Two things to add to the melee attack of the bow that make it much more viable: 1. It adds whatever coating you have on your arrows without using up one. So if you have sleep coating, you can put the monster to sleep with your melee attacks and it doesn't take up the coatings 2. It does slashing damage, which can be used to cut tails. Useful if you are soloing and need to cut a tail
Joel Reyes not anymore in my opinion, with the addition of the charge blade (seriously, blocking attacks, dealing butloads of damage AND K.Owing monsters?) and the glaive ( oh dont mind me, im just glowing gold, unleashing all manners of hell, healing myself and mounting for days).
While I admit the other weapons are good and have better damage (glaive being op from personal experience). I still think out of all the ranged weapons the bow is the most practical of the bunch. In my opinion if you plan to go range the bow is the best option. The charge blade is also great but on faster monsters it's a little harder to land the full powered axe combo you'll most likely land it 2 or 3 times when the monster is knocked down. I personally use the glaive switch axe and charge blade and still show love for my bows since I played them since MHFU.
Joel Reyes Its all a matter of preference. If I want to use ranged for solo or double play I will use a bow (end up taking way less damage than blade master at the cost of a few minutes longer hunting), but I prefer heavy bowgun in groups of 3 or more. Insect glaive is strong but far from OP some monsters are a bit more challenging than others to gather your buffs from, I can take things down with a great sword much quicker. However (probably because its new and shiny) I still end up using insect glaive quite a bit in solo play.
Sorry if it is contained in the comments below and I've missed it, but it might be worth mentioning with a coating applied that pressing A to do the swipe attack with still have the status effect of the coating applied without using any of the coating (i.e. Paint coating applied, you can hit the monster, successfully paint ball the monster without using up any of the phials). Not greatly important, but useful nonetheless. Other than that, love the videos, very helpful!
MH4U is such a legend in the history of MH. It is probably the best Monster Hunter ever. I hope the nintendo network conection will be avible for long time
As a team focused bow user i have to add that the most important type of bow coating is sleep coating. When a monster asleep he takes a huge bonus damage From the next hit he takes! if you have a team mate with a great sword you can tell him to charge atack for the bonus damage, or you can simply get your team to spam large bombs.Second most important is paralizys, same deal as sleeping only the bonus is not so great, but everyone can atack in a frenzy speacialy good to chop of a tail or break a given part of the target. Now for damage dealing! Poison will do a ton of damage passivaly after a few hits, combining poison with power shots is key for optimal dps. In cases monster are resistant to poison bows lose alot of their potential dps. Bows are great for a support row, but if you plan to solo or deal more dmg its beter to use a gun with plenty of explosive type shots and capability of full auto elemental shots, sleep shots will still be important in this case two. For a begginer bow user this tutorial is good, but has some wrong priorities!Since you can use a bow that does not have a power shot! but you should not use one that does not have at least 2 of the 3 effects: paralizys, sleep and poison.
I actually like type 2. Let's me still move and turn my camera while readying my shot. Was weird at first. But after a few hours of it. I got super use to it.
This video was awesome thanks for putting it up ended up working really well with generations tho I did keep the R button to attack its a little awkward at first but once you get used to it its way better i feel
I don't see too many bow users online. I'd like to use one but ah remaking gear again being that I'm still low level and lazy, eh. Seems more beneficial as using healing shots could help a group but most groups I find own every monster we meet. But again, I'm low level so it's not hard to pull and easy win.
I'm looking forward to your tutorials. I've watched quite a few let's plays of MH3U so I have an idea of game mechanics but MH4U will be the first one I actually play myself. So I'll most likely need all the tips I can get :)
You don't necessarily need to have Power coatings on all bow set ups. what i love about the bow is its HIGH ELEMENTAL damage, you can get a way with alot of set ups without having to rely on power coatings, combine that with statuses.. well yea
Hey there Arekkz, looking for some input from you or anyone else who cares to take a moment. I'm a new player to the MH series and will debute in MH4U, I'v got a few mates that will also join in so that we'll get a 4 man party (hype!) So onto the theory crafting: I plan to go ranged seeing as the other folks in my party will go melee and it seems as though a cluster of people can become a burden to the group as a whole. Choise 1 made. Then there was the option of the 3 weapons. Reading up on the wiki, the very first sentence, says this about the bow: "Although it is very versatile and has a wide range of options, it is not the weapon of choice for an amateur but rather a weapon of choice for a skilled hunter." This scares me as a beginner. Since you recommend starting with the bow, if planing to begin a career in the ranged field, in the video above, to say I'm confused is an understatement. Help me clear a few things out pretty please?
