Leaving em in my room overnight has been my go to on making them plump and tight, I’ve always used rogue borax o fire but lately I’ve been liking how the fire cure + a little 321 tightens em. I’ll try this tho cause I have a few jars of borax o fire that I haven’t been using 🔥

Add a shot of fire brine in there also. Same amount as the nectar, really toughens them up. Amazing how much the skeins will suck up.
Great info! I've been butterflying my more mature eggs and notice they don't last as long while fishing them because they are alot looser. Will try keeping them as is next time I cure another batch of eggs.
I always wanted to know how they make that comercial cured egg bait that's 100% shelf stable. Theyre in heavy vacuum sealed bagging and they sit on the shelf with lures and bobbers in tackle shops

Hmm I do a salt and pepper kinda sprinkle on my eggs. With cure. The less cure the better. I also use jello. To make the eggs a bit rubbery just like salt and pepper sprinkles every time I put in my cure I sprinkle on my eggs reason it's a waste of cure to cake it'on. I can do about fourty pound of eggs with a regular container of cure how I use it. I still add My goodies but sprinkle it on like salt and pepper.
If your end product turns out the way you like'em, then what you are doing works. Always more than one way to do most things. 😉

What color of borax o fire are you using in this video? I notice at retailers there are a variety….
Always the dark red. It almost looks purple in the container. The red Fire Dye also adds a tremendous amount of color. The darker red, the better 😉

Really looking forward to bangin’ some Springers and gettin a hen to use your process! Thanks for your contribution to the sport putting together real effective content!!!

I hope we cross paths again. A friend and, I fished alongside you and, Jordan a few years back. You noticed that day, we weren’t hooking any chum. Are you willing to put your Pautzke cured eggs up against my lil this and, lil that? FYI, chum being plankton feeders, are attracted to krill.
@@dh1270 eggs with additional krill or shrimp, work great. Where was this at? Were Jordan and I not catching fish? Usually when I target Chum, it's hard to beat a shrimp tipped jig. 😉
