I agree! I always say his music and us ( Purple Fam) are his legacy. The Purple Fam who experienced him in concert, who bought and enjoyed his music, who are introducing new generations to his music, us! He gave us his all, everything!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts NC💜 I guess we don’t know all the answers and we still have many questions. I really do think that it wasn’t Prince’s intention to leave us without a will and without his life’s work and creativity in place.
He was already in the process of writing his memoirs before his untimely death and he’d recently won the rights to his music.
Prince was surrounded by people he loved.
Josh and Hannah Welton were real family to Prince. They’d recently become parents and Prince was their baby’s God parent. They named their baby Sovereign Prince Welton and they really loved Prince.
There was also his close friend Damaris Lewis and Judith Hill was living at Paisley Park for two years.
Prince was a true pack leader and pack leaders spend their time supporting, protecting and looking after loved ones rather than taking enough care of themselves. At the same time Prince brushed off their concerns and told them not to worry. Prince told everyone he was suffering from flu and Prince was losing a lot of weight over a gradual period of time. I would imagine that Prince was struggling and realised it wasn’t flu. He said he was taking Percocet as a pain medication but I doubt he realised this was laced with Fentanyl.
The upsetting part is we don’t know how or where the medication came from and this has been covered up.
With all of this escalating over a timeline of six months maybe more, Prince always had always coped and survived since he was a child overcoming epilepsy etc. He was incredibly strong minded but also vulnerable because he’d always coped with his vulnerable side alone.
I definitely feel that some of the younger people he surrounded himself with during his later years were his family and he was their fatherly figure.
John Blackwell spoke of Prince before he passed saying “I’m looking forward to jamming with Prince again in heaven”.
I honestly think that Prince would have left his legacy, his music and Paisley Park to his close ones that I’ve mentioned. These people have everything in common with Prince. I would doubt very much that Prince would have wanted the chaos and disorder that’s been ongoing since he passed and he definitely wouldn’t have wanted to have caused so much emotional pain to his much loved ones.
They would have been just great running Paisley Park and Prince knew this.
It is extremely sad that Prince died before he was able to complete his memoirs and when he was already in the process of organising his legacy. I reckon he’d already written a will but I guess this wasn’t found 💔💜 💫🕊️🕊️

I honestly think this is one of the best, most thoughtful and interesting comments I have had on the channel. I have read it a number of times and it's hard disagree with a lot of what you have said. Really important points about his friends around him which doe often get overlooked. Truly want to thank you for this. Really making me think.

I agree, no heirs makes leaving stuff very hard. Its possible as well, he did not anticipate dying so young. Many of us were shocked and honestly thought he was about to live to 80 or 90. Agree about dancing around room. Been listening to lots of him lately and people may find it funny me singing "A Million Days" in public (Subconciously). Also I have been rocking a track called "I go wild" by Jak, a 1980s Prince ripoff and that is catchy, featuring him singing "Yeah, yeah yeah" - you need to listen to it.

It's so true about how he can just lift your day. I think you are right that Prince felt he had more time which was part of the sadness of the his autobiography remaining unfinished. I'm off to check out that track, sounds cool already! 💜

He didn't bother with a will cuz he wanted that 4 his children and he didn't have them. He didn't want 2 leave nothin 2 nobody else. If he wasn't gonna be here 2 run things, what did he care. I believe that was his mindset.