Sure! I think personally, one of the main reasons sites say the Bow is hard to master is because getting that distance right is so important. If you are new to it, and you stand further away then you're missing your critical distance. The reason I say it's good is because, if you come from melee weapons, then the bow is somewhat more of a natural progression than a bowgun, simply because, depending on the bow, sometimes you won't be too far out of melee range. Personally, I'd not worry about it being "more for skilled hunters" and just pick it up and try it - that's how all players found the weapons they liked, just play with it and see if it works for you - if it doesn't, you can find an alternative :)
Yrriah ^ Yea from someone who has done the transition from melee to range, Bow are the easiest to pick up and get down, because of how mobile you cna be with them and how you only need to worry about "coatings" and range. The light Bowgun is the next step of difficulty but still relatively easy to pick up too, then there the Heavy Bowgun which is harder to master and my weapon of choice out of the three ranged. :)
Rogue Cheney So... I ain't touching the heavy xD got it! ;P Anyways, a thought pop'ed up, isn't the troubles of hitting the "critical range" the same no matter which range option you choose? As in: Shouldn't the light bowgun be the easiest of the 3 since it also shares the same trouble (of hitting the right spot) but does not have to think about coatings? As Arekkz said, I'll just have to try the options out!
Yrriah It all comes down to skill level, Bows are like the sword and shield of the range weapons, they do lowish damage but can be very helpful in a hunt because of being able to put statis effects on mosnter faster, light and heavy bow guns don't really have crit range unless they change it. As for heavy and light bowguns, it really comes down to what you skill level is and which one you like more. Heavy is alot slower and harder to master but it also does the most damage and carrys the most bullets, it also has turret mode which makes it even stronger, light is usally the starter to get into using bowgun but alot of people stick with it because of it mobility but it also does the least amount of damage.
I got into bows thanks to this tutorial and I am super happy being a ranged hunter, but I have a question. When using the "Scylla-Fist I" the sleep coating is highlighted in green where other coatings are just their standard color. What does that mean?
Excellent video! I played a lot of bow in mh3u so this is bringing back a lot of fond memories but I don't remember that hop-special, is it a new thing for mh4u?. I'm assuming you have been playing an imported version seeing as its only just had a western release yesterday and you have so much info about the game already. Thanks, keep up the good work.
I find the Type 2 a lot more usefull since when you are charging with R, you can use the camera on the right of the touchpad with your thumb to do precise shots when needed.
I recently discovered this alternate control setting. It allows me to aim with my circle pad pro instead of the d pad and then I just face the monster and it hits precisely where I was aiming. So much better than using the x button which keeps you from using the right analog stick!
Which do you recommend? Arc or Power shot? I never tried Power shot bow before. Coincidentally, all the bows I liked based on affinity/slots/coating are all Arc shot bows. I've experienced all three different variants of the Arc shot and I'd like to add here that the Blast variant is sometimes shunned upon if you're hunting with others. I can blast them off their feet and screw a good opportunity for them to dish damage to trapped monsters. I'd personally recommend Power shot bows for beginners. Also, bows fit well with sleep-bombing builds.
Claire If I was looking for damage, I'd pick LBG over Bow, a slight decrease in mobility over great options for damage. I think Bow is more like a support weapon, so I only use it for elemental/ailment approach (spread shot comes in handy here.)
***** I have no doubt, Bow is actually more tactical than raw pure dmg. Bow shines best when playing with other hunters. As for solo, I'd always pick CB or IG over ranged.
Just so you know, you don't actually need to charge for the ark shot anymore. It basically goes right in front of you, but it can be used without charging.
