Hell yeah! I haven't even watched it but I know it's going to be awesome. I've been waiting on this one 👌🏻🙌🏻. Looks like imma stay up lol. It's midnight right now here in Texas.
Thank you! I appreciate the anticipation and support! This one was tough! Corrupt video files, lost audio, and a bunch of digital headaches so please let me know if you have any questions on the video. Thanks again! Casey
Looks great. At 2:35 you mentioned you added 3/4" plywood strips to the too for the tracks you installed to hold the saw. But when you show the front of the top with saw mounted, I don't see any added height. How were they added? Thanks
This is really a nice build quick and to the point! And I appreciate that you respond to your viewers. I am looking to build a new miter saw station and I like your ideas. 😁🛫
Great Job. The use of coach bolts as locating lugs Is different and robust and I would imagine allows for adjustment. A tip for Aussie viewers..Instead of using black melamine Bunnings has various sizes of black structural ply for concrete formwork that would be stronger and most likely cheaper. Great video. Really like the way you put it together.
you did an EXCELLENT job and have given me a ton of ideas, lol…i love how you stick to one platform when it comes to your tools…can’t beat the lifetime warranty on the Ridgid tools and Kreg tools are game changers…
Can you tell me the final height from floor to finish grade of the cutting station? I have the exact same miter saw as you so it will be helpful info! Thanks, and great build!
I just bought my miter saw and I believe it's the same one you have in this video. At first, I couldn't figure out why you built that black melamine deck on either side of your saw, then I figured it out. You took the manufacturer's deck off of the saw, but I'm curious why you did that. My theory is your design will give you full access to all 70º of miter in either direction without having to open the deck as you do with the manufacturer’s design, and in this way, you also maintain a full deck from front to back, as opening the manufacturer’s deck shortens it from front to back. Is that basically it? I'm asking because, right now I'm in the design stage of building my cart, and yours looks almost like what I'm trying to build. And my measurements with the 2 wings open for a full 70º cut means the width of the main cabinet will need to be approximately 42". I’m considering purchasing your instructions and possibly the Kreg base. Thank you.
Where did you get that black melamine panel ? Have to special order somewhere? I looked at lowes and home depot and only thing i found similar was a 4x8 white melamine particle board from HD ...
I get mine at Menards but I know that I can also order it at my Home Depot. You can always buy black or colored Formica and make your own. I just did it for some sleds.
Enjoyed the video. I would like to drop the bottom cross rails as well, but you did not show how you did it. The holes to the cross rails do not match the holes for the leg inserts. It looks like you maintained the holes on the rails and must have drilled holes for in the legs. This would have necessitated drilling holes in the leg/foot insert. Confused. Can you share how you did this?
Hey there! Sorry I didn’t show it. It was a late night “what if I do this” moment. I simple moved the rails down, marked the holes with a Sharpie marker, and drilled the center of that mark. I then mounted everything the same way but kept the door mount bracket there as well.
Can i ask if you used the Top piece as in your cut list? as you go on to the melamine after. Didn't know if you used it for extra strength. Also have you made this that the station has to be away from the wall when you push the saw forward? I.E. the slide rail sits over the back of the station.
My initial bench had the dog hole top but then I swapped it to melamine later. Good eye. Yes the back of the saw sticks out so you have to pull this away from the wall for straight cut access. This saw was huge! I now have a new RIDGID Cruzer style slider. Fits right against the wall with no issues.
Yes you just have to accommodate the swing of the back of the saw. I thought about making a hood on my wall that I just nest the table into for collection as it sits in that spot most of the time anyway.
Hmmm good question. Not really. Everything still flows and works well. My biggest issue is small shop congestion and having to move a bunch of stuff to put the wings up etc. other than that nothing comes to mind when o think about it. Thanks!
Hey Austin. Email me at creevesmakes@gmail.com and I can share what I did exactly. It was a quick decision and the film footage was not clear enough as to what I was doing as I was in front of the shot too long.

That T Track idea to hold your saw to the table is genius!
Thanks! I wanted something “tuneable” and repeatable without stripping wood out. 👍🏻
Adding it to my list of projects. Love it , nice work
Your narrated video makes for an easy-to-follow-along presentation. Superior work!! Thank you.
Wow, thank you! Glad that you liked it!
Very nice work. The Kreg benches are not inexpensive but I may build something similar using a similar system. Great video.
This is the best mobile miter station build I've seen so far.
Thank you very much Jose! Oh

I mean probably the best mobile miter station out there. I wish I had the time to build something like that
Hey thank you very much Aaron! I really appreciate that.

Thanks and please feel free if you have any questions along the way! Always happy to help

Thank you very much! Wish I could get black plywood! 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks for commenting and for watching! Good luck with your builds and have fun!
Great station, you definitely inspired me to finally make one for mine.
Happy to help! Thanks for watching!
Wow that’s so nice
Great job - very nicely done.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
Wow sick
Looks great!!!!!!
Thanks John! 👍🏻
Very cool
Thank you!

Hey sorry for the delay. It’s 39.5” to the deck of the saw.

Overall, how much did this cost?

That's fantastic thank you. I am just building mine so will post once done. Thanks again for a great video.
Do you think this could be modified to add a dust collection hood? Maybe even get the 28” deep Kreg bench for more room to add it?
Yes you just have to accommodate the swing of the back of the saw. I thought about making a hood on my wall that I just nest the table into for collection as it sits in that spot most of the time anyway.
First!!! great video once again.. thanks for the upload
Thank you very much Duy! I appreciate the support as always! Casey
so it has been a year since you've built this. Do you still like it? Would you change anything?
Hmmm good question. Not really. Everything still flows and works well. My biggest issue is small shop congestion and having to move a bunch of stuff to put the wings up etc. other than that nothing comes to mind when o think about it. Thanks!
@@CReevesMakes Thanks! Great project. I'm looking at something similar.
How did you mount the casters? It looks like you didn’t use the leg piece?
I used the leg piece but I had to drill new holes move the lower aprons down that far.
So did you mount the legs and frame supports using the same holes? Do you have to have any pictures ?
Hey Austin. Email me at creevesmakes@gmail.com and I can share what I did exactly. It was a quick decision and the film footage was not clear enough as to what I was doing as I was in front of the shot too long.
@@CReevesMakes email sent! Thank you.
What is the Keegan bench model if I nay ask…
It’s the 20”x44” universal workbench.
wow
Thanks 🙏🏻
Looks great. Nice work.
Thanks!
How did you mount the casters? It looks like you didn’t use the adjustable legs
