  • In the PRO TIP video series The Fastest Roadside Guy Alive shows you advance practices for your roadside assistance business. Here is what to do if you have wheel stuck on hub.
We had a tire change call on a ten year old ford focus. Another company came out before us to change the tire but the service was unsucceful due to the wheel being stuck on the hub.
The Fastest Roadside Guy Alive demonstrates what to do when all else fails.. The first contractor on scene did the obvious and tried to use a dead blow and then a sledge hammer with a wood block to remove wheel. I arrived and also tried the obvious methods for this situation. However, every once in a while there is a wheel so fused on the hub that no amount of hitting will get it to break lose.. This video shows you what the next step is. Using a scissor jack and and Ingersoll Rand 20v impact gun THFRGA gets the wheel to break. This saved the customer time and money, as this situation usually results in a tow.

When a 3 or 4 pound deadblow wont work.. you can try a scissor jack

I never use a hammer to knock off the wheel that's what unexperienced people do. As for using penetrating oil that might be used 1% of the time Maybe in snow areas where they put salt on the road. I use the spare itself it's right there and it's in your hand already aired up and ready to put on all in one motion. You're welcome
