As you were making the hood for the miter saw and noticed the slot behind it I immediately thought of using a 2mm rubber strip with a slot cut into so the arm could move freely. But you used felt which works too. Great job!!
fantastic job, you are very creative adn talented making your pocket hole machine and other useful items for the shop, keep it up the great work and good health to you and your family
Yes, an interesting design. However, I foresee problems - it's the use of MDF. It does not hold a screw at all well, neither does it resist constant movement. If I were to build this, then I would without doubt do so in plywood.
This is not mdf but material call hmr (search with hmr material keywoord for detail) the problem the wings to heavy if use hmr😁 but really flat and durable
@@plywoodworking Thank you for the reply. I took your advice and found out that HMR is High Moisture Resistant board. This makes it excellent for use in humid environments like bathrooms. However, it is still rather like MDF to work with. I was thinking of checking the specifications of HDF board which can also be manufactured as a moisture resistant product - then known as MRHDF. I imagine that High Density Fibreboard will have much better mechanical properties, but I've no idea what it costs compared to plywood.
Yup you right look like mdf but hmr more hard than mdf, if use hdf very expensive 😁, in my country difficult get birch plywood or good quality plywood that why i use hmr coz i need flaten
you make a lot of very good projects, but please stop using "the ultimate" in your titles, no matter how good a project is, nobody in the world has made "the ultimate" anything, ever, there's always better out there, but please keep showing what you can do,

Your pocket holes distance is too close to the edge they won't provide stability especially you are using MDF, overall good project
Thanm you very much, maybe i can setup the measure tape. This is not mdf but hmr thst different
