- I don’t ’clickbait’ - I simply caption our videos as if it was Rudnik talking and strong on the horse-level sarcasm because I KNOW that’s exactly what he was thinking 😂
(Not that anyone reads the descroptions anyways 😂)
We had so much fun exploring some of the new trails at Rudniks new barn! We didn’t venture very far and already found so many more trails to explore later on!
Rudnik is such an amazing boy, and the fact that I’m able to say we did all of our own training (with a little help at the start from a good friend) - but to reach this level of unbothered when exploring completely new terrain - I could not be more proud of this boy!
It's been decades since I've ridden. At 72 years old, I doubt I'll ever get in the saddle again, but what a treat! Thank you for such a lovely ride! It's clear that you both are well matched. I can see from his head and ear movements, that Rudnik is a happy horsie. he knows he is loved. Thanks again.
Aw thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed coming along with us 🥰
I love how you talk to him the whole time you are with him. I think it comforts him. I enjoyed the ride!!❤
Reminds me of a trainer I had who told me to keep talking or singing to keep from holding my breath. As long as I didn’t hold my breath, he was fine. Wonderful lesson😊
The thing is that he knows there's life inside you. They can smell the change in your skin, breath and know there's a life of some kind around you. Dogs know and any mammal knows, cats etc.❤
we worked on a farm while I was pregnant. They all knew and checked in periodically.
I love the "conversation" you carry on with Rudnick while riding.
This video was such a "gift." It's been a decade since I've ridden so your gopro view had my senses convinced I was right there (I can smell the grass, feel the sun and the sting of getting smacked by some leaves). So thank you! ❤
Aw thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it 🥰
This is actually very relaxing to watch. He is definitely a good boy! A beautiful boy!❤
Rudnick is the quintessential handsome horse. His head is perfect and his coloring is beautiful.
He certainly blossomed into quite a specimen of a Quarter Horse. He’s gorgeous 💜💜💜
Ugh this guy is so handsome his coloring is absolutely stunning,I think all horses are beautiful and unique in their own way but I don’t know there’s just something about a roan that is particularly captivating to me,I wish I could give Rudnik a smooch.💋 He seemed to really love exploring the new spot & those stumps/sticks seemed to be putting away their fangs & claws today 😅(except for a weed that jumped out and tried to take a ride, you don’t know if that butterfly was a zombie one 😁)I love that you’re giving him the choice of where to go he’s so curious about everything. You really do have one gem of an equine thank you for taking us along I know I’m gonna laugh or smile whith every video, you & Mr. Blue brighten my day.🤗🐎💙🖤🍀🌳☀️🌈
I'll take a horse that spooks in place any day of the week.😊
The scenery is beautiful!! You both are going to have so much fun exploring!! Rubio is just gorgeous!! He loves you and watches out for you! I love how he turned to his side when he was tied up at the hitching post to watch you, or maybe he was hoping that the bag of carrots were safe and come back😂❤❤
♥️Rudnik♥️
What a good boy Rudnik is,he is so careful with you,he's absolutely adorable,I wish I could give him a big hug.😊
Has anyone not noticed what a phenomenal rider she is. When she was galloping with Rudnick the filming was barely wobbly. I think that’s a sign of a fantastic rider.
I am not a horse person, but was expecting more bounces.... I am very shocked and pleased... Looks like it was a fun and very enjoyable ride for both of them....
Most modern cameras (IPhone, GoPro, etc.) have image stabilization. That definitely helps with the end result.
What a fun ride! You can tell how much he loves being with you. This new place has so many opportunities for exploring and adventures yet to be had. ❤
He is an absolutely beautiful horse. ❤
Good job Rudnik! Nice gentle ride. You took very good care of “mom.”
I am envious! I am too old for a horse now. I always wanted one so I watch people like you and I am always envious of the relationship you have with Rudnick. Keep up the great work. I loved riding when I was younger!
Your conversation with him is so sweet! What a fun time. This new place is fabulous! Much more terrain
What an enjoyable hack through lovely countryside, thank you Rudnik you are a lovely boy. ❤
As somebody who has only ridden a horse when I had to, it is beautiful to see how you care for Rudnik and how he cares for you
Thank you for taking us with you! Lovely!
Rudnik is such a good boy. Nice trail today. ❤❤❤❤
Loved when you were talking to him and Rudnik had that serious look with grass hanging out of his mouth what a personality he has.
