To be fair, Bob always says that he doesn't want people to copy what he does, he wants them to use his paintings as a guide for their own world. So, honestly Bob would be proud because this is the very essence of what he wanted to teach people to do. Cheers Jazza :)
I thought the 3rd was especially representative of this. It was a beautiful scenery that offered the same feelings/emotions but was in no way a direct copy.
"We'll grab the brush and mix these two colours to make a happy medium, and just start dabbing around this part of the painting" ... so much information without imparting any real information. 😩
*Bob:* And over here and maybe over here as well, we’ll sort of grab the paint and pull in this direction, making tons of little happy things 😊 *Jazza:* WhERe!? Which DiReCTiOn?!! WhAt THiNGS!?!!! JUST GIVE ME SOMETHING!!!!! 😵😵😵 Me: 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 😇😇😇
It is absolutely silly how many times Bob says 'here and there' and 'over here' without giving any specifics. I say you win this one, and get a trophy or two for even attempting this madness.
Kind of feel like Bob would be the most proud of this video. He always told us it was our world, we could put the trees and cabins and clouds where we wanted, and that’s just what you did, Jazza.
This video was a blast to make - and shoutout to my new editor Benny, who did a brilliant job - the chaos captured in this video is 👌👌👌 - And don't forget, you can get $5 OFF the Customize-it Kit! www.jazzastudios.com/discount/happy?redirect=%2Fproducts%2Fjazzas-customize-it-kit-limited-edition
I love how Bob’s videos are supposed to be relaxing and stress-free, and the whole time, Jazza was just absolutely losing his mind. I haven’t laughed so hard at a RUclips video in probably YEARS! Thanks for brightening up my Friday, Jazza! 🤣🤣🤣
The 1st painting: Bob - lush summer fields; Jazza - sad November land; The 2nd painting: different shots of the same cabin; The 3rd painting: very close! I think Jazza forgets how much Bob Ross loves to paint a ton of trees.
I really think the main difference was in the contrast. Bob Ross always tended to use high contrast which made his paintings very vibrant. His earliest works on TV were sometimes bordering on the uncanny due to that (too strong too much all over).
We had a surprise Bob Ross party for my 15 daughter during lockdown at our house. We all wore wigs, shirts and fake mustaches and painted along with an episode. It became a tradition to watch as a family when it was on tv on Thursday nights here in the UK, obv couldn't have a regular celebration or go out so we came up with this idea it was so much fun!
Bob: let's make a pinting that makes you feel good (makes green heels and beautyfull sky) Jazza: proceeds to make the most depressing brownish cloudy landscape ever
Honestly i think this is the perfect way to paint alongside bob, your goal shouldn't be to copy him perfectly, but to create your own painting, your own world
He’s back at it again!! Honestly great job! For the lack of description you actually made the scenes look like they’re cousins, not sisters, to the original paintings. But you did it!
I just love it when Jazza paints with Bob. This one's a special treat: I'm listening to it as I try to work and will watch tomorrow to see what the both of them were talking about.
I dont know how he does it. He makes masterpieces just by listening to a video im not having the best night tonight but jazza always knows how to brighten it up and make me smile keep up the good work man and thank you wishing you the best!
This reminds me a lot of talking with my mother! 😅 She is always saying things like; "Have you seen that new thing over there?", and I'm like 2:51!!! 🤣
Haven’t come up on my RUclips page for ages and then was doing some painting and randomly remembered your channel! So glad I did because these videos are some of my favourites ❤️
The bob ross videos have always been among my favourite of yours and this is a spectacular addition. The colour palette of the first one is pretty different, but i actually LOVE the vibe that it gives. It feels like a weird rainy day in like...fantasy australia or something. Like a suspicious oasis in the desert. I adore it. 10/10 work from the team for finding the bob ross vids with just the most hilariously unhelpful audio 😂
Jazza always insists on making this a thousand times harder than it needs to be. next he's going to have his crew do a Bob ross video in charades, and he has to translate it from that
HI ! Jazza, im Jeremy i've been a fan since 2015 i even bought your creating characters book when it came out and your videos always bring me joy, thankyou for posting !!
Good to see you doing these again. This is how I found your channel and how I decided to try oil painting. Which I have done all of one time since I got a set. 😅
I imagine that Bob Ross would be really happy with your paintings. They are unique to you and speak to how you wanted to interpret his instructions. This feels like you're doing true justice to his technique, style, and legacy.
I'm laughing so hard that I'm in pain!😂 Jazza, I just love you. And I will say, there's something nostalgic for me about your first painting. I would actually buy it.❤❤
I feel like you’ve done just about every Bob Ross challenge but one thing you haven’t done yet “to my knowledge” is following a Bob Ross tutorial on 2X speed 😂
Honestly what first got me onto your channel was a Bob Ross video you had made years ago that randomly popped up in my main menu, which I watched.... Absolutely loved it! I was so happy when I saw you did another one! 😁 This was fantastic!
Overlook the insanity 😂😂 Jazza droping F boombs right out of the gate had me all most spitting coffee at my phone laughing , then he put on the wig and that look was truly manic.. Thanks Jazza for giving me a good chuckle.
The fact that Jazza was able to make pretty accurate and fantastic-looking paintings without having any idea what he was doing or what to anticipate next just goes to show for talented of an artist he is
I’d watch jazza do a bob ross every week. There both such amazing artists. So simple but effective watching jazza replicate the greatest painter of all time. I’d love too see how close to perfect jazza could get replicating a bob ross if he actually just painted along with him while watching. And then had his staff grade it on a 1-10 scale or something
I really love the muted palette Jazza ended up with in the first one. I feel like adding a little highlight and shadow details it could bring it to a very stunning piece
Poor Jazza was stressing over a painting that was pretty amazing first of all second Jazza Bob always tells us it's our world, so wherever you want them trees or hills to go you put THEM THERE!! Love you Jazza you always brighten my day!
Love the bob ross challanges! The fire one is my fave. Heres a tough one. You have 10 minutes to study the final product of a bob ross painting and then without the tutorial you have to try and recreate it from memory.