If you judge your bows by whether or not they have power coatings, you did not get it's main point... USE YOUR GODDAMN STATUSES! don't expect to be doing huge damage
Bows can still do quite a bit of damage, and if you want to solo with the bow then you are going to need power coatings. Status coatings are definitely the way to go online, however.
***** close range coatings arent bad either, particularly with spread shots. and sleep coatings paired with barrel bomb L is very effective damage dealing
well not entirely true. charging up the bow CAN create stronger shots but it doesn't have to. I've startet a new safe recently to approach bows from scratch and encountered a couple bows that simply leave you with a choice upon charging. For example *first charge-spread2 *second charge-speed2 basicly close or ranged. or my latest recovery gora malaga bow *first charge-pierce2 *second charge-spread3 charging the bow doesn't automaticly result in better dps but strongly depends on the bow you use and ends up beein a tactical choice most of the time. choosing your shots upon the situation is the one way to mastering it.
+CoolD Doesn't matter what type of shot you're getting, there's a damage multiplier based on the level of charge. So in your first case you win more by getting into position for the later one, than shotting the first because you're too close . So nop, mastering it is being able to be in the best position, always, or getting to it while charging. That's how you have the best dps. You don't chose your shot based on your position, you take your position based on your best shot.
bow charges dont work the same as great sword charges. yes, they are in general more powerful than not charging, but this is not always the case. when you look at the stat pages for each individual bow it shows the shot type for each level of charge which varies from bow to bow. in some cases a later charge level will fire the same type of shot as an earlier charge. so what type of shot shot you want to fire (rapid, pierce, spread) dictates how much you want to charge it, for example the Podwing Bow Unibeetle charges go P3, P2, R4, S4 (according to the wiki) in this case it would be more advantageous to fire the bow without charging it to get the level one pierce 3 charge than to wait for the pierce 2 charge, particularly against a long monster. though rapid or scatter 4 can be more worth it depending on the circumstance at hand also if i remember correctly, wide and focus type arc shots can inflict ko damage if they strike the head
that's both right and wrong, generally higher level charges inflict more hits, but their damage is based on the tier of the charge. A pierce 3 charge 1 does 4 hits at 50% damage, but a pierce 2 of charge would do 3 hits at 75% damage and generally be doing more damage. (not exact numbers, but the principal applies.)
thanks for the video, I always played as a CB but when I playw ith my friends we had noone with a ranged weapon so I decided to pick up the Bow. And thanks to this vid i finally understood how to use it properly :D
+Geared Cookies It's really not that bad. Since you're starting with it you'll need practice to get attuned to it but after that it's easy pickings. Gotta say though the bow special is a great feature. If I could make it to HR9 in MHFU with a bow, you should be just fine.
Would be cool my orcus sagittus (Zinogre) could do that change :P Question, the bow i'm using, on the third charge shot it says Pierce. Do i have to be in a certain range for it to do maximum damage?
TygeneFox12 That's correct; there is a certain distance from the enemy called "critical distance" where the screen will shake upon impact. That would be the distance you want to be to do maximum damage. :) That distance will depend on various factors, but generally it's about 2-3 hops away for Pierce.
I noticed that the C. Range coating had an green bar over its name. does that have any effect on the arrow, like how the bowguns would have special shots that they could rapid fire or crouch fire? I'd love to know, if anybody else does. Thanks for the advice.
+Cedric Jenkins Thanks. I new the coatings got a boost, but I didn't know how so. I thought the coating got a raw damage boost, or something like that, but I just wanted to check.
i like those tutorial. but on 4:40 isnt the "calculation" wrong? your example: a normal hunt takes 20minutes and on another hunt i do 50% more dmg its not a 10 minute hunt (that would be a dmg increase from 100 to 200% (a 100% increase)) it would be a ~13min-13.5min hunt. (basetime/modifier--> here: 20/1.5 =13min20sec)
I have one uestion tho, why does your bow only needs like 1 blink (charge) to be able to shoot a lvl 3 charge? Did i miss the explanation in the video or? When i charge my bow it takes me 2 blinks to fully charge it (only have a low lvl bow atm)
I've played almost all my hunter life with a certain type of weapon. Just recently I tried out the bow and it is really much fun! But I have a question: I noticed that almost the only way I can hit a monster is when it is on the same level as me (not lower or higher). Of course you can aim but I really suck on that. Is the only option to pull the monster on your level or am I forgetting something?
