THANK YOU for the realness from the start...beginning in your thumbnail. Makes me now wonder how many YT "influensters" who post before/after pics claiming massive hair GROWTH when the change was ONLY from STRETCHING! You just saved us from falling for future clickbait or buying these tricks' product lines. Thank you again for caring enough to educate.
This is one of the most helpful natural hair videos! I usually walk around with my hair in the “before” state. I will definitely make an effort to stretch and shape starting today.
I never thought the banding method could help stretch out a wash and go -- t didn't even pop into my mind! I prefer using no heat on my hair so this is literally perfect!! I'm excited to try it out on my next wash n go (which will also be the second time I've ever done it, I've always just been so intimidated trying it again bc my first experience weren't great🤣) thanks so much sis x
This is a great idea. I deep conditioned last night and have my hair in moisturized chunky twists but watching this makes me wanna try this now, Ima just wait and do it next weekend on wash day.
Looks beautiful 😻 From a professional standpoint ladies and gents, if you’re seeking a specific shape, it’s best to have it cut while in its curliest state. Cutting while stretched is best for those who wear their hair that way 80% of the time.
Omg!!! I'm here thinking that my hair will never look or be full! Girlll thank you for putting us on!!!! I may wear my hair out for a week or two before putting it in a protective style again! Appreciate you!
Oh my 😊 What a beauty and what beautiful hair. Thank you so much for the easy to follow tutorial on Hair stretching. I really appreciate the heatless tips. I’m gonna try it tonight.
Wow, Thank You. This was really helpful. For a few weeks now I kept going back and forth on whether or not to do a wash and go. I have been wearing wigs for a few months now but I must admit that wearing wigs have made me really lazy. I don't wash and take care of my natural hair like I used to. After my mom passed away last year, I stopped doing anything for myself. I think I could use a little self-love right now. Thank you for making this video. It really made my day.
Thank you for this!! Sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy because my wash and go results will be more stretched one week compared to the next and I don't know how to control it. Sometimes it has me doubting the growth that I swear was there the week before. I get that maybe I should alternate this method with heatless stretching options but this one is a great one to have in your back pocket when you need it!
Thank you! I needed that! Shaping has always been a bit difficult for me. I usually also just wait for it to stretch over a course of three days or so while hating the day one shrinkage. I will have to try the banding method and switch my wash and gos to the evening.
Your hair is beautiful and so is your spirit. I talk about your methods all the time. You inspired me to do the big chop. Now I want your length...like tomorrow. Do you have any suggestions on how to speed up growth?
I’m definitely going to try this method. I always have an issue after my hair dries. It’s bomb that day but not after because of the stretching & sleeping. Something doesn’t work right. Thanks again.
Girl!!! THANK YOU FOR THE NIGHTTIME scarf routine! I Just did my first wash n go on Sunday and when I woke up on Mon for work I was like, “ ugh, look at my hair!” The side I slept on was crazy and I had to spray it a bit to reform it. But, this method I will use going forward!! Thank you so much again !!
24/6/24 Soooooo helpful. The difference after stretching is amazing and beautiful and is exactly the look I would like to achieve. 😍 This feels like a game-changer! It has made me want to try wearing my hair natural again.👌🏽 Thank you.🙏🏾
Thank you girl! I’m going to try both methods. I often wear my hair in a low puff they day after wash day because my hair has no shape and is flat (like yours in the video). But now I know what to do 😍💕💕 (been following you since the beginning btw 😘)
Thanks so much!! I watched this right after watching your foam video. I definitely need the foam you recommended for the definition I want, lolz, but otherwise I’m happy with my results! Also, I appreciate you showing how you tie your hair down. The bigger the hair, the bigger the scruggle!
This was very very helpful! I didn’t know how to properly stretch my hair, nor did I know how to put it up when going to bed. I would just out a bonnet on it, and it’d be messed up in the morning. So, thank you!! P.S. You have an amazing speaking voice. It’s so sultry and comforting!
Love your night time routine! I'm go na start trying that! The pineapple method never worked for me and throwing a scarf on my edges and a bonnet over top just leaves me curls soooooo flat and its annoying to reshape every single day. Thanks for the tips. I normally do banding method to stretch, but it takes 2 days. 1 for drying, then 2nd night i stretch... but your method can be done in one day if I use a diffuser to stretch my hair.
I love the look of stretching with heat but repeatedly doing it, I experienced heat damage. I’m learning to love the shrinkage! If I do stretch, I do the banding method.
That's the only reason I haven't done heat stretching ever; I don't want to chance heat damage. But the look is so 😍. However the banding method gets me right and sometimes I rock the shrunken look cause its badass anyway lol
SAME! All of these styling videos are great, but I've never seen the how-to to keep it fresh and maintain it throughout the week! All this time and effort to make it beautiful - I wanna make sure it lasts! 😅
This video was everything I needed! Absolutely ready for my next wash and go now to see how long it lasts. I've never done the night time routine right lol
I have a video suggestion.. and my apologies if u have done this already but could u please show a week in ur wash n go? Like how u refresh ur curls in the morning & what products.. my hair is always so smushed the next morning I tie my hair down at night the same way u showed but I'm LOST the next morning. Love ur vids they've helped me so much!!🥰💞💕
you’re honestly a life saver for this video. i struggle trying to get my curls to be stretched cause the shrinkage is real! definitely got a subscription out of me 👏🏽💕🫶🏽
When I stretch my hair with heat it shrinks back up a few hrs later. The banding method works a little better for my hair. I wonder if i heat stretch & band it would last longer? Beautiful results as always love the whole look!! 💕
Miss Mini Marley, I stopped your video part-way through and stretched my hair with a blowdryer for the first time and OMgEE! I finally have the hairstyle I always wanted while my hair grew! No more short, curly afro, which was cute! Now, for a change since it's grown from a pixie cut to below my shoulders, it's a fabulous "umbrella" of cascading curls. Thank God for you Influencers! At 66 years old, I'm just learning how to care for my 1-year-old chemical-free naturally curly hair.
Thank you so much; What a Great Video!!!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 I have been really struggling with the shrinkage and how the maintain my style throughout the week; you gave Great Tips 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🥰🥰🥰🥰
Luv this 🤗 🤗. Your hair grew back so fast. I can't wait for mine to get back past shoulder length. I think i'll try this on my twist out with perm rods. STAY SAFE QUEENS AND KINGS. GOD BLESS.
fun fact: it's not smoke coming off the hair when heat is applied. The heat causes vapor to come out when you use styling products. Also, it's humidity leaving your hair since humidity makes our hair shrink.
Your hair is so pretty. I wear my hair natural when spring comes around. I always have trouble because my curls shink and my ends frizz up in different areas of my hair. My hair also gets dry fast when I am detangling my hair and my hair soaks up oil quickly. My hair texture is like yours but not as bouncy and thick because I am a older woman in my early fifties, so am losing hair and my ends are thin but my roots are thick.I also tried a lot of hair oils and products for natural hair to see what work on my hair. I will watch more of your videos to help my stubborn hair and THANK YOU SO MUCH for doing this video. If you can recommend some tips I would be grateful. 😊

