Great video! My stainless steel/cast iron/stainless steel set of pans were purchased in 1967 - and still look and work fabulous, using Bar Keepers Friend all these years. Except for the 1 small pan which caught fire when I fell asleep while melting wax. The pan was rescued by rushing it outside and quickly shoveling dirt in it. Pan cleaned up nice except it left it colored all blue & pink. I will be using your vinegar trick immediately!
@Cleanthatup •LeCruiset?Help was a wedding present to my Mum 1971 both her and my Dad have died 21/22 my son really loves it it's orange ?I don't want to further kill it externally any clues ?
One thing I’ve noticed with my pans is that regularly cleaning the grates on my gas stove means not as much buildup on the pans! Spray Dawn platinum makes that a lot easier.
I’ve used easy off. I used it once to one of my moms pan that she got from the 80s and she asked me where I bought new once since she hasn’t found that exact model since. Lol
I have missed seeing your videos! This was probably one of the most brilliant ones ever. I actually cannot wait to clean all of my pans and bring them back to life.❤😊❤😊
I’ve had great results from a little barkeeper’s friend when my stainless steel doesn’t look quite perfect. Both exterior and interior. Also fantastic for sinks.
I also use barkeeper's friend to clean heat tint, and it gets rid of it a lot faster than vinegar. I don't care about scratches too much, so this works for me!
Great information, Brandon. Can you suggest something to remove the cloudy whitish haze in stainless steel pans left by cooking legumes or plain rice? (Cooking rice even leaves grain imprints in the haze instead of cloudiness.) I've tried scouring it away with "gentle" scrubbers, even soaking in Dawn Power Wash for 10 min first, but no luck. Seems like it has to wear off with repeated uses (that don't involve beans or rice!).
I managed to keep an old deep baking tray my mom would use for turkeys, hams or chickens, and I'll try the vinegar trick to see if that'll remove the discoloration. It's only from the early 90's, so still a very sturdy thick metal pan. 😊
Thanks for the suggestion. When you got to cleaning the bottom of the pans you used a sponge that looked different than the Scrub Daddy. Are you able to drop a link to that? It looked very effective at lifting the grim in combination with the Bar Keepers Friend.

Loved the video! Can you please do a video on how to clean Carote non-stick pans? I have some cream colored pans that have bad staining inside and out. Is BKF safe to use on non-stick pans? Thank you.
Great video as always, my Wisco friend. 😉 Can you do a video on resurrecting non-stick pans? Actually, I don’t know if it’s possible to bring a non-stick pan back from the sticky brink … I “heard” you can simmer with water/baking soda mix but I tried that and it didn’t work.
If I see spots on my pan, I wipe them with a microfiber sprayed with cheap vodka. Then I quickly use the same cloth to wipe any appliance on my counter that might need a touch up. A spray bottle maked "Vodka" in my cleaning supplies does look funny, I have to admit.
Fucking awesome! I've always wanted to know how to clean the bottom surfaces of these pans. My old folks been using Ajax for years. Time to get these surfaces looking like new again. Thank you for the demonstration!
HOw can I remove the water drop marks on glass showers? Tried so many things already and nothing can completely remove the water drops stains... tried half water/vinegar and detergent, tried pure vinegar, tried glass cleaners, removers, and nothing works! As soon as I splash the first water after cleaning all the water marks shows up..... I think I may need a very strong acid to remove those stains.. the only thing left for me to try is car window cleaners....
its great when you explain what causes the stains. not just how to remove them

Didn't know about the heating up the pan tricks, thanks! Time for me to get cleaning.
I keep the inside of my pans pretty clean but the bottoms could use some attention. This video has motivated me to get going on that! Thanks!

I would give Bar Keepers Friend a try for that!
I use cameo instead of barkeepers friend. Does wonders!

Love all your videos thank you for sharing Merry Christmas 🎄
Great video
Brilliant thankyou ☺️
Excellent video, thanks for sharing. Last week I watched your video on how to season a cast-iron skillet. 🍳

Came to comments to ask same question.
It was the red plastic scraper,
Great question! This is a Scour Daddy from Scrub Daddy. Still non-scratch but does an awesome job at lifting grime with the BKF. thanks for watching!
Thank you for your informative video. I’ve learned so so much from you.
Glad it was helpful!😀
you have such a gorgeous lovely smile🥺
does barkeepers more work as well for this or is it recommended to stick to the non-spray version?
So cool

No. But actually yeah, keep making!
Does heating vinegar not create any harmful fumes?
No, I use a vinegar solution to clean the bathroom. Even if you smell it, it doesn’t hurt anyone.
@ Are you heating the vinegar in the bathroom?
@@ThatsTheWayItGoes No, but I’m convinced that it’s harmless.

I like to use Bon Ami rather than BKF because it is food are and works just as well.
Love this, thank you for sharing these tips! Do you ever tackle cookies sheets because mine always get nasty real quick?
Did your loaner appreciate getting a newer pan?

What's your recommendation for cleaning a Blanco sink? I have a stain that is killing me! 😂 Thank you, Brandon!
Instead of vinegar, could you use citric acid?
I just tried this technique with liquid bkf and a scrub mommy....it wasn't so good. I'm going to get the powder kind next.
Baking soda and vinegar the best

I do all this stuff and nothing works. Bar keepers friend does nothing. What an I going wrong?
How do I clean the stainless steel surface of my cooker without scratching it? Also: no American brands please (they're not in my country)