I have a question I can't find the answer to. Is using the arrow volley stronger or weaker than standing at optimal range and firing a three charge shot? I use volley more often but I think I shouldn't be.
Bishop Lockard I'm not sure either, but in my experience, my damage output seems better when I'm doing charged shots from optimal range. I think the arrow volley might be better if your intention is to cause status effects or to KO the beasts.
It's not so bad, it still follows the same principle as when you're using a blade. The difference is that you're much more susceptible to heavy damage than a blademaster, but you make up for it in variety of status ailments depending on the bow/bowgun. As a bow/bowgunner, you need to be aware of where you stand and how far away you are from the monster to properly react to their attacks. The principle of dodging still remains the same, it's just a matter of distance between you and your target.
Hey I have a bow with 4 charge levels and my armor has the load up skill to increase charge level but I still can't get to the fourth charge. Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong
frostbloodthirst Yeah the c stick on the new model can be used to move the camera around. On the regular models you can use the directional pad to control the camera but I find that awkward so I use the d-pad on the touchscreen. Saying that, you spend most of the time tapping the 'L' button to focus on the target so it's not that big of a deal.
On both. However as others said on the New 3ds it is far more enjoyable to play, trust me. Also one thing is very noticeable: the graphics (textures) in MH4U are much much better on the n3ds than the older 3ds. Monsters look much better on the n3ds. I have both consoles. So if u have to chose, get the n3ds.
I tried out the bow in MH4U and I could not figure out how people use this weapon while playing solo. It seemed whenever I tried killing smaller monsters that I could not target, my arrows just flew right over there head, and they always ran up to me and interrupted my aiming when I actually tried aiming with the R button. I don't know, it just seems like I am putting a limitation on myself while using the ranged weapons in this game rather than the melee weapons. Have any tips or insight that could give me a new light on this weapon?
Aldmeri Dominion not that useful,I know but it does help considering the fact that aim should be exclusively used to target one big monster. Everything else should be done with area attacks and normal attacks when there's a bunch of monsters. you just have to know the range of normal attacks and things become easier. This video talked about this and it's really useful info. Aim mode does look so cool though,I use it often😊 but it takes more time to finish off a bunch of monsters this way.
Aldmeri Dominion personally (I've started a new game with bow), I use always the aim, not the melee attack, but it can be effective to small monsters, the problem is where there's the big monster and his little ones at the same time, there I like to use an full range attack, you start aiming then you press A :P it attacks all the monsters on the red circle :P I hope this helped
I don't think I'm using the bow properly, even if I'm following all of this knowledge... is it possible that the bow is just not enough to kill some monsters? do I need to change my weapon to defeat it? Because I refuse to believe that the bow is not meant for solo hunting, I must be doing something wrong!
can you go solo with a bow? im playing x right now and i can't even kill the great maccau with it, it's almost like if it i weren't hurting it at all, any advice?
What kind of coatings are you using and what arc type is your bow? Wide is better for applying status effects like sleep, focus is great for targeting certain areas or firing along the monster, blast is good for single hits or heavily armoured monsters. You can solo with a bow I ended plesioth in village quests.
actually i got better when i changed into aerial style( im playing generations btw) it's easier to dogde attacks and it does more damage when you mount them even with the bow lol
my mom bow is so strong that you can go solo against every monster of the game, also the online version. you can't kill the great maccao because you're probably not using coatings, not respecting the critical distance, and not charging the attacks, without these things you'll do 1/10 of the regular damage of a bow
Ugh, I'm really sorry for tee noob question but how the hell do you get it to actually aim? I have it set to type 2 as well and when I press the R button it zooms in and the crosshair shows up but I still can't aim... He just continues to walk around and I have no control over the aim or trajectory. I mean, Sometimes he'll turn right around or aim way up high but I sure hope I'm missing something and that's not what they call "aiming"
shady4091 Aww dang. Well I'd strongly suggest getting a Circle Pad Pro either from Nintendo directly or from Amazon. It makes a world of difference with this game. As a matter of fact, if I didn't have the CPP, I probably wouldn't even have liked this game. The controls would've been too crazy!
