For those confused, the block was initially called goal tending meaning Seton Hall was awarded the basket and won the game. But after the review, it was determined the ball wasn’t above the basket meaning it was a clean block and DePaul won.
@@Otto1360No, as long as it had left the Seton Hall player's hand before the clock hit 0.0, the shot would count even if it hit 0.0 before it went in.

Wow!!! Been watching basketball since the 1977, NEVER saw a game end that close ever. Amazing. Congrats to both teams, both players made great plays at the end...but one player's play won the game.
I’ve been paying attention to the Big East for a long time now, DePaul is the laughingstock of this conference. Would’ve been classic DePaul to lose like that, was cheering for them till the very end though. Fun to see a team that hasn’t made the tournament since 2004 do well
@@GoatedAtNFS as an alum of hopefully a former laughingstock of the A10 conference (Fordham), it can definitely happen. Hoping for the best for DePaul gojng forward.
Like a Hollywood movie, the player from Seton Hall literally released the game winning shot with 0.1 left on the clock, only for the DePaul player to block it within an inch of the ball being over the cylinder. You couldn't write this any better.
This was really dramatic and fun to watch. Depaul made several big clutch plays. And Seton Hall choked. Hopefully the rest of the big east tournament is this good.

it sounded like there were a lot more depaul fans there, crazy how seton hall is so close and clearly had a better year and yet they get out crowded by depaul
I've been watching college basketball for years I have never in my time watching D1 a game winning chase down block on a game winner in a major conference basketball tournament If that block somehow motivates The DePaul Blue Demons to go on a run in the Big East tournament that would be amazing
He's smiling because he knew they fouled their best free throw shooter and they might have just lost the game because of it. It's like a "I can't even be mad, this is ridiculous" smile lol
That block was so worth the double take. At first I was like, No way, he goaltended?! And then I realized watching the replay, no that was a clean block and he won the game for his team.
For those wondering why they had to call goaltending on the floor. Officials MUST call goaltending in order to review the play. They can't review it for a no call.

Seton Hall wasnt winning the whole game, wtf? They were losing at half time
Depaul did not steal the game, Seton Hall just had a complete meltdown. Turnover on the courtside and then a 3 shot foul.
This is the craziest ending to a basketball game that I have ever seen.
Easily this game will be debated for a while. Such a close ending.
Portland state vs North Arizona crazier
I mostly agree, but might put it behind Louisville Virginia a few years ago.
Texas AM vs Northern Iowa 2016
Watch the Portland state vs north arizona ending, it's on this channel and is way more insane than this.
I gotta say, in the excitement, I'm impressed the ref on the baseline heard the timeout call at 0:56
