My hair is 3b, 3c, 4a, 4b.... depends on where on my head you look. The back by the nape shrinks more than the middle so folk think I have a bob cut when they see it in the curly state. Hahaha but it's all the same length. It's like God knew I would never be happy with a basic.every.days.the.same style and built in some versatility.

FYI- You're supposed to add conditioner after the clay mask anyway. I did the very FIRST version of MHM. We pretty much only used Kinky Curly and that was ALWAYS after the clay circa 2015-2016

My hair does the same thing. If it is dry 4a, wet 3c with a small 3 b patch

We have the EXACT same hair 😩❣️ so glad it's not just me, I'm 3c 4a too and it was kinda eerie hearing you describe your hair and it being the same exact things I say about mine lol
When you went back in your routine and added the Aztec clay you basically just wash your conditioner out your hair again because that's what Aztec clay does it's off it's a cleanser so you wash your hair twice maybe you should have mixed the apple cider vinegar with the Aztec clay. I would have mixed the clay with the apple cider vinegar and then put a conditioning mask afterwards. Once you put a conditioner on your hair at basically already closes up that cuticle. So if you add a conditioner on top of a conditioner with Basin is not penetrating into your hair.
Hmm must admit that makes a lot of sense! I’m going to start using all conditioning products after the clay mask

Your (and anyone else's) inability to classify your curls is the result of a VERY FLAWED hair classification system. Curl type is asinine. You know the most important things to know about your hair, and it looks gorgeous!

Your need calling your curls a certain thing is ignorant. People who are actually curly hair, lifelong, informed, and not social media needing following hair doing lives, know their hair, it's the trend followers who need someone to put a letter and number on it. You can use the shampoo from Melanin if you don’t like ACV. The star of max hydration is a clay wash. Honestly,there were days that I just used the clay wash and my hair was still moisturized. There are tons of modified max hydration videos for people who don’t have time to do the whole method.
You’re definitely right about the clay being the highlight of the method. Honestly I’m thinking about modifying the method to cut the time myself....takes too much time

How you made your clay mask is not clear. Kindly share the measurements, was the apple cider vinegar diluted??
I wish you could mention how long time you have to wait between the rinses. You waited 30 mins with the deep conditioner, what about the rest?thanks
For the apple cider vinegar rinse, i rinsed only after 2 minutes. I left the lay mask on for 30 minutes as well .

How often can I use the mask? It made my hair look so good last week I wanna do it again this week 😭
Well I heard it’s safe to use a few times a week(though I wouldn’t recommend), but once a week should be perfect 👌🏽

Your hair behaves just like mine and I'm medium porosity
Sometimes I believe my hair isn’t low porosity but every time I do the test that’s the outcome.
My hair is the same also. 3a wet, 4a dry with medium porosity. My hair is just like me ALL OVER THE PLACE🤣😂

I think 4a/b hair has super powers to go from kinky to curly in wash and go/s and type 4b/c has the super powers for twist outs and braid outs with minimum effort,
I can definitely understand this! I still want to try out more twist and braidouts
For me my hair texture changes when it’s dirty. It’s kind of like a different texture but not at the same time. It’s hella confusing😒Comment if dis happens 2 u 2.

It doesn't change it just dry! For some like myself and yourself, we have an oily scalp and are very prone to buildup so keeping our hair clean is key to moisturized hair other than products. So we need to shampoo weekly. For others who are not prone to buildup dirty hair doesn't change their curls because they need the extra, heavy product for their hair to be moisturized. Products help us as well but the key is to use light products 🙂

My hair is the same, But I dont think it goes from 4a to 3c.... We have to understand that some type 4a and 4b hair can achieve clumping very easily, while some other 4a and 4b can do the exact thing and not get the same results I swear our hair is whole science lol! I can go from AFRO to jerri curl with water and conditioner

Your hair looks like 4b not 4a. Type 4a curls fall flat even when dry. Yours doesn't. I also have 4b hair as well🙂... Though I can definitely see the 3c. I have 4b/3a/3b curls and my hair tends to poof up when dry. It doesn't hang like typical 4a hair so I know you are 4b.
it looks like you are mostly 4A with some 3C on the top and maybe a few 3B strands

I actually do prefer to let it fluff and get volume naturally , I just picked for the purpose of this video so that everyone can see what it looks like in that state🙂
