Christianity is about the inner change of a man, it’s about a personal relationship with God and a ultimately a choice: the narrow path that leads to life or the wide path that is easy to take and leads to destruction. It’s about compassion, love, discipline, accountability and responsibility. We’re not “slaves of God” but His children whom He loves and cares for, but ultimately we’re given free will.

Gautama Buddha died from aging or this theory is made by Hinduizers who love to slander Buddhism and are weaponised by Christian missionaries and Muslim Dawah.
One more thing I would point out on science and Christianity......many of the founding fathers of science were Christians. Basically the backbone of science and Francis Bacon scientific method started with Christians.
Yes they were christians until they discovered science. Most of the scientists, even in today's world, live double life of being religious and scientific. They never let their religion become a thorn in their scientific worldview and vice versa. And as you say, many founding fathers of modern science were also not christians or do not believed in god like Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, Carl Sagan, Niels Bohr, Nikola Tesla, Erwin Schrodinger, John Dalton, Alan Turing, Alfred Nobel, Michael Faraday, Stephen Hawking and many more. All I am saying is that by definition, a scientist cannot be a believer. Science doesn't work through faith. It works on Understanding, Logic, Rationality and Scientific Evidence.
The title of this video should be BUDDHISM vs WESTERN CHRISTIANITY (and perhaps more specifically PROTESTANT CHRISTIANITY). Eastern Christianity (Orthodox), which is the original Christianity, is very different than Western Christianity in most aspects presented here and in many aspects it is closer (although not in complete agreement) to Buddhism than Western Christianity.
"where are babies coming from? ", asking from a kid. Yet many can't answer this question. Who gave you your body? Can you survive without food? How can do things on your own?
Learn Science for that, it explains how the things works. We can do things alone if we are smart enough, it true that the society is depending with each others actions. But, we can avoid bad things and do good things. For an example, think you were born in a poor family but if you work well you can be rich. Richness (progress/change) doesnt depend on your past or where do you come from, it's your own action. That's how the Karma works according to Buddhism. And remember karma doesnt pass through generations, it depends on your own actions.

Funny how at every comparison video there are a strain of comments all saying the exact same thing on how "X religion is so much more logical than Christianity", as if the bot-activity isn't obvious. The fact of how singled out Christendom is for hatred and mockery unlike other religions is a testement to its truth. A truth the devil does all he can to suppress. Evil does not care about hindering lies, it only fears the truth. John 15:18 "If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first."
i wouldnt say theyre bots, but they definitely feel better when they try and attack the logic behind christian doctrine. in my opinion, it makes christianity more appealing to be difficult to understand. even with all the oversimplification done in the bible, we still struggle to comprehend what it tells us. why? because the word of God is not easy to comprehend
Something being hated doesn't mean it's true this is false reasoning. Christianity is the most popular religion in the world and it's most dominant in the countries that value free speech the most. Obviously it's going to be the religion you see the most hate against
@@angelospantelides66 I never said that this alone proves Christianity, so that is rather a false argument. I only said it gives testament to its truth, and that is a spiritual matter. Further; the rationale that the most dominant religion automatically is the most hated is fallacious. The omitted part there is the comparison of how little (or not at all) other religions are criticised, open for questioning or satire compared to Christianity. Islam is not far behind Christendom in size, when's the last time it was satired or decried by the general public?
@alexanderb5726 Islam is being criticized frequently on Tik tok you just have a different fyp than mine. The hated part still doesn't give testament to its truth. Hatred isn't connected to truth. Nonetheless most atheists you see question and criticize Christianity because they know the most about that religion since they live in a Christian society. How many atheists live in Saudi Arabia compared to the west? And how many of them do you see online? Free speech is a huge factor. Christianity being the most criticized religion is not a surprise
@@angelospantelides66 Tik tok means nothing and it has certainly not been viral enough to show up on common radars. Yes it does. As I said it's a spiritual matter. Islam resides hugely in many/most western lands, there's ample reason to criticise it but we do not see any netflix shows on a gay mohammed as we do with Jesus. Not to put you down, but have a look into eastern philosophies and even western ones dating hundreds of years before Christianity (Buddhist Theravada philosophies, Zen, Stoicism..). Regarding science, it's true that many scientific discoveries were made in Europe in the last 500 years or so as they got richer and supported more scientists, but they're built upon previous knowledge from many other civilizations. As time progress, inventions will continue to come from all parts of the world, it has little to do with faith. Important thing is to recognize the overarching similarities between humans from all countries and strive for the common goal of human happiness.
@GreatTrollger modern philosophy? No. Also Christianity didn’t invent anything. Christianity itself is a human inventions. Humans who believed in Christianity furthered modern science. Lord Buddha was atheist and most scientific approach 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I used to be a Buddhist.
But then, in my lowest point I decided to pray to God, our Lord and savior.
The thought of reincarnation scared me and would give me anxiety and panic attack, I tried to meditate pray to Buddha but nothing happend. It kept on getting worse, I feel like im alone in this world I dont have anyone or anything to strengthen me.
So, I pray to God.
And he answer me by showing a verse, Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” .
As I read the verse, I feel like my burden all my pain everything bad I feel just gone, all I feel is love. I feel love by someone and that is by God.
Untill this day, I life to his grace, i honors him as my saviors and my everything. I never been happier, i know when i messed up God is always forgiving and thats make me avoid sins.
Im glad to find the Father, Jesus and the holy Spirit. Im glad I made my way to my creator, I'll forever love God.
I used to be Catholic and studied at Evangelical Christian school for 6 years.
The thought of eternal life is a joke how can you live eternally while all people will die and perish how can you stay in touch with your friends and family while they will die at all no matter what.
The Buddha has no responsibility whether you will be reborn into animal realm, heavenly realm, hellish realm and gods realm it will base on your last Action for what you have done.
That's why we have our own spiritual growth and we have our own personal decisions and personal responsibility.
And affirming the LGBT people to go to hell for eternity is horrible which is not a religion of love or compassion at all, which is full of hypocrisy double standards.
The worst part is calling those who are not Baptized or who are not Christians to be put in damnation, hell and deserved to be punished. That's not love or compassion while you claim you're religion of love or compassion, that's hypocrisy.
If you do something bad something good you're responsible on it because you choose it you choose that decision.