I'm glad to see a return of the Bob Ross challenge. They were a couple of my favorite videos, and I feel like this is just unlimited content considering how many Bob Ross videos you could play, but I suppose you would eventually run out of interesting challenge ideas. I like it when the challenge is a bit challenging but still doable. The blindfolded and 2x speed ones were a little too painful for me 😂
Oh my God I forgot how much I love this channel. I haven't seen or thought of one of your videos in years. This brings back so many memories of me wanting to be an artist/animator growing up. I used to beg my dad to get me one of the Jazza Art Boxes for a month when they first released.
Honestly, I love these videos precisely because of how different the paintings always end up being. Whenever I watch Bob Ross, it feels like he's just trying to show us the technique and isn't specific because he wanted to encourage people to do things their own way. It just always felt like he explicitly didn't want us to just do the same painting as him and be creative with it and this just feels so in the spirit of what he was going for.

I like the Bob Ross videos. While I've never tried replicating one of his paintings, but I did use the techniques to do a painting of Castle Rock on Lake Superior. Rather than trying for a photo realistic painting, I used his techniques to strongly suggest what was there. Sadly, I no longer have that painting, but it was one of the better ones I've ever done.
I'm so glad you did another one of these! The previous one is my favorite. I do wish this would have been longer video and not edited with such quick tempo (as everything seems to be these days). I wanted more real time confusion haha! You did well.
I would love to see Jazza just have a peaceful happy little time where he paints alongside a bob ross video with no crazy rules or challenges. just a happy little video with some happy little trees
I love these Jazza-Bob Ross videos! They never fail to entertain and make me laugh. Please do more of these Jazza shenanigans 🤪 A little off-channel, but can’t Jazza sell these paintings and some other pieces of his silliness to help save TTT? 🥺
As a visually impaired artist i highly enjoyed this. Jazza's frustration is what i feel every time a sighted person attempts to describe something, or the location of something, to me.
Mom and I used to watch Bob Ross together when I was a kid. She would have loved your challenge! Great job trying to paint with him and without the visual clues!
This makes me want someone to make Bob Ross style tutorials that can be followed by watching or just by listening along as they guide you. Adding audio guides like which corner or which ground they’re painting in, and what sort of tone they’re trying to create so you can have a better understanding even just listening without watching
Glad ya did this fun challenge Jazza. I haven't painted for so long now since i got hooked with another hobby. But after watching this though is encouraging me to break out my easels again nice and slowly. This was what I needed to motivate me yet again. thanks Jazza. It's also itching me to give environment painting a shot since my speciality is mostly abstract. :)
To be fair, Bob always says that he doesn't want people to copy what he does, he wants them to use his paintings as a guide for their own world. So, honestly Bob would be proud because this is the very essence of what he wanted to teach people to do. Cheers Jazza :)
Yes, exactly!
I thought the 3rd was especially representative of this. It was a beautiful scenery that offered the same feelings/emotions but was in no way a direct copy.
Good insight my dude, are you close to Bob by any chance?
So much this. I really liked painting 1 better than what he was trying to follow (it was very like...Uluru in the background instead of rockies)
Facts
Jazza losing his mind over Bob Ross' painting by self-imposing stressful rules on himself is one of the classic content I always loved here:D
Agreed! I love when he pulls out his Bob Ross challenges ❤
Bob: "Maybe here and there we'll have some happy little things happening."
Jazza: "A noun! A noun! My kingdom for a noun!!!"
xD
"things" is a noun.
"We'll grab the brush and mix these two colours to make a happy medium, and just start dabbing around this part of the painting" ... so much information without imparting any real information. 😩
