I would update the 11’s but there would be 3 versions for it to choose from. 1. Alpha version (inspired by the Air Jordan Alpha 1): - Replace mesh and leather upper with flyknit (much like the gt hustle 3’s flyknit) - Replace the patent leather with flyweave - Full length Zoom strobel/zoom x midsole for the cushion 2. Protro version: - engineered mesh/sphere lining for breathability and a quicker break-in - full length zoom air/react midsole 3. Retro+ Version: - Premium leather and flyweave upper - High end, shiny Italian patina leather replacing the patent leather - full length air strobel/cushlon midsole

Everything about this shoe seems made for me personally. Gum rubber, Flyknit (finally!!), double stacked zoom.. subtle blue+orange cw.. it's perfect! But sorry Nike.. $250 or whatever in Canada is a non-starter.
Jordan 5 but wide lasted forefoot yet narrow lasted heel, no upper material changes, remove visible window on midsole, zoomx core inside reactx midsole with full length zoom strubel instead but keep every other visual of the midsole identical. Can't lose the fighter plane teeth. Outsole design unchanged but gum rubber instead of clear. Perfect.
I got these after a massive disappointment with the ae 1 and they’re the best shoes I’ve ever played with! I’m coming out of a knee and lower back injury and so the recovery, support and impact protection they give me is insane. Super snug and comfortable. Win win!
I love these and bought in the pink purple colorway as well! I'm a point and scoring guard, 5-6 hoop leagues. The cushioning is amazing , and the fit is snug like I enjoy. I typically rotate betwen all of my hoop shoes, from Kobe to GTs, Lebron, etc. These are my regulars now and I'm not switching for a while‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
I copped me and will play in them for the first time on Sunday🤞🏻. Dope review as always! And yeah, I’d probably update tech in 4’a or 6’s with zoom air, visible zoom in the heel. I’d love to premium leathers. Modernize the foam. It’d be dope to play in super stylish retros with modern tech!🔥🔥🔥
QOTD: 7s, updated with modern cushioning. They're so pretty and so underrated, with LOTS of killer colorways. From my playing days, I really enjoyed the "elevated running shoe" feel. My favorite shoe that I played in was the Air Jet Flight. Steve Nash wore them for a time, although I don't think it was necessarily a signature model. They weren't too minimal, but flexible and stable. If i was still playing I'd give these a go. Thanks for the review! Here's my comment and up there is my like.
If could pick your favorite: traction, upper, cushion, fit/weight, support features from five different shoes, and then have them made into one perfect hybrid, what shoes would you take each of those from? What would you call it?
Hustle 3: Reminded me of the flyknit 2017 hyperdunks and the kd 8 cushion. Just to much in the forefoot, hard stops felt uncomfortable, as Chris said not for everyone, wish they had of distributed the cushion throughout the shoe instead of the heavy area of the forefoot. Jordan 11- full length zoom strobel, with the carbon fiber plate, change the quick lace to the lace style seen in the uptempo 96 with the last one a hole so it actually can hold when tied. Lower the cut just a tad, add in Achilles pillows.

The Hustle 2 to me is the coolest modern-basketball-shoe for casual wear; frickin' love its full-length Zoom and Talaria-looks. These don't do it for me, but then again I don't play ball.
add a full length zoom stroble unit to the j34, replace the small zoom unit in the heel with a high volume one, the one in the lbj21/gt jump 1. or add a full length zoom stroble unit to the 29s plus a large volume zoom unit in the heel. but for an og, p.u. insole for the 13s, full length zoom stroble, zoom turbo in the forefoot. large volume heel zoom unit. cushlon midsole. ❤
Great review! Played in them twice (indoor). Great traction. Definitely a lot of cushion that takes getting used to but overall feels good after a lil breaking in. I agree could’ve been perfect if it was lowered a bit. Just hoping they last for the price 😅
Personally, the 3s are my all time favorite Jordans so if I had free rein on one shoe I’d also do what you’d do with the 4s, but on the 3s. Either that or I’d just slap a full length air strobel unit in the Jordan 11s. Those already have a full length air unit so converting that to a full air strobel unit I think would be the perfect modernized protro take on them and would instantly elevate their comfort and performance. Not saying the 11s as it is don’t hold up comfort or performance wise (cause they do, and actually are better than plenty of modern basketball shoes) just that it will be that much more comfortable and modern performance ready.
I WOULD GO UP A HALF SIZE I’m an 11.5 and I go true to size on every Nike basketball shoe with the exception of the PG line. My toes jammed against the edge and I had to send them back. I tried wearing them and walking in them so my feet could get used to them, but it was so uncomfortable I decided to send them back. Cushion is 10/10 but like Nightwing, I also prefer to be a little lower to the ground.
I appreciate Nike at least going all in with the tech in this shoe, now they just have to make them better performers. Too many of their shoes now are just bare bones
Me personally, I take the Air Jordan XXI(Especially the Italian Red colorway), and find a way to make them breathable. Beautiful shoe, but absolutely no ventilation.

Thanks for the review, Chris and Jody 😎 The shoe gives me LeBron 17 feel for upper and visible zoom pods (good) a bit of GT Jump 2 taste on rear for foam and potential stability issues (bad), thus I'll skip it overall 😜
It needs a plate for stability and the upper for basketball should not be knit. This makes them reserved for casual and occasional pickup games that spring up at the gym.
Fixing the traction/rubber compound on the 31s would make them a damn near perfect shoe. Everything about those was awesome except the terribly inconsistent and borderline dangerous traction.
great review, might be a better running shoe if they changed the outsole rubber to a more durable one. maybe the j4, change the midsole to a better foam that does not crumble like cake.

Bought them in my usual size. Half a size smaller in length and at least a couple of sizes too small in width. The tongue almost goes out of the shoe when I put them on and I am unable to tie them, because there is not enough lace length, so I have to undo the last eyelets. My big toes go numb after 10 min. just staying in them. And have in mind my feet are very narrow. Hope Chris is right about the knit eventually loosening.

Full length zoom in the Jordan 11 ASAP 😂 and mayyyybe update the midsole to a slightly firmer react “not visibly with the design” just the material but it would look exactly the same as the original.
I feel like the GT hustle 2 was a fluke for the line. It felt like they just pushed the model out without much design work or testing just so they could even out the release dates of the 3 GT models. These definitely give me vibes from the GT Run, but just way more premium and polished.

Protro the 11’s. Full length zoom strobel it.
Air Jordan 2 with flyknit upper and full zoom strobel housed in cushlon, and isoplate maybe
Full length zoom in the Jordan 11 ASAP 😂 and mayyyybe update the midsole to a slightly firmer react “not visibly with the design” just the material but it would look exactly the same as the original.
I'll try this shoe out!
Intriguing shoe. I wonder how popular it will be in college and pro leagues.
I would take the Air Jordan 1s and merge with the bottoms of the Book 1 so it can be a protro
Hmmm where’s the way of wade 11 performace review?
I agree that this shoe seems to be more of a follow-up to the Zoom BB NXT. Good shoe but not very stable.
I like the colorway.
Best shoe I owned
I feel like the GT hustle 2 was a fluke for the line. It felt like they just pushed the model out without much design work or testing just so they could even out the release dates of the 3 GT models. These definitely give me vibes from the GT Run, but just way more premium and polished.
The outsole & zoom placement reminds me of the lebron 17 for some reason.
CW is reminescent of the Uncle Drew Kyrie 4s.