beautiful! I normally band my hair to stretch its! it works so well
Thanks. You answered 2 questions I've had forever. How do you get shape. How do you cover at night. I was sectioning my was and go then tying down. The rest of the week my shape is flattened and parted wherever I sectioned. Definitely going to try it.
Idk why I haven’t invested in a diffuser I usually let it air dry. Your hair shaped is gorgeous❤️. Give me a few more inches and then imma have my hair cut in a cute shape
WOW!! Thank you so MUCH for this! I have this blow dryer and I've only used the diffuser to dry and stretch my hair. I will use the directed heat for stretching :-).
I’m giving you a like because you are the only person who did a complete video including night routine.. I appreciate this video new subscriber just off that
I literally do this like every other day when i finger coil or flexirod my hair and I’ve ever had any damage to my curl pattern...the coolest setting works...game changer tbh bc u can shape ur hair all kinda of ways. I also like banding with satin strips when it gets old.
I love your style, love your advices, love your smile and the passion you share, and I love listening to you cause I'm french and I understand you very well :) thanks for your videos
Lovely😍 the tips were helpful thank you for sharing . How to keep your scarf in place when you sleep cuz mine always comes off before the next morning?😩
Beautiful as always.😊💖🌈🦋 I need that scarf.😏 Plus, I always may get the Dyson now since I saw you use it on your wash and go so well. Love you Mini Marley and thank you for all you do for us.💖
I thought I was the only one using this method 😂. And to keep it stretched overnight and to keep from adding more heat I band my hair at night. I love this method!
New sub here! It was the tip at the end for me. Your results were gorgeous!! I was asking myself… I wonder how she maintains this for the week, and then BOOM! Thanks for sharing! 😘

Not sure if it’s the way your hair is layered, but it falls so beautifully in a side part!
When she said her hair looked crazy after she got done blow drying it. I was like, her " crazy" is a perfection to me.
Definitely I thought it looked adorable both views gorgeous hair!
The fact that she has no frizz 😍
Exactly
I mean…. I am in awe.
I shingle the front and frizz prone areas. Perfect!
She a magician 😮😂
This is one of the most helpful natural hair videos! I usually walk around with my hair in the “before” state. I will definitely make an effort to stretch and shape starting today.
I agree
You made stretching look so effortless 😩 when I stretch my hair I feel like it shrink back up lol
Same. I stretch it then like an hour later it's right back up to my ears
Same!
It happens to me too, so frustrating 😩
Stretch with warm heat and the go through and stretch again with cool heat to lock the stretch in place.
Band after you stretch for like 15 minutes
Thank you sis!! After being natural 13 yrs YOU inspired me to actually DO my hair!! 🥰🥰
The wash and go queen, the 1st youtuber I ever watched to help do my hair wayyy back when..still got that touch cause not a frizz in sight.💪🏾
I just wanted to tell you that your wash and go routine from 3 yrs ago was and is amazing and I never done it different since. Love it

