Probably their most consistantly brilliant live song. I first saw U2 play it live in The Estadio Vicente Calderon in Madrid - Saturday May 22 1993 - on the Zoo TV Tour. Seen them many times before and many times since, but it it remains, for me at least, the stand out live song in the band's live repetoire. It's an absolute live banger.
this song is a beast. Their best rock song. Man, I was 12 when i first heard this in the 90s. It was shown live via satellite during the Freddy mercury's homage concert ( I think u2 was in LA at the time). I was a kid who was into the heavy rock and it was never the same after that. I felt goosebumps . Still do. The strangeness, the apocalyptic, industrial air, the irony and just that guitar, the rhythm section and Bono's singing, who looked like a guy from another planet in an Elvis jacket. Damn. Still in love with this song and this record. No other band of their generation made something like this. Not even themselves after it. Only Zooropa was in that ballpark. This is rock elevated to art. Bless you all.
A shame that Larry couldn’t experience this. But WOW… Bram really nailed it. A Drummer from a small country called Holland. I can imagine that he is living a dream. And how nerves must he have been before the show.
@@mikytouboul305 😁😂😂 I like your question! Let me explain. I'm almost 60 and I'm sure that you're far, far ahead of me tech-wise. I know almost everybody has a streaming service now but I can't afford internet so I just play DVD's on my TV. Thank you for giving me a chuckle, my friend. 🙂
This is the first U2 concert cycle that I've opted out of since 1983, since instead of their coming to a nearby city, I would have had to go to Vegas and spend money on flights and hotel. I wish them well, and I appreciate high tech advancements (I just saw ABBA Voyage and recommend it), but one thing I observe is that there's no way for die-hard fans to have that close-up intimate contact like in past shows. The stage is too high, and there is no catwalk.
I don't know, maybe if I was there I'd feel differently but at some point the spectacle takes away from the music. This doesn't feel like a live show. It feels more like an exhibit at epcot.
Sound n video are unrivaled Actual outdoors gives a different sensation. Different not better. Seating was spacious. We were in 106 The three higher tiers appeared steep. For a first show the staff was ample and well prepared Ingress and egress was typical Stay at the Venetian Mirage Treasure Island etc and walk Get pre show eat n drink at Venetian
Read they will play 25 shows there and get a million per performance , plus ticket and merch revenues . Maybe Larry is tired of touring and playing their back catalog … ?
Larry will get his cut. That band shares the $$. I imagine they'll give the replacement drummer 25% ( more or less) and the balance will be split 4 ways between Bono, Larry, Adam and Edge. That's what I think anyway.

Genuinely looks like the greatest show on earth
This has always been my most absolute favorite song that U2 ever put out❤💙💜
Absolutely love this song.
This & mysterious ways were the 2 best songs from
Concert last night
Truly ridiculous that they played zero songs from their first 3 albums
This song obviously still rings true today ....did REM steal this song ? ....End of the world as we know it
I’m right with you. Song absolutely kills me.
@@rebjiii??? REM's song predates this by 4 years.

If I was in his shoes I would not have been able to sleep the night before, so huge respect for him.
Bram is kicking ass. Sounds awesome.
Wonderful music and perfect band !!!
The wow factor is off the charts, this is one helluva concert experience.
The band knows the owner of the venue, Steve wynn. They had been working on this for a very long time.
Nice to see an audience member in-frame and not holding up a cellphone. He actually enjoying the concert experience! 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ
Agree, but still a lot of people talking during the song...
We wouldn't be enjoying this if someone was doing that
@@michaelball7830Very good point.
Zoo TV😍😍

Thank God this is on the play list! Looks insane (and hope the sound/sonics are as good as advertised)
One of the highest quality videos I have ever seen captured by a concert goer! Thanks! Great work. This is why I come to RUclips.

❤❤😍😍💥💥
Amazing!!!
Isn’t it?! I should have took a pre-sale ticket when I had the chance but the ‘no Larry’ thing was knawing at me. Damn damn damn…..
Awesome... Thanks for Posting!! 🪰
How are they going to fit Mickey Harts drums on that little stage?
make a bigger stage!!

El inicio con la presentación de las pantallas del ZOO TV tour!
✌️✌️✌️💯
3:48 before THIS ... the last major event is the Cedarwood Road tsunami...now there is fire
Vegas really is the elephants graveyard of rock'n'roll... I'm glad I got to see Zoo TV in 1993
This reminds me of 🧌s
Hey John, do you have a video of The Fly perfomance? your videos are top tier quality, thanks!!
Spectacular venue. Great job filming John. What are you using to film John ?
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

How was the sound?
Solid, not too loud but very clear
What's your review John? Particularly of the venue. Worth persevering for future gigs? Awesome experience? Or too much hype?
seems that ive found the reason for that chip shortage the auto industry experienced....
Is this an indoor or outdoor gig ?

who is the drummer? not bad!!!
Dutch guy. Bram van de Burg
Excuse me. It's van den Berg.
I miss Larry Mullen jr. nothing compares
I think Bram did a Great job 👌🇳🇱🥁
@@caskstrength7629Agree. Great drummer
Bram is kicking serious ass. That rocked.
How would u rate the sphere compared to other concert venues
A 15 on a scale of 1 to 10
Sound n video are unrivaled
Actual outdoors gives a different sensation. Different not better.
Seating was spacious.
We were in 106

Is it just a matter of a Phone mic but sound overall have not enough power? It sound veey flat and powerless
Finally a song out of the sphere that that did have all that annoying visual distractions
I hate to say it but that drummer just took the hold band up a few notches.
And he's Dutch 😮
Bram was awesome!
u2 may as not have even been there, nobodies watching them.
You'd miss Larry's right foot on this baby all the same //
Most of their songs are about God. Case in point.🐑🇺🇲💰🔥
Drummer sounds better than Larry
Not quite as dynamic as the last tour
Read they will play 25 shows there and get a million per performance , plus ticket and merch revenues .

?
He has had surgery and needs to recover.
This song and mysterious ways were the 2 beats songs on Friday night in Vegas
Set set list was mediocre at best
Why the hell are people talking nonstop???
that stage should satisfy little bona's ego for a while anyway , but he is still wearing his high heels ......
Bono sounds off here and fairly bad.
No larry= no u2. Bono taking the cash
Larry will get his cut. That band shares the $$. I imagine they'll give the replacement drummer 25% ( more or less) and the balance will be split 4 ways between Bono, Larry, Adam and Edge. That's what I think anyway.
