0:00 YES! Ibanez RG guitars. I've owned an RG521 laser blue (now discontinued), an RG565 (Emerald green)--sold it, and finally another RG565 (vampire kiss) because I DO want to love the RG but alas, now I'm putting an end of this short era, and will be selling my RG565 once I get my "replacement" (eyeing a PRS SE as you know). I did eye on this Fender Telecaster MiM for a short while, but instead grabbed an FGN 24-fret Fishman-equipped Tele-shape guitar instead. It's my Drop-C guitar to this date!
I'm in a similar boat as you. I used to play an Ibanez RG (then RGD but I said that in the other post lol), and someone along the line I just wanted something different. Do you like your FGN Tele shaped guitar? I did look at those before getting this tele. Are you fine with the lack of arm carve? Or if you want to stick with Ibanez, have you considered the AZ or Quest series? Assuming you're okay with headless guitars (Quest) that is.
Nice job. Those MIM Fenders are solid guitars, and the humbuckers sound good to me. There are many finer details that can determine if a guitar is a good fit, and sometimes it makes sense to move it along rather than compromising.
I'm with you about the humbucker pickups. The new player 2 is better than the one but so heavy coming from an old non-electric acoustic. I really wanted an Ibanez but not in this year's budget. Keep playing and make good content.
@bjackson4 The Ibanez RG Iron Label Electric Guitar Black Flat. The sound and feel is amazing... although it looks a bit hard rock/metal, it can play anything.
My two guitars that I just wanted to love are the SG and the Tele. Love the way both look, but SG with the extended neck and neck dive and the Tele with the reduced lower fret access and it somewhat positions out a bit more than a superstrat. Guess I’ll stick with my Charvels.
One of the harsh feelings when it comes to guitar; wanting to love a guitar but you just don't. I hope the Charvels treat you well! I've been eyeballing a DK24 HH.
Ive got two Telecasters, and i love them. One of my Tele's is sn American standard HH, so its a lot like yours, the other is an American professional 11, and neither of them has a bevelled edge, and it doesn't bother me at all. Try playing it on a longer strap, and play it a lot, and the finish will wear off!
Thank you for sharing and for the suggestion! I usually play with my guitar high up so I’ll give it a go with playing it lower and playing it a lot and will see how it goes!
I bought a Gibson Les Paul standard. It sounded and looked awesome but it was just too heavy. I sold it and bought a Gibson SG '61 and it's so much more comfortable. 2 different guitars though imo.
At least you were able to stay with Gibson though! Did you end up enjoying the SG? It’s nice when you want to buy from a specific brand and you find something that you’re able to connect with 😄

Thank you! I agree 😎.
I've had a few teles and my favorite is MIM...

What Ibanez did you want? Thank you so much! 😄

That guitar looks sick! 🤘🏽

I’ve been there too mate. I’ve sold many guitars that I’ve tried to connect to, and just couldn’t.
Also nice Man City mug!
It can be bittersweet at times.
Thank you! 😄. It’s my favorite mug

@@bjackson4 Yes, I really like the SG 61'. It just suits me. The new colors really sealed the deal for me. I bought the silver mist.
Teles and humbucker a doesn't make sense, trad tele or nothing, or a different type of guitar
I respect your opinion, but disagree 😄
