hey man, one of the most frighteningly fun cars I've ever owned was a 05' srt-4 acr. And it never took much money to get into the speed. Even after internal engine mods/ turbo/ literally everything under the sun cost me less than 10k back in the day. Egos were shattered when even exotic cars were slain by a "neon"

It's not "free" for everyone, you need comprehensive coverage for them to replace it. You have to pay extra for comprehensive so it's not exactly free.
I have called and tried through my insurance (Progressive) and was told "you don't have that coverage."
It might be free replacement, but it will always affect your
premium.

Not many people carry comprehensive coverage unless they are financing or have a new/newer car. Most people just have liability and personal injury and maybe uninsured.

Very cool. I work for Cummins in R&D and helped develop the calibration (tune) that this truck is running. I got a request for testing one time, the engineer said "It needs a lot of wide open throttle, high RPM, late shifting, etc" I said "Yes sir, I can do that!" These trucks rip, 1000 lb-ft of torque is the real deal!
So beyond happy you went with the Cummins! That Cummins is a straight WORK HORSE

you can adjust the distance that the "auto brake" kicks in. So that way you can stop if from doing that stupid alert for no reason when a car is turning in front of you.
Also, make sure your Sirius connect is turned on and setup. For long trips, it makes it amazing, plus gives you some awesome features you can do with the app on your phone

you can set the distance but even the shortest distance can be very annoying when people cut you off on the highway and your car just slams on the brakes instead of the normal reaction of just letting of the gas and coasting until the gap gets big enough again. I always disable that system in any car I'm driving
Peter Dudas Very true, but when your talking about a dually 3500 crew cab and not a Honda Accord. That distance notification can be the difference between an accident and a momentary "jerk" of the truck. Best to leave it on but set to the shortest distance possible to keep it as a safety net

While they were fixing my JGC diesel, again, I had a 3500 long bed with the standard Cummins and it was the best truck I have ever driven. Even the standard engine just pulls like a train.

no its not it seems to have vents on it to keep the windsheild from fogging
It also houses the rain sensor for the automatic windshield wipers
And auto high beams sensor.
Rain sensor for automatic wipers lives in there too
Adaptive cruise sensor is usually mounted in the front grill, lane keep assist lives in the mirror mount
The mirror mount is where the radar is for the front collision system 🤙🤙

The big part by the mirror, if it's anything like my Charger, has various sensors. Could be rain sensor for the windshield wipers, sensor for automatic high-beams, etc. Could also be that collision avoidance thing.

Yep that’s collision avoidance. It’s nice up here where it snows because it doesn’t get iced over like the grille does. Was driving to Chicago (7 hours) and had no cruise control and constant collision alarms. It’s a really nice change

Yea, your collision system is no longer in the grill. Late 2019 and up now have a smart windshield. (All vechiels) My 2020 3500 ram 🐏 needed a windshield 3 weeks after i bought it and it was $ 1837.62 for the replacement of the new smart windshield. Don't break it cause it ain't cheap my friend. That was the cheapest quote i found in az and 3 surrounding states.
Luckily here in FL we get 1 free windshield a year. Depending on who replaces it you actually can get cash back for letting them do it or a box of steaks!