@supawatmattiwat9487 No thank you I'm tired hearing this compromise I rather stick to Buddhism.
Proudly buddhist
I'm neither a buddhist nor a christian, but buddhism should logically make more sense since it's more of a philosophy that studies our human mind while christianity is a religion or God. Just because it makes more sense shouldn't be a reason you trust something. They are fundamentally different things. One requires understanding and the other requires faith.
Buddhism does not have a personal or willful God, it does not have a God in the Abrahamic or polytheistic sense.
But Buddhism has a kind of natural order that is somewhat like God. It's like Aristotelianism in that Aristotle's God is nothing like a religion and if Christianity didn't like Aristotle so much, it would be said that Aristotelianism doesn't have a God.
Nearly there are 4000 religions in the world unfortunately all of them got historically magnificent things had written books, the oldest religions in the world is hindusm nearly 7000 years history, walmiki wrote Ramayana 4000 more than for thousands years ago, Buddhism is also a old religion, talks about reality, unlike every other man made religions believe explains and reality in Buddhism cannot be
So Buddhism and Christianity are not MECE
MECE ? why not MOCO ? or MICI ? I am personally COCO but hey,..

As someone born in Catholic family and studied at Evangelical Christian school for 6 years. I found the Teaching of Gautama Buddha as truth and it makes more sense. You don't need to die to experience this and that. It's up to everyone to read the Eight Foldpath and to read the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta, because everyone has their own spiritual growth and personal responsibility.
According to Dhammapada "Sabba dhammam dhammadanam jinati" the gift of truth prevails other gifts and truth starts within ourselves.

@elijahcrockett2328 The truth starts within yourself and base on person's conviction without emotion. I find Buddhism as my truth you find Christianity as your truth, that's how it works.

