport. the second you hear him teleport back, lock on and then instantly spam guard, you are permanently invincible whilst doing it because there are so many swings in quick succession that you never let guard stop, then the moment the final hit connects, begin your combo
I feel like this is the first KH related video I’ve ever seen that has good humor
I love the lingering will. even when I die fighting it, I can't help but smile because it's so hype. Never have I encountered an enemy that can turn a sword into a rocket launcher. Gives me the willies. The good willies. XD
shadow hunter02 that's how I feel with games like this and everytime i die in any game
shadow hunter02 he's the most easiest boss in kh history just equip mega elixirs and use Donald's flare command which gives you invincibility no matter what attack he uses I beat him on my first try
suuuurrre
He Judi in e
Ah Ko Ah ni kjzz 0099787 it r eww 1 sc s q dry ok lb. If a entrepreneurial 9
I refuse to cheat on x
The hydras back part really got me 😂
Its been years but I still want that video about Jack being soras dad.....
It’s probably never gonna happen :(
Hilarious commentary, great content, 10/10 amazing
23:26 "we shall go together" MY FAVORITE PART
Who’s still waiting for the Jack is Sora’s Dad video
14:01 looking like Daigo v Justin. Nobody has said this but you are kicking ass at these fights.
Awesome content keep it up 👍
I love your dry humor, your sarcasm, I'm so grateful my recommendeds did me a solid for once! Subbed!
NOTE: On the Sephiroth Battle.. you can get rid of his Shadow Flare using Reflect spell. Don't know if you know.. but it's easier to defeat Sephiroth using that spell and ONLY that spell. No other spell works.
Lightning Farron in fm the move where sora spirals on the ground clears the spheres out as well
Almost any form of attack can get rid of those spheres. Just remember this, Reflect CAN damage Sephiroth. You can even block most of his moves... except for Heartless Angel. Just be sure to save that small MP for the heal in case you do need it.
Lightning Farron i think he knew but his rule was not to use reflect like he said in the beginning of the video
Xaldin was kicking my ass first time I fought but I literally got the Mickey revive all 4 times I died. It felt unearned.
Xigbar is a square masher's wet dream, guard and reflect his shots right back at him, once I realized that, didn't even break a sweat lol
i love rewatching these every year. Top tier comedy 😂😂
"The devourer of children devours the children"
Thanks,i didn't know that!
You should do one of these for Birth by Sleep.
Alaskan Psyche oh mysterious figure wins easily
Where has this channel been all my life. I love this guy! From the "fat bitch" boss to all the amazing metaphors, this is my new favorite game channel.
So basically the takeaway from this video is: If you're dying to any particular boss you're either...
a) not blocking
b) not using reflect
c) not using reaction commands
d) some combination of the above
This is a memory trip I wasn’t expecting, or nightmare for the harder ones. Really enjoyed it, sincerely.
Wait.... You mean Jack Sparrow isn't actually confirmed to be Sora's dad? I thought it was pretty obvious
Sore Wa Chigau Zo You mean Captain Jack Sparrow right?
Nope, he's just a very very discount Johnny Depp
ShadowAntix same voice actor of tidus from ffx, ratchet, and fukin Johnny test
Hey Sunburned, are you gonna be doing more of these boss rankings for other games? I really enjoy them and they never fail to make me laugh!
Your commentary made me a subscriber 🤣🤣🤣
11:32 "You can go up on it's back, but this isnt a hydra so you shouldn't."
Thank you for making this!!! It’s the first video to make me genuinely laugh in a while
I'm gonna laugh so hard when it's birth by sleep
James Riemer I'm waitig to laugh at his CoM list
Yes but most of the bosses will be the same
there will be bosses so BS it will make Rom AND SNK blush.
James Riemer we all know hardest is gonna be Mysterious Figure. fuck that boss fight.
thunder surge....THUNDER SURGE EVERYTHING, i mean i didnt cuz im not a scumbag, but it works 99% of the time i suppose(tho i won t fault anyone for spamming thunder surge on the secret bosses becuz fucking hell the secret bosses are all annoying in this game)
Hey pal, there's someone you forgot to put at the end. Yes, I said there's someone harder than me, fight me. Or even better, fight him.
1920's Pete or whatever he's called. This big boi is the most difficult boi you will ever meet, alright! It took me about 38 tries to finish him, and I swear I only won from sheer luck!
Big Daddy StarBomber really I beat him first time
The fire building took me more than 38 times
"Lock Monster"
The one thing on this list given a joke name that I can remember the actual name of (It's "Thresholder" btw) because I kinda feel bad about beating up such absolute *bros* every time I play this game.
*They do a goddamn fist bump, ffs*
I just found this channel today, and am immediately a fan
Very amusing and informative video. I did not expect to laugh as much as I did