Ciro I was a blademaster for a long time, then I tried bow, man listen to me, once you get expert you won't back blademaster, gunners have low defense it's true, but they haven't to worry about sharpness and that weapon bounces, it's a lot easier to hit weak points of the monster because you can aim, and break some hard monster's parts, and you have a lot of more openings to hit instead of blademasters, but of course if you are skilled it doesn't matter which weapon you use, you will break monster's ass whatever XD
Two things to add to the melee attack of the bow that make it much more viable:
1. It adds whatever coating you have on your arrows without using up one. So if you have sleep coating, you can put the monster to sleep with your melee attacks and it doesn't take up the coatings
2. It does slashing damage, which can be used to cut tails. Useful if you are soloing and need to cut a tail
I thought I was the only one who knew I love the bow I think it's probably the best weapon to beat the story line solo
Joel Reyes not anymore in my opinion, with the addition of the charge blade (seriously, blocking attacks, dealing butloads of damage AND K.Owing monsters?) and the glaive ( oh dont mind me, im just glowing gold, unleashing all manners of hell, healing myself and mounting for days).

charging the bow doesn't automaticly result in better dps but strongly depends on the bow you use and ends up beein a tactical choice most of the time.
choosing your shots upon the situation is the one way to mastering it.
You don't chose your shot based on your position, you take your position based on your best shot.
bow charges dont work the same as great sword charges. yes, they are in general more powerful than not charging, but this is not always the case. when you look at the stat pages for each individual bow it shows the shot type for each level of charge which varies from bow to bow. in some cases a later charge level will fire the same type of shot as an earlier charge. so what type of shot shot you want to fire (rapid, pierce, spread) dictates how much you want to charge it, for example the Podwing Bow Unibeetle charges go P3, P2, R4, S4 (according to the wiki) in this case it would be more advantageous to fire the bow without charging it to get the level one pierce 3 charge than to wait for the pierce 2 charge, particularly against a long monster. though rapid or scatter 4 can be more worth it depending on the circumstance at hand
also if i remember correctly, wide and focus type arc shots can inflict ko damage if they strike the head
that's both right and wrong, generally higher level charges inflict more hits, but their damage is based on the tier of the charge. A pierce 3 charge 1 does 4 hits at 50% damage, but a pierce 2 of charge would do 3 hits at 75% damage and generally be doing more damage. (not exact numbers, but the principal applies.)
thanks man now I can handle the bow better
I wish there was something like the bow but shot actual shells... like a bow, but also a gun. That would be cool.
thanks for the video, I always played as a CB but when I playw ith my friends we had noone with a ranged weapon so I decided to pick up the Bow.
And thanks to this vid i finally understood how to use it properly :D
i SWEAR i was gonna write it off.
but, you gave him a probationary period!
I feel really tempted to use this on Solo Offline, but a lot of people have been telling me that it's the same thing as asking for death apparently xD
+Geared Cookies It's really not that bad. Since you're starting with it you'll need practice to get attuned to it but after that it's easy pickings. Gotta say though the bow special is a great feature. If I could make it to HR9 in MHFU with a bow, you should be just fine.
Im afraid this video is a bit useless when you only have the demo bow to demonstrate
Agreed, it's impossible to show off spread shots or pierce shots, or any of the arc shots, or even a 3rd level charge ;w;
Would be cool my orcus sagittus (Zinogre) could do that change :P
Question, the bow i'm using, on the third charge shot it says Pierce.
Do i have to be in a certain range for it to do maximum damage?
TygeneFox12 That's correct; there is a certain distance from the enemy called "critical distance" where the screen will shake upon impact. That would be the distance you want to be to do maximum damage. :)
That distance will depend on various factors, but generally it's about 2-3 hops away for Pierce.