@@Rafah01959guess what buddy Buddhism preaches nearly the same thing besides the whole personal relationship with god thing inner change, love, compassion, responsibility and accountability not very unquie
@@NathanAtkinson-nl3ge Buddhism dosent have God nor His teachings, without God at the center its all pointless and meaningless.
@@Rafah01959How is not having God at the center of makes it "meaningless" yeah because love, compassion, inner change and discipline don't matter at because there is no man in the sky there that is absolutely nonsensical and sad because it shows how empty and void your life is to the point you see no value in any of those because there isn't some unverifiable supernatural force there to tell you that and also what it doesn't "have any of God's teachings" suppose to mean that just a vague qualifier which only work within the context of one's religion
@@NathanAtkinson-nl3ge God is the creator of all, He's at the center of all creation, anything that is good comes from Him, my life isnt void nor meaningless, due to God my life is rather complete, since i have The Lord Jesus Christ as my guide and teacher, the author of life itself, He who existed before existence itself was a thing, the uncreated One, life without God and His promise of eternal life is indeed sad and meaningless for me, the teachings of the buddha might be good, cause i checked and they're all very wise indeed, but they lack God in them. So have it your way, think whatever you wanna think and most of all, God bless you, The Lord may come to your rescue
I used to be Christian but Christian God is too egocentric (kinda childish to be honest). Then I learn Hindu, all the Gods live in harmony but still the path is still rely on external forces to find happiness or enlightenment. @Noelle-zx7hr Christian God is super jealous about other Gods, u only supposed to worship him alone. It is like being the only child, and he becomes an attention seeker. Tantrum n blaming others.. he throws people to hell because they dont believe in him 🤣 wiped the whole humanity with floods 🤣 why? Is that how God fixes problems? By destruction? Oh no.. this is not God's problem, it's from human sin and Evil (satan, devil or whatever). Why blaming others? I thought he was a perfect being. Why did he make mistakes n blamed others?
The God is childish and now the Christians are full of lies..
Everyone knows 25December is not Jesus birthday, but why keep celebrating it on that day? What happened if He come to earth and wtf, thats not when I was born 🤣 Pls tell the truth (I know it's hurts) 🙏 Also now, Christmas day ppl focus on collecting gift from Santa (who is he anyway?🤣) instead of celebrating the birth of Jesus 😂
Being a Hindu we respect Buddha, he is an Avatar of vishnu. He established peace .
very much not an avatar
Buddhism got famous and widespread in India and rivaling upper cast brahmans need to update their vedic religion via mixing various local beliefs and creating new gods in their religion, which includes accepting the Buddha as an avatar of their gods in order to nullify widespread buddhism.

One more thing I would point out on science and Christianity......many of the founding fathers of science were Christians. Basically the backbone of science and Francis Bacon scientific method started with Christians.
That's only because everyone was Christian in Europe at that time. It was practically illegal not to be
Yes they were christians until they discovered science.

Your interpretation of Christianity is wrong and not biblical but the pastors got the Bible wrong too so …
"where are babies coming from? ", asking from a kid. Yet many can't answer this question. Who gave you your body? Can you survive without food? How can do things on your own?
Learn Science for that, it explains how the things works. We can do things alone if we are smart enough, it true that the society is depending with each others actions. But, we can avoid bad things and do good things. For an example, think you were born in a poor family but if you work well you can be rich. Richness (progress/change) doesnt depend on your past or where do you come from, it's your own action. That's how the Karma works according to Buddhism. And remember karma doesnt pass through generations, it depends on your own actions.
And we can't survive without food because we need nutrition to keep our body steady, no body can survive without food.

what is similar?
And this is about far more than simple critcism. There's a huge difference between that, and irrational hatred and ridicule.

Well, Christianity invented modern science and philosophy
Not to put you down, but have a look into eastern philosophies and even western ones dating hundreds of years before Christianity (Buddhist Theravada philosophies, Zen, Stoicism..). Regarding science, it's true that many scientific discoveries were made in Europe in the last 500 years or so as they got richer and supported more scientists, but they're built upon previous knowledge from many other civilizations. As time progress, inventions will continue to come from all parts of the world, it has little to do with faith. Important thing is to recognize the overarching similarities between humans from all countries and strive for the common goal of human happiness.
Well, Christianity killed a lot of people.
and modern Buddhism paved the way for modern psychology
@GreatTrollger modern philosophy? No. Also Christianity didn’t invent anything. Christianity itself is a human inventions. Humans who believed in Christianity furthered modern science.
The main difference between Christianity and Buddhism is that Buddhism isn’t really a religion. Doesn’t give you rules, or make you worship an imaginary diety. It gives you tools for navigating the real world rather than a fake world to navigate.
