Fun fact: This is the first ever clip I’ve posted on my channel featuring DePaul.
Shows how mid they are
They not mid they trash
Another Fun Fact: Your college basketball postseason highlights are even better than your college football ones. Thank you for the fantastic content..
@@christianlopez5 they’re not mid, they’re really bad
We are trash but onward to Xavier
For those confused, the block was initially called goal tending meaning Seton Hall was awarded the basket and won the game. But after the review, it was determined the ball wasn’t above the basket meaning it was a clean block and DePaul won.
I’m not a big basketball fan but since the clock hit 0.0 seconds wouldn’t it not be counted at all even if there was goaltending?
@@Otto1360No, as long as it had left the Seton Hall player's hand before the clock hit 0.0, the shot would count even if it hit 0.0 before it went in.
@@Otto1360 You'll see in other videos that as long as the player releases the ball before 0.0 the ball is allowed to travel the rest of the shot
@@Otto1360 - that is how it works in hockey, puck must be in the net before clock hits zero. In basketball, the shot must leave the player’s hands before the clock hits zero, and the ball is allowed to travel until it is a basket, or lands, and then the game is over.
Interesting.
Watching this game in person was something else. Seton hall was winning the whole game but than DePaul came back with momentum and stole the game. Beautiful effort from both teams. This is what basketball is supposed to be !
Seton Hall wasnt winning the whole game, wtf? They were losing at half time
Depaul did not steal the game, Seton Hall just had a complete meltdown. Turnover on the courtside and then a 3 shot foul.
This is the craziest ending to a basketball game that I have ever seen.
Easily this game will be debated for a while. Such a close ending.
Portland state vs North Arizona crazier
I mostly agree, but might put it behind Louisville Virginia a few years ago.
Texas AM vs Northern Iowa 2016
Watch the Portland state vs north arizona ending, it's on this channel and is way more insane than this.
March, the month where my work is busiest, but also the month where PSC always pops off
Nice balance.
@@saintbrownthetrojan yep! the exciting videos def make up for the wild work
I gotta say, in the excitement, I'm impressed the ref on the baseline heard the timeout call at 0:56
that 3 pointer from way deep was sick.
It was a crazy ending
Wow...just wow. Can you imagine a National Chsmpionship game decided like that?
In a championship game they wouldnt have blown the whistle at the end to be fair.
@@MackNJacishopper why would they blow the whistle at the end? The end of what?
@@elijahfoster2 They wouldnt have called goaltending
I’ve been paying attention to the Big East for a long time now, DePaul is the laughingstock of this conference. Would’ve been classic DePaul to lose like that, was cheering for them till the very end though. Fun to see a team that hasn’t made the tournament since 2004 do well
every conference has to have a laughingstock or else it wouldn’t be called a conference lol. i just want DePaul to be successful in something tbh
@@GoatedAtNFS as an alum of hopefully a former laughingstock of the A10 conference (Fordham), it can definitely happen. Hoping for the best for DePaul gojng forward.
This was really dramatic and fun to watch. Depaul made several big clutch plays. And Seton Hall choked. Hopefully the rest of the big east tournament is this good.
PSC these other lame channels need to learn from you. Their titles and thumbnails totally spoil the outcome of these types of game situations. You really know how to get it done keep up the good work!
Wow!!! Been watching basketball since the 1977, NEVER saw a game end that close ever. Amazing.
Congrats to both teams, both players made great plays at the end...but one player's play won the game.
I've been watching college basketball for years I have never in my time watching D1 a game winning chase down block on a game winner in a major conference basketball tournament If that block somehow motivates The DePaul Blue Demons to go on a run in the Big East tournament that would be amazing
THIS IS MARCH
I have never seen something like that before. What a game and what an upset
Wowwww what a game and I covered with depaul +4.5 here in Vegas onionsss
What a great basketball game. March Madness at it's finest.
the Big East tournament looks crazy fun. Hope I can watch the tournament in-person someday
I watched this live and I wished more people did because it shows how competitive the conference is. the Big-12 gets all the hype from the media
Yes, but you would’ve had to suffer through 40 minutes of bumbling basketball to get to this wild finish.
Back when WVU was in the Big East, it was a serious basketball conference. So many good teams. The 2010 Big East Championship was a huge moment for us
@@NSHorseheadSD7016-16 Nebraska beat Creighton by 10. The Big Least.
The big 12s floor is much higher than the other conferences. No easy games ever. And playing against the last 2 title game winners.
@@stephen1170 and the Mid 10
I was finna say no way they was gon count that bucket
it sounded like there were a lot more depaul fans there, crazy how seton hall is so close and clearly had a better year and yet they get out crowded by depaul
Like a Hollywood movie, the player from Seton Hall literally released the game winning shot with 0.1 left on the clock, only for the DePaul player to block it within an inch of the ball being over the cylinder.
You couldn't write this any better.
Keep it up, it’s an exciting time!
The Big East is still the heart of college basketball! That game is the epitome of March Madness!
What a crazy ending!
This crowd was fire
Did #15 on Sexton Hall just forget he was playing Basketball @1:36?
I totally missed this. Good catch!
That block was amazing...
Big East is very underrated imo
Always is. They're overshadowed by these conferences who are way overrated in some aspects
I'm a Big 12 fan (ISU), but I primarily watch Big 12 and Big East games. They're just the best
Nebraska 63 Crapton 53.
