It's quite an interesting topic. Some people say the best tuning is A432. The general standard is A440 but like they said, many European orchestras tune to A443. I must say I do find A441 unusual. If you are used to tuning to a certain A, your ear becomes trained so it is confusing if you tune to a different A. I personally stick to A440 as pianos are usually tuned to that so not a huge difference if you have to tune to a piano :)
Oh I played piano for 16 yrs and I feel the difference in sounds when in different weather usually. I think I can pick up the difference between A440 A441 especially on certain notes like G# or C# or just plain A. Anyone like me?
I had no idea either, I just thought that sometimes this or that notes (C# especially) kinda sounds somewhat different from one musician to another yet it's still in tune and perfectly serviceable to the performance, until my father explained that there's different A tunes.
Fyi, my piano is tuned to A440, and since he's using my piano for tuning, I guess my brother's violin would be A440 too.

I sometimes tune to 441 just because once the winds in my orchestra warm up they start to squirt past 440 and, well, it's just easier to go along with them.

1. whatever the level of danger either of us judges things to be, eating indoors (at a restaurant etc) is literally not a thing where I live rn, and this was my main point :) eating indoors is literally not allowed, even outdoors is very limited, pretty much everything is just takeout; and,
2. outdoors overall is safer than indoors. This is very basic knowledge that applies to, like, all air borne diseases. Ventilation is directly related to how easy it is for people to get infected, and most indoor dining isn't going to get ventilation that's anything comparable to outdoors.

Either they're just really smart and talented at social media and spend a lot of time on planning, or took some training or consultancy in the past. It's not easy to engage people and it's required to grow. Since we had a few videos I see the bassist guy in the recommendations and he has the weirdest clickbait thumbnails and titles, that's a bit of a cheaper way to do it but from his subscriber count it's valid nevertheless. I suspect social media probably works a lot more like classic media than we realize, because people don't change that much so the psychology is the same.
Some level of personal charm is required of course, which they developed quite well.
I'm with you @@bencze465 they are truly sensational in either ways and i supported them since. The jollies they give and the learnings we get changes our minds in a good way. The more they interact with us the more we get closer and aim a single goal. Thank you for this great chat ❤.

It's different between continents. Most north american orchestras tune to 440, whereas european tend to tune to 441. So bizarre. My youth orchestra conductor made us tune to 441 and it threw us all off for like a month 😂

@@jathryn not just continents but time. 440 is a modern standard that became popular in the 20s & 30s. Listen to some Bach or Mozart in 432 or 415. Beethoven's tuning fork was about 455hz.

watching the 2 on 1 practice made me appreciate the Tchaikovsky one they did for the virtual tour a lot. IT really is really hard to sound good when trying to coordinate with another per son left/right hand. They didn't need to do it, but they did it anyway to provide the full story and performance at their best. Really apreciate you guys.

Please record you really practicing for hours, without editing, "live style". Pianist Valentina Lisitsa does that sometimes, with 3, 4 hours of just a cam pointing to the piano and she practicing, and it's actualy very cool to watch!

I would love for you guys to try and play traditional fiddles just by listening to it! Like St-Anne's reel, Devil's reel, Hangman's reel.. As a french Canadian, we have a lot of french traditional fiddles (reel du train, 4 coins st-malo..)and i've never seen any classical violonist play our songs... Just an idea😁💕
