      Thanks 🙂 I'm glad you liked the shells, I was feeling like a change and we have so many lying around the house, it seemed a shame not to paint some!

      @@gee355Art Thank you! I’m in the U.S. and can’t find the NOVA markers so I ordered a set of neutral from the U.K. I’d also love to see you paint fish and other sea life with the markers.

      @@gee355Art you've made me dig out a set of cheap-ish watercolor markers that I've barely played with. I need to give them a proper test. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

      @@Sandrinesgallery that's great 😃 remember to try them on different papers, watercolour markers can be so fussy about what papers they work on 😆

    Loved your technique and the colors used. I always look forward to your postings and feel inspired to tackle new subjects. I recently retired and picked up watercolor painting again after a 17 year break. Your lessons encouraged me to try the watercolor pens and I am enjoying them a lot. Thank you for sharing your talent.

    I like both the sealife and the flower paintings. Am I mistaken about the Nova pens having 20 colours split in two sets of ten? At least that is what I could find.

    • @gee355Art
      @gee355Art  5 лет назад +2

      You are not mistaken, they come in 10 'Bright' ones and 10 'Neutrals' (which is basically 7 browns and 3 greys, I think). I do like the brush tip a lot but I've yet to try them on different papers OR try the normal nib. I'll be interested to try them in my current strathmore sketchbook, as the Aquamarkers and W&N WCM both stain the paper a fair bit in it... ( which is why my Inktober sketches have been done with lovely soft Lamy fountain pen ink 😄)

      gee massam Art I have really enjoyed your videos. I just bought some watercolor pens (w &N). That is how I found your channel. I learn from all your videos about how to blend.
      Also I like it when you work from life and not a photo. The photos are good too (that is how I work). However, I aspire to work from life outside (I can’t remember that word).

      @@allonewordcaps thank you! I'm glad you have found the videos useful 🙂 I think you're right, painting from or drawing from life is so important - I'm guilty of not doing it enough!! When I'm making a video I do it in little stolen moments of time and the lighting will be different each time I return, that's my reason for using photos a lot of the time 😉

      gee massam Art I prefer working form a photo for the steady light source. The main benefit for me is that the image is already flat. The perspective is set and I only have to follow along. So much easier.
