I have been thinking about this sitting here sipping my coco from my Hit n Run tea mug and sitting comfortably in my Chaos and Disorder gown and my Dirty Mind slippers - lol. I’ve never been a fan of the Estate merch with the exception of the those Crystal symbol necklaces. that came out in conjunction with the 1999 SDE. Some of those t shirts are nice also. I much preferred the vintage merch from back in the day. I still wear my vintage t shirts I purchased at the concerts so I don’t really bother with the Estate stuff. For me it’s the music only going forward.
Jay won’t be buying the 94 East RSD vinyl as I already have a box set & Loring park sessions 77 boot,hardly gets played.I have got 3 hoodies from the estate & they are of excellent quality but living in U.K. there is the hidden import Duties & post costs which add up☹️Got sent a wrong size item but when I posted it back to the USA it cost around £24 so cant be bothered anymore.Rockitpoole in the U.K. I where I go now for merch,got SOTT t shirt for £15 I love it👍check em out.
Good answer, I put a comment up and it disappeared. Basically I will buy the music and Super Deluxes, but no scarves, purple vinyl for 1990s and 1970s albums or any other overpriced gimmick stuff. I won't even import anything as NZ the postage rates are sky toppical and our greedy government charges duties, GST etc.
I think that you both raise such a good point about all the various charges, the total cost of getting an item from the Estate is really pretty steep. I liked a T-Shirt a while back and with all the charges it was becoming a crazy price for just a T-shirt. Unfortunately RockitPoole aren't getting as much merchandise as they would like from the Estate and hopefully the Estate will embrace Hubs all around the world so items can be sent out locally reducing costs as Prince has fans across the globe 💜
I like some of the merch, I just wish their 20% off storewide would last longer. And they need 2 go on with that free shipping with $ 75 purchase lie. It has 2 many exclusions.