*Bob:* And over here and maybe over here as well, we’ll sort of grab the paint and pull in this direction, making tons of little happy things 😊
*Jazza:* WhERe!? Which DiReCTiOn?!! WhAt THiNGS!?!!! JUST GIVE ME SOMETHING!!!!! 😵😵😵
Me: 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 😇😇😇
@@MrEnte3000 I knew somebody would eventually say that. Congratulations.
Honestly damn impressive accuracy out of Jazza when Bob’s best descriptors end up consisting of “here and there” lol.
Bob just has that “whatever, it’s all good” type energy lol
Jazza's next Bob Ross challenge should be one of his kids or both explaining what the painting is and what Bob is doing in the video.
That actually sounds like it would be really funny and adorable.
@@RiveroftheWither it really would but also kids are bad at expaling things so it would show how strong of a bond they have.
Yess!!
I also third this idea as well. It could turn out to be a real funny challenge.
A fun variation would be doing the same but with other artists/genres also!
It is absolutely silly how many times Bob says 'here and there' and 'over here' without giving any specifics. I say you win this one, and get a trophy or two for even attempting this madness.
It’s still cool that he had the right intent
Kind of feel like Bob would be the most proud of this video. He always told us it was our world, we could put the trees and cabins and clouds where we wanted, and that’s just what you did, Jazza.
Yeah, most of the time when Bob says "put the tree wherever you feel like" people put it EXACTLY where Bob did😅
The team watched the entire Bob Ross catalogue to find the episodes where he is least descriptive.
Happy little thing right there.
This video was a blast to make - and shoutout to my new editor Benny, who did a brilliant job - the chaos captured in this video is 👌👌👌

I love how Bob’s videos are supposed to be relaxing and stress-free, and the whole time, Jazza was just absolutely losing his mind. I haven’t laughed so hard at a RUclips video in probably YEARS! Thanks for brightening up my Friday, Jazza!

Bro sad november land took me OUT
Jazzas first painting reminded me of iceland
bob ross and jrr Tolkien unite in their love of many trees XD
@@koatomasbezdek4860 Yeah he already said sad november land
I really think the main difference was in the contrast. Bob Ross always tended to use high contrast which made his paintings very vibrant. His earliest works on TV were sometimes bordering on the uncanny due to that (too strong too much all over).
Aaaah, my favorite kinds of Jazza videos - unhinged rage about Bob Ross 😂😂😂
We had a surprise Bob Ross party for my 15 daughter during lockdown at our house. We all wore wigs, shirts and fake mustaches and painted along with an episode. It became a tradition to watch as a family when it was on tv on Thursday nights here in the UK, obv couldn't have a regular celebration or go out so we came up with this idea it was so much fun!
Thats so wholesome! I love it!
Sounds awesome.
I love this ❤️😊
Bob: let's make a pinting that makes you feel good (makes green heels and beautyfull sky)
Jazza: proceeds to make the most depressing brownish cloudy landscape ever
You went from artist to full blown comedian, couldn't stop bloody laughing, great stuff Jazza.
I normally giggle a couple of times during his video but this one made me laugh out loud quite a lot haha
Honestly i think this is the perfect way to paint alongside bob, your goal shouldn't be to copy him perfectly, but to create your own painting, your own world
Imagine if someone does it without watching any single bob ross video (like a radio show) and he goes "amd beat the devil out of it" 😅
they'd tackle the canvass and destroy the set, i'd imagine lmao

Ah the chaotic Jazza we needed 🤠 honestly the paintings turned out so good, I can't even create something like that while watching the video 🙂👍🏼
I actually really like the first and third ones. Especially the third one, the colours turned out really well

For how extremely vague the audio from Bob is, "right in there", "lives over here", "add some nice brush strokes", you absolutely nailed it. Amazing!
Oh my gosh I loved this one. The essence of Jazza lol. Benny was MADE for this job👏
I think they all turned out really really good, with a very unique flair. Especially the last one, I loved the trees in Jazza’s in the campfire piece.