This was perfect!!! Gorgeous as always!! I learned that I must take the time out to properly stretch my hair by sectioning to get the best results!!!
Glad I stuck around for the bonus because that was my next question!! How to maintain it and for how long!! Awesome!! Clips and silk scarf it is!!
Same for me!
Okay Breanna we see them INCHES, HEALTH, AND GROWTH your hair is flourishing I definitely gotta start stretching my hair more😍😍
Girl I’ve been watching you for years and u never seem to disappoint me ! Love your videos. Keep you the great work sis 🥰
I'm wearing my curls now. Life (Hairstyle) saver...!!! 👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏾🙏🏾
Wow, what a difference! I’m still in the twa phase but these are definitely great tips. Thanks!
Thank you! I needed that! Shaping has always been a bit difficult for me. I usually also just wait for it to stretch over a course of three days or so while hating the day one shrinkage. I will have to try the banding method and switch my wash and gos to the evening.
Gurl!!! your hair grows so fast!!! You really mastered this tech😍 love your jewelry
Thank you!! I feel like I’ve perfected my wash n go but I don’t like the shape. I’m going to try this and see how it goes 🤞🏾
Fluffed to the gods! You hair is goals.
Thank you for showing the night time routine. That’s always my issue the next day. I’m a flat ball
Your hair is beautiful and so is your spirit. I talk about your methods all the time. You inspired me to do the big chop. Now I want your length...like tomorrow. Do you have any suggestions on how to speed up growth?
Rice water or fenugreek 🤗
Excellent method for preserving the curls and being able to sleeping comfortably overnight while protecting the hairstyle. Well done.
Great pointers, I'm just now learning to wear and maintain my natural curly hair ❤
This was AMAZING! I followed your instructions for using heat and my hair has never had so much movement!!! And it's so soft!
Girl!!! You have showed me something today! I love it. I will be using ALL your tips. ❤️
I’m definitely going to try this method. I always have an issue after my hair dries. It’s bomb that day but not after because of the stretching & sleeping. Something doesn’t work right. Thanks again.

You are literally my favorite natural hair RUclipsr!! Much love to you!!!!

Great topic! Thank you!! My wash n go game is strong from watching your videos. The banding method is the favorite for me for stretching.

Thanks for that insight. I will stick to my silk scrunchies to band and save the blow dryer for special occasions.,

@@minimalassembly7893 Thanks for giving the example of silk scrunchies! That's much healthier than the regular bands other YTers are showing.
I use the silk elements heat protectant while stretching ☺️
I use the cool air setting on my blow dryer when stretching
Hi! I don’t know if you have a video on how to refresh your hair once it gets dry but I would love to see what you do...if it happens to you.
MissTJ Yes! That's a good one...👏🏾👏🏾
I've been looking for a video like that too!

Great video and gorgeous, gorgeous hair. Now I know how to stretch my hair with or without heat!! Thank you!!
This looks so simple, I think I’ll try the banding method since I don’t have a dryer with that second attachment.
You don't necessarily need the nozzle. You can still do it without it.

Thought I was the only one who did this. Used to think everyone was able to get that stretched look with a diffuser alone. Thanks for sharing!!
Wow this video is for the handbook. I’m so grateful.
Thanks for adding both methods!!! Soo helpful and beautiful! 🥰
Thank you so much; What a Great Video!!!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 I have been really struggling with the shrinkage and how the maintain my style throughout the week; you gave Great Tips 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🥰🥰🥰🥰
Her before is exactly how my hair looks. I gave up on wash and goes but this video gives me hope. Gonna give it a try.
It's the voluminous scrumptious curls for me! Yes, Queen!
I love this and Dyson owes you a check because I'm definitely buying that blow dryer.
Hunny the volumeeee!!!😍
What products did u use for the wash n go to have no flakes
Thanks. Finally someone with hair a similar texture! I'm going to give that a try

You answered 2 questions I've had forever.
How do you get shape.
How do you cover at night.
I was sectioning my was and go then tying down.
The rest of the week my shape is flattened and parted wherever I sectioned.
Definitely going to try it.
Get it sis! I think I may go back to the double stretch method soon, or just the first method on day 1, and band throughout the week. Idk lol
Your hair is so gorgeous! 😍 Thanks for the tips! 🙋🏾♀️🙌🏾
This was super helpful! I am a twist-out girl but would like to try more wash & go styling.
