    You are brilliant! My selvedges have definitely improved with practice but I do sometimes get a ‘frowny’ fell line when my warp threads at the edges are a little loose. I’ve never thought of slipping a kitchen roll pad onto the back beam - thank you! I will try it!! I love your videos - thank you😊

      Thank you! 😁 I really hope this helps you! There shouldn't be any frowns while weaving 😂 especially on the weaver!

    Excellent tips. Thank you. I also find my left hand is normally good but my right hand the selvedge scan be wonky. Soi am going to try to have start and finish in a slop. Excellent advice.

      Thank you!! I hope this could help 😊 Just to make sure, it's better to have the threads in the holes at the selvedges, and not in the slots 😄 maybe my explanation in my video wasn't clear

    I’d like to know about when and how to use a floating selvedge and using fishing line alongside the edge thread. Thank you

    • @Curly_n_Yarny
      @Curly_n_Yarny  2 года назад +1

      Hi! I don't use floating selvedges when weaving on my rigid heddle loom since that they are not useful when weaving plain weave.
      The fishing line is something you can add in order to help achieving neater selvedges. It can be added to your project on a rigid heddle loom! I have personally never tried it. But I know that Kelly Cassanova has a good video on the subject.
      I hope this helps 😊

    👍 How would I proceed to finish a weaving project so that the top and bottom look like the selvedges - with no fringes? Thanks in advance! 😊

    • @Curly_n_Yarny
      @Curly_n_Yarny  Год назад +2

      Well, that would depend of the project. It's possible to simply sew your ends. It's also possible to weave your fringes into the project. Kelly Cassanova recently made a tutorial about this technic, if you want to check it out 😊
