This song is even richer now that we've met Bodhi Dark, the subject of the song. His gentle and patient manner with concert goers and his willingness to engage, even after a long night, give me some insight into why Lincoln wrote this song. Beautiful. A treasure (the song, and Bodhi!) And a shout out to Shelby for the beautiful video.
I've never wanted to hear someone live so bad. I have a few artists that make me feel so good but I have no words to explain how this makes me feel. It's like running in a hill watching the sunset alone or with that one person I love but also feels like growing up idk I just cant explain it. It's literally so good I'm going to show this to everyone I know.
Hi guys, I'm a violist. I heard you all in Jacksonville, Florida a few months ago and I was overly impressed with all of your skill and heart. Incredible artists all around
I've never been disappointed by anything from you guys. I've only been a fan of yours for a couple years but you have quickly and easily become one of my all time favorite bands. The pure lyrical genius demonstrated in each song is unmatched by anything or anyone I've heard. I especially loved the eloquence of your Principium E.P. I'll be greatly looking forward to your bright future.
Such an underrated music! Ever since discovering you guys, I've been sharing your music with all of my friends and family, and now we all just can't get enough of these amazing songs!!!
Y’all’s music has been a favorite of mine for a while, and it never fails to compel me to pay more attention and think more deeply on the little things that often pass me by. Thanks for making great music
I've been in love with your music since 2020 when Wander. Wonder. popped up in my playlist. Please. Do not stop making music. Every song you've written is amazing.
I saw you guys in St. Louis this August. We had the pleasure of having your friend there in the audience that night! Hearing this song was magical. The music you all make is just so real and meaningful, there’s nothing else like it. It’s truly the most beautiful music out there. Please, never ever stop! Thank you so much for everything you do.
*Damn,* y'all are good. And that black guitar reminds me of my dad's old guitar-- 1936 Gibson, painted back ine era of b&w TV, ivory trim (repaired by a guy who strips old beyond-hope instruments for their parts and reuses them.) It has much the same beautiful, mellow sound.
It was an incredible experience to hear this song for the first time in concert. It stuck with me for days afterwards and I was so happy to listen to it again after it was released. Thank you for making such beautiful music, it really captures a sense of peace that you can't find anywhere else.
Just heard this song at one of y’all’s concerts. So happy that you guys were able to put together this heartwarming music video. Excellent job as always!
so amazing. i heard this song live at Eddie's Attic a few months back, and I've been eagerly awaiting the recording! love it. you guys are so talented, and so much heart and soul is poured into your music. truly a gift, thank you so much for doing what you were made to do!
This was really beautiful. I'm blessed to have a friend like this, and I'm so grateful God put him in my life. These images and song make me very nostalgic for similar memories. It feels like a celebration of friendship, community and the importance of sharing our burdens. Thank you for your hard work in creating this and for sharing it!
I'd love to hear some of your music in hi res (24 bit). I'm sure the masters are 24 bit at least, so uploading them to Bandcamp would take almost no effort.
@@TheArcadianWild PS: I just downloaded the WAV file from Bandcamp, and it looks like it's 16 bit (CD quality) not 24 bit (hi res). I know, only audiophile geeks care about this sort of thing. But I hope when you do an album release, you'll consider making it available at both quality levels.
hey Lincoln i have a few questions .1. what type of mandolin do you use (not the octave one in the video) and what tunings do you usually use .2. are you guys ever going to release your cover of parks and rec theme .3. is the next album coming out in spring of 2023. thanks

I saw them in Santa Cruz a few months ago and it was probably the best concert experience of my life. They're absolutely delightful.
I absolutely agree! It's a feeling too much for words. I love this band so much.
I'm hoping they tour near me soon 'cause I wanna go sooo so badly.

Beautiful song and video, very warm and heartfelt sort of feeling going on.
Love it, just like everything else you've created. You know one thing I'd love to see now: some Christmas music!
Absolutely beautiful arrangement, great vocals Lincoln.

I caught the Relient K reference. ;) Is there a place where you talk about this song's background story? (Maybe I should check out your website . . .)
They posted about it on Instagram, but essentially it’s inspired by Lincoln’s longtime best friend

Enjoying the new music! When's the next Kickstarter?
I'm curious. Did he know what you were filming him for? If not, this was an amazing gift to him.