He's so clever. You match perfectly together ❤️
What a beautiful new home for your boy💕💕💕
Thank you! I stopped riding some years ago and miss the contact with the horses and particularly trecking.I really felt I was riding Rudnik...amazing. He was a great ride! 😉
❤ 🐎 ❤ 🐎
His coat at the end….beautiful ❤😊
Long grass, and tall weeds, and stumps, OH MY! 😂😍🥰
Based solely on his ears, it looks like he was having fun!
Thank you. I miss the smells and the rocking of a relaxed horse😊
Love how you talk to him, and especially your laugh and giggle when he
had a spook at the weeds.
He is so beautifully attentive to your voice. You have an amazing and unique bond.
Thank you🥰
Nice ride. Some of it looked similar to the trails at the previous boarding site. He still makes me laugh at the things that spook him versus the things that don’t.
It’s always the most random thing too - then when I think he’s going to launch, doesn’t even flinch 🤣
Aw hes such a good boy and loved how he looked round when you went to get yur water saying wheres my mom gone its lovely when you have a good bond with animal how they look to you for guidance and support. Noticed the nice little dapple coloring on his side.
He wasn’t impressed that I dared to leave him 😂
I love that Rudnik comes to your whistle. Oh boy how I wanted to fill in bubbles above his head at some of your talking with him. Like "you should have seen the insect hiding in that weed, it was humongous" and "but Mom the other day one of those butterfly things flew right on to my booty, I doesn't trust 'em" and/or "of course I know my way back I'm a horse and I know you didn't bring any carrots with us". 😂😂
I could picture him thinking exactly that too 😂
Thank you for bringing us with you on this ride ❤
Everything looks so dry around you, I hope you get rain soon.
It’s been a very hot and dry summer for sure!
You never can tell when a weed is actually a vicious horse murdering monster. He's just protecting you from collateral damage.
He is so attuned to you on the trail, his ears are always cycling round to check on prompts. Definitely zoned in to work for you on that ride.
I love watching his ears moving back and forth,
Listening to me and everything around us. It’s so cute to watch!
Rudnik has a lovely area to exercise...he looked relaxed & sleepy to get his tack on, good job new saddle ❤
Wow! I almost felt like I was riding him. Nice ride Rudnik
This was so pleasnt and relaxing, thank you for the longer video and Virtual Ride on Rudnik!
He did do so well, he's a god boy, and so curious, looking around, the ears flicking like crazy, tho his anxiety about the "Big Scary Weed" was funny, at least he did not actually spook, because, Good Boy!
I was born in BC. Victoria. This was a beautiful ride. ❤❤❤
Beautiful area !
Throughly enjoyed the ride. Its been years since I've ridden and it felt good to be out on the trail again.
We always had "nippers" to cut those pesky branches. Might want to think about that. Makes the trails so much nicer.
Like how he checks both paths. Look both ways😊
Hoping you and Rudnik can pair up with a travel buddy or two. 🐴❤️
Yay my daily dose of Rudnik and you 😁😁😁
Yeah, I’ll find my way home. To my old home with the NICE horses 😅
😂
He was at aware mode throughout the ride. He is very sensitive and maybe has had a bad experience with something spooking him in tall grass before. He love you, abd you love him.
I’ve had him since he was 11 months so I’ve done all his rides and majority of his training (but he’s never been out of my sight during trainings) and so far we’ve never actually had any instances on the trail. He’s surprisingly quite bomb proof over things you’d expect would terrify a horse but the silliest little things (like a tall weed 😂) they just seem to get to him. But even then he’s so quick to recover himself and be ‘oh never mind’ 😂 I just love the head on this boy - he’s so willing and easy going 🥹
Beautiful country to ride. Wow 🥰
Been ages since I’ve ridden and this was wonderful!! Thank you for sharing ~ 🖤
(I read the descriptions lol 😉)
Yep, rabbit, for me. Riding bareback and ended up unconscious on the ground. Took to years to relearn numbers and letters, math and spelling. I was on a horse again six weeks later. Did not do a lot of bareback riding after that. The horse stayed near me; I was out for about six hours. He seemed very concerned. ❤❤
Oh no! I’m sorry that would have been an awful experience! I’m glad you were still able to ride afterwards, I know there can be a lot of fear and trauma around riding after an incident like that. It’s amazing how our horses will know when we need them to stick around though ♥️
❤good ride!
