- My buddy John introduced me to Eduard who is a co-founder of Bark4Compassion. After hearing a little about his mission to rescue animals from kill shelters and fly them to their new adoptive families, I knew I wanted to help. I gave Eduard my number and soon he reached out to me to help with Brownie and Ranger. They are two sweet labs that were abandoned in Texas and scheduled to be put to sleep if we couldn't get them to Chicago where a family wanted to adopt them. He put me in touch with the Pilots n Paws coordinator and I was able to fly the final segment from St Louis to Chicago.

Kevin, what a great cause, very proud of you for your participation. Pilots love any reason to fly and a worthwhile cause is even better. We are shelter adopters for this very reason.

There is a special place in heaven for guys like you Kevin. Nicely done and the dogs were so well behaved. Dogs that get rescued seem to understand they are getting a better place and they seem so grateful. I know Jamie would have fallen in love instantly. Probably best she wasn't along.

Kevin, I am the one who contacted you last year about doing a Pilots N Paws flight. I am glad to see you have finally done it. It is a win win for everybody. We have had many flights from Pilots N Paws pilots fly in dogs to Dixon, Il (Walgreen Field) and Rochelle, IL , Koritz Field (RPJ) for our rescue. We actually had quite a few Dobermans flown in to us from Jon W. the co-founder of Pilots N Paws many years ago. I encourage all pilots out there to look into making Pilots N Paws flights. We’ve had the v1.4 software upgrade in our V35B, N3822U, STEC-3100 autopilot for about 60 days. It truly is awesome and really pretty amazing that that technology is available for a single engine, general aviation airplane. Pretty slick upgrade from the old Narco 12’s, with no autopilot, I flew with back in the early sixties, huh?