@@stephen1170 Nebraska is poverty in every sports. I wish because of this, you will gonna be dominated by any B1G team in the tourney
@@ramuelcruzada3207 I wish you'd buy hooked on phonics and learn English.
WHAT A WIN! 🏀🙌🎊🎉Let's Go Blue Demons!💙😈🏀🏀
1:48 He's smiling because he knows this is a really good game. Love how competitive the league is
He's smiling because he knew they fouled their best free throw shooter and they might have just lost the game because of it. It's like a "I can't even be mad, this is ridiculous" smile lol
I have question, when the defender block(touch the ball), the time has already expired, does it still count as a good block?
That block was so worth the double take. At first I was like, No way, he goaltended?! And then I realized watching the replay, no that was a clean block and he won the game for his team.
Amazing outcome
What a block! Literally by inches.
Used to love DePaul when they had Quentin Richardson
What an end!
It was a clean block. Ball was still on its way up, it hadn’t hit the backboard, and it wasn’t in the cylinder.
Whoa!
That’s gold tending
That was pretty crazy.
CLOSE as heck...great call by crew ....
Well, that's a new one!
Was a great game
What's going on with #15 at 1:36
Looks like part of the play for number 2 to use him to free up space
DePaul winning the big east tourney
DePaul coming in clutch
1:42 Gibson was almost killed
March Madness at it's finest
3:23 you can see it’s in the cylinder
DePaul has won 2 of their last 12 games, right now Seton Hall, then Xavier. Now they just have to beat them again
The player who block really knew it was good. He was just calm after it happened not worrying knowing they won the game.
The ball was at the equator and it is literally still a 50/50 call.
Just think if that happened in the national championship game!!!!!
Goaltending
🤯
I was bout to say that is a block
Go DePaul
depaul has the sickest mascot
DePaul!
... reminding me how I almost chose DePaul for grad school, got accepted into their master's for game programming (DePaul is one of the best master's programs in game development in the country) but chose Kennesaw State instead to focus on regular software engineering
Personal biases do favor me being happy whenever Seton hall loses though, lmao
GJ DePaul, go be the Octodad and bugsnax you wish you could be
I knew he blocked it I was like ehhh naahh
no call 0:41
can someone explain the ending to me
DePaul was called for goaltending which gave seton hall the game winning basket. After review they determined it wasn’t goal tending so DePaul won by 1 point
How is Bill Raftery stuck announcing this game?
It’s in the cylinder!
Tim Brando is an idiot
For those wondering why they had to call goaltending on the floor. Officials MUST call goaltending in order to review the play. They can't review it for a no call.
DEPOVERTY WITH THE AMAZING WIN
I thought you were Steven A then I read your middle initial. Depoverty is on to the second round!!!!
Probably should have been some foul calls on 0:37 - really changed the game.
Seton Hall should've burned a timeout on the inbound with 7 seconds left
lol not even close to the clinder
DePaul got LUCK on their side haha
Imagine what Senton Hall fans felt after what happened in the buzzer
To think not so long ago.... They couldn't review and DePaul just goes home
Vegas at its finest again
I guess Kentucky fans is happy seeing Shaheen Holloway lose...
21 thought he was him, but 14 was really him.
Refs were flatout letting them play and assault each other and then had the audacity to call the game-deciding goaltending 🤣
Except that they didn't. They reversed the call.
Clean block, wtf is that
I'm still not 100% sure who actually won lol
The team with the coach who looks like John Chaney.
Wow good ending
BIG LEAST ALWAYS HATED THE HALL
Lost me 300
who can black coached teams beat? other black coached teams
What are these ranks with those records? 😂 Ranked 10th in the division with a 9-22 record? WTFFFFFFF
conference
conference rankings smart one
Conference tournament seedings. You'll see that all over this week.
Up 5 with 30 seconds to go .. Seton hall should be ashamed
Obviously rigged kall a timeout and it was over seton hall coach was all over this game lol hope he enjoy his kut shots wild
That’s what he gets for ditching saint peters lol jk
The seton hall player that pushed the ball and turned it over complete idiot, and no foul call on #2 DePaul diving on player to retrieve the ball.
Shaheen Holloway the luckiest coach in America. Stumbled into a job he didn't deserve bc he played there. Lost to DePaul in the tourney LOL
Good call refs
block
So I never considered this before. The game clock expired AFTER the Seton Hall player shot the ball but BEFORE the DePaul player blocked it. My thinking is it should have been goal tending considering that the block happened after the game clock expired. Thoughts?
exactly, dont know why no one is talking about this?
The time on the clock has absolutely zero to do with whether a block is clean or not. It’s only a goaltend if the player blocked the layup when it was over the rim. Or if the ball hit the backboard first.
Doing a clean block when the ball leaves a shooters hand with .01 seconds or 11 seconds left is still just a clean block.
No, that doesn't matter. In a situation like that, where time expires with a shot in the air, the game doesn't end until the shot does.
The DePaul guy made a clean block and the reversal was correct. Unless the ball is on a downward trajectory or is above the rim, you can legally block the shot.
It should've been goaltending because ball hit backboard
seton hall bailed hard, poverty program
Coach failed big time
Great block, refs got it right...
Old blind announcers.
He wanted to talk that shit at the end but review don’t lie😂
Bro I was gonna say man he blocked the shit outta that and they wanna call an instant goal tend from an angle Thant not even able to see if the ball over the basket… they trying their HARDEST to rig these games but u can’t just lie lmao
