The 205 T16 and matti alamaki, a legend- The 205 at it's developement peak where group B did not have time to climb. I'm so happy the legendary cars got a new life for years in the rally cross, and istead of a ban, the developement just went past them as the new designed for fwd drive (and many for rallying in group A just got past them as factory racing departments and teams put their contribution to new cars as manufacturers have to sell them. In Rally cross or WRX as it is now known, group B had years to shine and the millions spent to develope them did not go to waste, atleast so bad, and the cars could "go with the boots on" instead of dusting away in museums. And I'm glad most of the current owners take care of them and race them occasionally in historic series, not to mention replicas in hillclimb and other series & exhibition events. Group B never dies, but current WRC is starting to be even more mental. The power has gone past the early group B with 450+ hp and the torque is even bigger momentarily, even without the hybrid powerline given bonus. And the cornering speeds are absolutely mental! MENTAL!
