They have revamped almost every single movement animation in the game. It looks unbelievably smooth. Then they also changed all hit animations. The hunter getting hit animations are looking fantastic, and the weapon doesn't even get sheathed anymore either. One of my favorites I saw was when the hunter got knocked directly backwards and their legs went up over their head before flopping back down. It looks so perfectly goofy. Then there's getting up animations that are different depending on which direction you run when getting up, it's great. A game can only truly be "AAAA" if it's made by a passionate team of developers who care for their art with as little meddling from non-gamer 'suits' as possible. Yeah, that doesn't describe an Ubisoft title. This is one reason why titles like Elden Ring and Monster hunter are so successful despite not having crap like paid lootboxes to give you 'a sense of pride and accomplishment'. Monster Hunter does have some interference from 'the suits' as most big games do these days, but at least their influence isn't nearly as much of a plague compared to some companies, like EA. The only non-cosmetic thing you can get at the moment by spending more money is a single charm that probably has Divine Blessing 1 and Attack Boost 1 like the Fair Wind charm from MH:World, which is basically something you only use in the early game until you get some actual charms you want to use.

@15:02 - see the map! Monster Hunter Wilds is not an open world because the map is not an open world type of map. Yeah, the recommended aren't bad, *but* (this is the big butt but) it's only for 1080p on *medium* settings with framegen. Framegen definitely isn't ideal for action games as the delay just makes things feel bad. Framegen shouldn't be used as a crutch to reach 60fps, especially with that low of resolution and on medium settings. It will take more power to do native (no framegen) on those same settings. Recommended is usually for the highest settings and with the smoothest experience, so that's why they are getting flak.
the recommended specs are bad. a 6700xt reaching 60fps with frame gen in 1080 med mean i can only reach 30 fps without frame gen. and you aren't supposed to use frame gen if your base framerate is under 60fps, its in the AMD documentation about frame gen. so capcom directly violate AMD rule about frame generation. if its true then to get 1080 60fps in medium, then you need at least a rtx 4080 to get a smooth 60 experience as its twice the performance as a 6700xt. and the 4080 cost 1000 bucks.
