Fastest and easiest why to hold the eggs. Nice video, good that your doing this for those who didn't know...lol, when I was growing up I didn't have anyone to teach me, and they didn't have RUclips back then, so I learned the hard way....lol, lost a ton of eggs but finally figured it out. These videos will help people out immensely. Props to y'all for doing these.
I was just talking with m father about that. He grew up that way too. I love the ease of access to info but I would have much rather learned through experience. But amazing information. Thanks friend
I never learned crap in school . just to boring , never had what I liked. But you guys make me learn what I like and I feel as if I`m ready to Graduate from steelhead, salmon University
That was a great tutorial!!! Thank you so much for this! I was able to tie my very first skein loop with total success. It's secured onto the hook perfectly just like yours. Now going out to try it! 🤞🏻 Salmon are running here in Milwaukee WI up the rivers from Lake Michigan. Thanks again for this! 🎣
How the hell do you guys have under 50k subscribers! By far the most educational fishing channel on RUclips in my opinion! I don’t fish much but I’m definitely getting back into it after binge watching addicted fishing for the past 3 days. Haha I have my salmon/steelhead license but haven’t put it to use this year yet. Hopefully I can hook on at least one before the year is over. Lol
Thanks for the video. Learned this know after watching the first time. Always so easy to understand and amazing explanations of anything complicated. Keep up the amazing informative videos guys. Hope to see ya out on the river sometime. Fish on!!
Yes. Ive just starting catching stock trout. Do roe eggs would all your round or just in autumn when they would expect to see them? Definately try bait loops. Great video. 😁
Thank you! Great tutorial! Just bought pro-cute/ addicted fishing anice-krill scent for my shrimp plunking setup. Will try eggs another day. Hope there's still steelhead in Clackamas/Sandy.
Awesome videos as always. I have always thought that best way to keeping roe on was in there mouth. i have been doing it wrong all these years. DANG IT. Keep up your awesome videos and tutorials love them and learning alot from them.
Gentle man having just moved from santa barbara to rouge river city I have 0 knowledge of fishing on a river.never fished on a river I started checking out you vidios.i kinda no how to drift fish sorta.jusr want to say thanks .first time out caught a 18 in trout or steel head still trying to figure it out.
Going to give the light wire hooks a shot. Been losing too many big kings on skein. Light wire makes me afraid though. Being I hope they do not straighten out during the fight.
@@AddictedFishing I used your mustad code and ordered some. Nothing stings more than losing big fish. So many times my hook just pops out during the fight. Thanks for the tip and hopefully this cures my woes for good. Keep rocking out the dope videos guys!
What bout just using a Palomar knot and use magic string the stretchy fishing string. Just learned about it for fishing chicken liver for catfish but may be able to use here too right?
Do you think a very loose spawn sack with the equivalent size would work instead of skien. The reason I’m asking is I only have cured eggs and I feel that I could make a similar presentation using netting and the egg loop knots. Please let me know if you have any experience with this
8:32 -- I did the double-wrap of the egg-loop around the eggs and that technique ruined by egg hook. After doing that four or five times, the egg loop develops a massive knot and is too difficult to un-do. So the egg-loop hook has to be cut away and replaced... shitty.
My concern is that if this is done and I go to cast. Wouldn't the line tense up on the eggs and the berries fly off when you go to cast? This is my first time learning how to go fishing and I have very many questions but not really knowing what yo do. Love these videos you guys make though
There shouldn’t be tension on it since you’ll tie the line to an online weight, and then that to your drift bobber. If there is any I tension it’d be on the bobber side or above the inline weight.
All the salmon ive caught eggs’ were sort of ‘loose’ (individual eggs with nothing holding them together) with none of that skein youre talking about. Is it that i was too late in the run and they were ready to start laying?
I fish the salmon river the last 3 years I’ve kept eggs in skein and have tried curing them with boroxofire. First year it just made a mess next year I used a lot less still not good same last year with even less cute on them. This year I’m trying to rock salt them. Not sure what’s going wrong for me if I’m just getting fish too late and the skein isn’t good quality or the cure is shit. I’d like to see a video of them being cured. And why haven’t you guys done a video up here salmon river Pulaski ny? Is it because it’s a zoo? Oh and swag me
If your roe is from a salmon late in its run the skein could either be really thin or in some cases already released the roe cause it was about to discharge the eggs. In that case, go with the mesh spawn sacks available at most fishing stores. Easy to tie on and come in a wide variety of colors.
I’ve caught a lot of Salmon on eggs. With that said I’ve caught a lot more with Anchovies or other baits. When I fish on my own always anchovies. I don’t know just a question when you use eggs arnt you limiting the salmon population?
Depending on your local regs, if you're keeping a female salmon that's loaded with roe a lot of us cure the roe for fishing, or some cure it for eating. Either way, those eggs are put to good use.
I'm in BC Canada, and that was a great size for any of the steelhead, coho, and springs. I've seen bigger clusters than that pulling in some big salmon.
When you jump around talking about other stuff while explaining how to tie the hook it makes it significantly harder to follow along with as its easy to mixup or lose yourself in the steps if the person explaining how to tie it jumps around talking about other tidbits of information
Maybe some people see better than me, but I could not follow the knot. Or maybe it is for those that already know how and just want a refresher. Why do you hold up the hook and knot against a grey shirt that makes it impossible to see how it is done…? That is ridiculous to instruct like that. Who not hold up a piece of flat black card and have two cameras? Sorry, lost me and a number of other people who had the same reaction. Too bad.

