- The college basketball game between Indiana and Iowa had a wild ending as Iowa rallied from an eight point deficit to in the last four minutes to defeat Indiana 80-77. Iowa took a four point lead with a minute left, but Indiana fought back to tie at 77-77 with 30 seconds left after their full court press forced an Iowa turnover. On the final possession, Iowa's Jordan Bohannon banked in a deep three pointer with just one second left to give the Hawkeyes a 80-77 lead. Indiana was unable to score and Iowa won, advancing to the next round of the Big ten Tournament.

I’ve been an Iowa Hawkeyes fan for 50 years and I’ve seen hundreds of exciting finishes in my time but this was the most exciting nail biting game I’ve seen Iowa play since 1987 when Kevin Gamble hit a 3 at the end of the game vs Oklahoma in the NCAA tournament to move on to the elite 8. Awesome game! Go Hawks! 👍🏼

Oh my goodness! Wow! Keagan Murray is pretty good as an all around player who does everything well. But Jordan Bohannon seems to be there clutch player in tough spots. Conner Macaffery is their glue guy who passed him the ball and handled it at the end. I think he's led the country in assist/to ratio a couple times. A really good, deep Iowa team with pieces to do alot. Both Murray bros finish games together as they should in my opinion. Tony Perkins in a good athlete and finisher/driver/defender who can handle it. Joey T and Pat Mac do their roles well too. Best coaching job Fran Mac has done after losing all-timer Garza to NBA last yr and early declare in Weiscamp who got drafted too. Scary tourney team with how they score. A weakness is their starting lineup is not great defensively. J Beo and Rebraca skilled at bball, not great as athletes quickness wise please. Thx!+. Great win, great game. T Jackson-David for Indiana is a beast. Future NBA big. Good defender and finisher rebounder post player. Just needs a little more range on the jumper as last piece please. He should come back next yr for that in my opinion. Indiana definitely should be a NCAa tourney team. Same with Rutgers. Michigan, I think they are 1 of last 4 out.
You do realize Jordan Bohanon is 24 years old and has been playing for Iowa since 2016. He should be doing that. He'll be eligible for social security if he plays another season there.

@@badbeaver2425 You never heard of grad school. Bohannon got 2 extra years- 1 covid and one reinstated due to injury. IE he' started as a freshman in 2016. It is now 2022- That is 6 years. This is not that uncommon these days.

Honestly the fact that Iowa won that is game is incredible. They did not play good basketball throughout and not to mention the questionable refereeing: 1:41-this might have been the most obvious travel I have ever seen and the ref was standing right there. That probably would have put the game away.
Iowa played their butts off . Murray was 8-10 on 3 pt. Field goals ! He never shoots like that . Horrible charging call on Trayce Jackson Davis . Which cost IU 3 points . Hopefully they meet again . IU gets Jordan Geronimo back , they win by 10 .
@@JedStevens1234 Yeah, cause Murray isn’t an efficient offensive player at all. It’s not like he’s one of the leading scorers in the country either. And those 2 charges on Murray weren’t the least bit questionable.
@Billy Badbutt .. Murray is an excellent player . But trust me He hasn’t 8-10 on treys all year . And you got 2 points when TJD accidentally blocked McCaffery’s shot and it went in ! Fouls were pretty even 17-16 .IU outplayed you in every category but 3 pointers . Hopefully we meet you again . I am sure the outcome will not be the same .

Because Bohannon didn’t declare “bank” before releasing his shot, the Big 10 had to overturn the results of the game, and Indiana will play in the championship game.
Indiana was clearly the better team. Iowa hit all those key 3s at all the perfect times. Bohannon has been like that before against Indiana, I remember that game too, at Iowa a couple years ago ? the Big Ten is Loaded.

Way early in the season were still trying to find there true identity as a team in my opinion
IU's three point defense was non-existent, actually guard Murry and Bohannon and Iowa is easy to beat, 9 teams did already.
As a Purdue fan, I enjoyed the ending of this game.

There is an age limit for NCAA Division I and II sports. The NCAA allows a one year grace period after high school graduation for DI and II schools. One year after your high school class graduates is when your eligibility will start to be affected in all sports except for hockey, skiing and tennis. The eligibility clock does not start for hockey players and skiers until after their 21st birthday. Tennis players start losing eligibility 6 months after they graduate high school.
The NCAA gives you 5 years to compete in 4 seasons athletically, with the fifth year being a red-shirt year. A red-shirt year gives athletes the opportunity to sit out a year of competition (for reasons such as injury or competition for playing time) and still be allowed to compete in all four years athletically.