Ok thanks :)
Do you think you could do some in depth videos on the weapons? Cause I really want to master insect glaive...
I've got videos on all of them already on the channel - here's the playlist :) ruclips.net/p/PLHc2Wj95htvPWXPxztQYJck1KMTiE7t9v
Are you getting evolve? Also do you stream on twitch?
Yeah I am getting Evolve :) And I don't stream much right now, but I may do in the future.
***** okay nice! Looking forward to your evolve content
Oh man Evolve...lackluster blowfest. Totally forgot about that game. How some people could defend its lack of content is beyond me...
Tomi IKR
+Arekkz Gaming Calm down, you at least have to breath once between a sentence. That's not healthy, bro.
In mh3u I cut a tail with the arrow...Man that felt good.
Great tutorial
i like those tutorial.
but on 4:40 isnt the "calculation" wrong? your example: a normal hunt takes 20minutes and on another hunt i do 50% more dmg its not a 10 minute hunt (that would be a dmg increase from 100 to 200% (a 100% increase)) it would be a ~13min-13.5min hunt. (basetime/modifier--> here: 20/1.5 =13min20sec)
I mean, there is this thing called rounding...
Very informative.
I have one uestion tho, why does your bow only needs like 1 blink (charge) to be able to shoot a lvl 3 charge?
Did i miss the explanation in the video or?
When i charge my bow it takes me 2 blinks to fully charge it (only have a low lvl bow atm)
What Palicoe suit/costume is that? The Zhuge Liang, Chinese fan thing? How do you get it?
I’ve done countless amounts of research, and watched every video, and I still don’t know which weapon to use..
Are coatings replenished between hunts or do you have to buy/craft them?
You have to buy/craft them.
Ah, ok. Thanks.
@2:44 ... except yourself and that's the goal.
id say that beginners should do light bowgun rather than a bow just because the bow is hard to use and aim.
Not sure if this was answer already but that is the name of the armor skill needed for enabling power coating on bows that cant support it?
I've played almost all my hunter life with a certain type of weapon. Just recently I tried out the bow and it is really much fun! But I have a question: I noticed that almost the only way I can hit a monster is when it is on the same level as me (not lower or higher). Of course you can aim but I really suck on that. Is the only option to pull the monster on your level or am I forgetting something?
Alijandro Asturias sorry no one answered you man
what's that purple armor ur palico is wearing? its so cute!
Your intro is very very nice, but the delay is very long, with 6 or 7 seconds i think that your intro will be better
Will Flame-coated arrows set off bombs?
What type of shot does the bow in the demo shoot? It's not the same as spread in the full game, but I'd like to know, as it looks rather powerful.
***** Thanks! It just seemed too much like the spread type rather than the rapid type
so, I just learning on bow, any idea what skill should I choose? stamina or evade?
Arya Parameswara I'd choose stamina.
Is it possible to solo with the bow/bowgun ? And is it hard to adapt when you never played it ?
It's not so bad, it still follows the same principle as when you're using a blade. The difference is that you're much more susceptible to heavy damage than a blademaster, but you make up for it in variety of status ailments depending on the bow/bowgun.
As a bow/bowgunner, you need to be aware of where you stand and how far away you are from the monster to properly react to their attacks. The principle of dodging still remains the same, it's just a matter of distance between you and your target.
Ok thanks :)
Thank you so much :D
What bow/armor is that?
What bow was this?
Do a charge blade video (experienced)
Hey I have a bow with 4 charge levels and my armor has the load up skill to increase charge level but I still can't get to the fourth charge. Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong
being a bow main from world - since world is my first mh game that feels clunky and hard to aim.
can monster hunter 4 ultimate be played on a Nintendo 3ds xl? or does it need to have the "new" 3ds with the c stick?
MH4U can be played on 2DS, 3DS and 3DSXL.
oh ok, i just wasn't sure because of the "new" 3ds talk about a c stick and stuff
frostbloodthirst Yeah the c stick on the new model can be used to move the camera around. On the regular models you can use the directional pad to control the camera but I find that awkward so I use the d-pad on the touchscreen. Saying that, you spend most of the time tapping the 'L' button to focus on the target so it's not that big of a deal.
ok i appreciate it
Don't use aim for swarms of monsters...aim is useful only when far away
Oh and use the area attacks ,those are cool and good attacks. I'm also a MH noob btw
Tomi thanks for the advice.
