It's small but as people are finding out how much of them iis being exploited by not only government but the private sector they're starting to care about what's been happening. You can also get much of those controls (physical and software) remover=d or nullified with the right mechanic but not with the tesla because of just how integrated it is. I'm not saying no one has cracked the car's OS and modified it yet but I've not heard of it happening and I doubt they will. It took several years before someone could crack the OS on teh SONY PlayStation 3 and that's just a game console. I do know one company has been able to provide a single modification that unlocks a performance boost but nothing about cracking the core OS.
@@NeverForget1776but you get updates to your car to make it better and safer. Although that could come at the cost of more data being sent to Tesla. But that also gives you things like sentry mode. Not to mention that Teslas, like Elon or hate him, basically have aced the NHTSA safety tests with the best scores possible.

Cute but I'd never buy a tesla. I don't like the level of control teh manufacturer has over my car that I've paid for and I own.
Fair enough, but that's becoming the norm. Modern cars have all manufacturers with a lot of control.