I felt like I was riding, I loved the trail you were on. Please be extra careful ❤️
Greetings from Montreal 😻😸❤😺
Rudnick is such a lovely horse, so sensitive to you and what's around him.
At 5.50 did you see that 'killer weed' attack. Well done Rudnik you protected your mum. 😇
I think Rudnik is very handsome
Beautiful RIDE 🤲 TOGETHER
RUDNIC runs STRONG 😂❤😂❤
AHHhhhh 💧 💧 🚿 & 🥕🥕🥕🥕
👀 like he has a 🐎 🐴 buddie already there by his side😂😂😂😂
Them weeds are terrifulating! I have some in my little back garden!
(Added terrifulating to the Firefox dictionary.)
Well, that was a great ride! Joy S from Northern Indiana
I
I'll bet it was nice riding and hearing the sounds of nature instead of traffic. A very long time ago, some friends and I were riding, and my horse decided to go between 2 trees. She fit; however, my legs didn't. That really hurt. I think I would rather take a branch to the face.
Ouch!! I’m sorry that sounds like it would have been extremely painful !
That's such a lovely place 😊
Beautiful countryside, it reminds me of some areas in southern France. Are Rudnik's flanks slightly dappled? I never noticed it before, but maybe my eyes betray me.
He actually does have some dapples now! They look gorgeous on him too 😍
Good boy walking home, not running❤
Your giggle lolol.....I laughed with you
🥰
You got a million dollar horse for one dollar! ❤️
Sorry, I got mixed up and was thinking of another auction horse that was bought for a dollar. Rudnik is beautiful and brings back some of my best memories riding hunt seat on my horse as a teen. Love your rides!
Just wondering, can you try and meet up with some folks who have been there a bit longer and do a group ride?
That’s the hope! We just have to wait for a time everyone’s schedules align 🙂
Do u know how many acres you have access too?
It’s crown land so a lot 😂 but I’m not sure on exact size. But miles and miles for sure
I was wondering if you ever ride with a western saddle.
If I had one I would but finding one that fits my minuscule budget that’s actually comfy and fits us both is nearly impossible 😂 but I do have a treeless that we use now and then!
What state is this? It's really pretty!
We’re in BC Canada 🙂
Where are you in bc ?
We don’t like to give out our location, so we just say BC, just for safety reasons. Sorry!
in other videos I see the horses and other animals running up to the fence like they are afraid the person will get away. Rudnick just clambers along and eventually makes it to the fence. Is that because he is angry at you because he was subjected to new surroundings, or maybe he is just matured out and doesn't need to run to greet you?
He’s only just started greeting me at the fence - having a horse come up to you willingly at all is a sign they’re happy to see you. Whether they’re walking or running
What a beautiful & sweet boy! (I noticed he may have a tickilish spot on his right side when you were hosing him down haha) what is the spray you sprayed after his bath? Is it a coat conditioner or a horse fly repellant or something? Just curious. Love that you saved him ❤
Fly spray! We can get some nasty horse flys out here so I try to keep him coated well with it through the summer
But Ma. When you weren't here the other horses were mean.
I wonder with his awareness of your pregnancy whether this overrides some of his flee the scarys while riding.
I wonder that sometimes too!
Shouldn’t ur GPS have signal anywhere. Uses satellite doesn’t
My phone is what I use and it doesn’t no, unfortunately. I wish though
@@rudniktheroan ohhh. Ok that makes sense. Beautiful country u were riding. He such a good boy. Looks after you 🥰
Is there a certain time into your pregnancy when the doctor says you should not ride or is that decision completely up to you?
Basically until I feel I’m no longer safe to continue. If I feel my balance is off or it’s becoming too difficult to maintain my strength in the saddle. But 6 months now and still going strong! Just not doing anything crazy
Ok the first branch to the face was an accident. The second one,,,,not so much.
😂
Clickbait. I read your comment saying "you didn't do it to clickbait". Yeah, you did. Good bye.
You clearly didn’t read the description 😂
@@rudniktheroanI thought the “because horses” made it perfectly obvious 😂
Hes quite a handsome guy. Big stocky horse. Fun ride except for him getting not too serious spookies. 🐎🏞️☀️
