This song's been pretty meaningful to me ever since I first heard it. In a way, I suppose the main reason I keep coming back to it is cuz I get to hear someone else explain what it's like so succinctly. Really helps each time it all crashes down.

I was not expecting to see a cover of this, but I'm definitely not complaining. It's always nice to see Caleb making covers, even if I can't always find a good way to express that.
May just be my ears, but I appreciate the parts that sound a little choked up. Very fitting of this song.
...I did also notice one mismatch in lyrics. Just to confirm some of us are paying full attention at least once to these covers.

I thought the veering from the lyrics was purposeful for the "I don't care but I don't want to die" thing the song is going for
@@ayleth891 Perhaps. The lyrics still fit, just surprised to get a difference between on-screen and in-ear. I'm sure it's been mentioned plenty of times as well, but that's the usual result of commenting before combing.

I have a feeling the lyrics were changed on purpose but accidentally slipped in the original when referencing them to make this video

My first time hearing the original version of this song was actually a few days ago- I found it on Spotify while looking for a different song called Numb (yes that Numb). I’d never heard of it even in the slightest, but clicked it anyway because I was curious. It had a vibe that I really jived with, so I kept it on my liked playlist.
Imagine my surprise when today I go to my discovery tag and you not only covered it, but covered it recently! I enjoy your version just as much as the original, and I honestly super appreciate you doing covers for songs like this one. Your voice is great as usual, and I always love the emotion you add into your inflection. Hoping the best ✌️

Oooh I LOVE this song! It's been one of my favorites for last year or so. I'm so happy to see you do a cover! A great companion song to this with less apathy and more anger is Numb by Waterparks and I'd love to hear you do that one too, if you like it. It deals with society only approving of you when you're numb and not being gloriously yourself. Though it does has a few f-bombs in it.