+Cedric Jenkins Maybe my bow isn't strong enough...
+Cedric Jenkins I use Demolition Bow and my newest one is the Shayla Bow
how do certain volleys effect damage like I have the mini bomb volley on the hunter bow how does that compare to the blast volley
can you go solo with a bow? im playing x right now and i can't even kill the great maccau with it, it's almost like if it i weren't hurting it at all, any advice?
What kind of coatings are you using and what arc type is your bow?
Wide is better for applying status effects like sleep, focus is great for targeting certain areas or firing along the monster, blast is good for single hits or heavily armoured monsters.
You can solo with a bow I ended plesioth in village quests.
actually i got better when i changed into aerial style( im playing generations btw) it's easier to dogde attacks and it does more damage when you mount them even with the bow lol
my mom bow is so strong that you can go solo against every monster of the game, also the online version. you can't kill the great maccao because you're probably not using coatings, not respecting the critical distance, and not charging the attacks, without these things you'll do 1/10 of the regular damage of a bow
what armor and bow did you use for this video?
Connor Chuateco He said he is on demo version, the armor&weapon are directly selected when you choose bow class
+Connor Chuateco That's the Shagaru Magala armor set with the bow
+R3pl0idZ3r0 it's seregios dipshit
Ugh, I'm really sorry for tee noob question but how the hell do you get it to actually aim? I have it set to type 2 as well and when I press the R button it zooms in and the crosshair shows up but I still can't aim... He just continues to walk around and I have no control over the aim or trajectory. I mean, Sometimes he'll turn right around or aim way up high but I sure hope I'm missing something and that's not what they call "aiming"
Check this out! Changed my bow-using life! Things are amazing now. (So long as you're either using the Circle Pad Pro or the C-stick!)
goo.gl/2z4do4
Well I'm not using either... :(
shady4091 Aww dang. Well I'd strongly suggest getting a Circle Pad Pro either from Nintendo directly or from Amazon. It makes a world of difference with this game. As a matter of fact, if I didn't have the CPP, I probably wouldn't even have liked this game. The controls would've been too crazy!
shady4091 You have to stop walking and stand still to aim. It took me a while to figure that out when i first got mh3u.
Yeah, after going through the in-game tutorial I kinda got it. It's still hella awkward though. I'll stick with the SaS and CB.
If you succeed to inflict exhaustion to a monster it means you can also trap-capture it right away ? O o
No, they have to be below a certain level of health.
which armor skill is it? 4:45
when im applaying coats im pusing X+A but does not work
I like the bow
I have a hard time aiming with the C stick it's unebelieavably slow and not responding
Then edit the sensitivity in the settings.
Aaron Zoom Didn't know we could do that o_o thanks kind person
What is the name off the armor ?
Regios
What is the name of that bow?
it's the Sergios Bow.
How do I have money and main bow at the same time
Grind at dundroma for 17 hours
II hate how i can't aim while moving.
Arc shot..not Ox shot..my ears are confused, haha.
How do you determine what shot type (pierce, rapid, spread) the 4th charge level is when using the Power Shot?
ronninhunter I suspect it uses whichever type you used for the shot just before the Power Shot.
must.. resist.. rage quit..... resist!
OMFG infinite ammo!
I just can't go gunner
it seems impossible for me
Ciro I was a blademaster for a long time, then I tried bow, man listen to me, once you get expert you won't back blademaster, gunners have low defense it's true, but they haven't to worry about sharpness and that weapon bounces, it's a lot easier to hit weak points of the monster because you can aim, and break some hard monster's parts, and you have a lot of more openings to hit instead of blademasters, but of course if you are skilled it doesn't matter which weapon you use, you will break monster's ass whatever XD
So i decided to try gunner... Turns out that I loved the LBG XD
But I can't go with bow yet
Sicuri che e questo questo e il mio gioco preferito ma non e così io non sono ancora esperto
