1980 Final Four squad could have won if Ronnie Lester was healthy. Think Isiah Thomas but 6'2 and 200lbs. Hamstring injuries are usaully a football back or wr nightmare. Lester did play a couple years with the bulls but never seemed to have the explosive moves going to basket. Hawkeyes had 2 chicago catholic players. Both from St. Laurence and 2 pulbic league guys in starting 5. Nice job Lou Henson. Thomas to hoosiers. Agguire and Cummings to depaul.
My favorite Iowa moment is when the AD wakes up and decide to FIRE Fran. All these BS years and nothing in the tournament. ISU has had several coaches in their short career Floyd, Eustache, Hoidbeg, and their current coach and ALL HAVE DONE WELL IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT !!!!!!!!!!!!