Thank you Jordan! Very informative

Thanks I have been wanting to try eggs. I was not sure how to rig them.
Jordan’s the man!
Killer content dude! Great Intel for someone like me who is educating myself 🤙🏻
That was very helpful. I have just started fishing again after several years away from it and this will be very useful in the future.
Nicely done...
Love this tutorial. Makes it so easy. Thank you
Great vid homie!

david russell Puyallup Sportsmans Warehouse on Thursday at 6 pm.
Thank you!
Thank you
Did you try this for burbot fishing in rivers during winter times? I could imagine this might work also.
Thank you! Great tutorial! Just bought pro-cute/ addicted fishing anice-krill scent for my shrimp plunking setup. Will try eggs another day. Hope there's still steelhead in Clackamas/Sandy.

Does the egg loop knot work for braided line to?
Which way are you wrapping? Towards the eye or the shank?
What bout just using a Palomar knot and use magic string the stretchy fishing string. Just learned about it for fishing chicken liver for catfish but may be able to use here too right?
Just refered this video to this RUclipsr I was watching, he glued the eggs onto the hook! Lmao 🤣
Good one , you schooling me.
what about those little nets that they put bloodworms in ,could they use them for eggs on hook ?
Do you ever use an octopus circle hook for egg fishing?
nice video👍😊
Would you recommend using Sacks to hold the Salmon eggs in place??
If im bank fishing with eggs should i use weight ? Dont use weight ?
What alternatives are there to the egg loop? I have tried all the techniques, it’s just far too hard
Do you think a very loose spawn sack with the equivalent size would work instead of skien. The reason I’m asking is I only have cured eggs and I feel that I could make a similar presentation using netting and the egg loop knots. Please let me know if you have any experience with this
Where do you buy the the eggs
8:32 -- I did the double-wrap of the egg-loop around the eggs and that technique ruined by egg hook.

Beau Mac makes these mesh squares that you fold a tie you eggs in. That may more helpful.
when you use egg and when you use spinner?
Jordan is like dude from tactical bassin talking about swimbaits.
That intro is 🔥

I eat my eggs with honey,
I’ve done it all my life.
It makes the eggs taste funny,
but it keeps them on my knife.
Left a like
Pharo Prism Thanks! 🙌
All the salmon ive caught eggs’ were sort of ‘loose’ (individual eggs with nothing holding them together) with none of that skein youre talking about. Is it that i was too late in the run and they were ready to start laying?
YES
If the eggs are loose, you can still cure them and then tie them in mesh spawn sacks. Works great
Hey fellas
Wrap the egg loop twice!!
And I like your method, you tie right in the end of the leader.

Why you catch a salmon on your anchovies, arent you limiting the salmon population?
jim mck One Salmon vs those thousand you use with a days fishing with eggs. It the reason in most places you can’t use eggs.
Depending on your local regs, if you're keeping a female salmon that's loaded with roe a lot of us cure the roe for fishing, or some cure it for eating. Either way, those eggs are put to good use.
WOW That's a pretty big hook we use salmon hooks that are no bigger than your baby finger nail.
Another way is to tie it with stretchy string they never fall off
Use a bait button!
looks too much bait. But might work in different fishery
Fishing Reporter You use less? You can always do more or less with this method.
I'm in BC Canada, and that was a great size for any of the steelhead, coho, and springs. I've seen bigger clusters than that pulling in some big salmon.
👍👍
The focus is kinda messed up while youre tying the hook so its hard to see what youre actually doing/talking about while tying the hook
Swag me!
So don’t cover the hook correct?
Isn’t that a snell knot ??
When you jump around talking about other stuff while explaining how to tie the hook it makes it significantly harder to follow along with as its easy to mixup or lose yourself in the steps if the person explaining how to tie it jumps around talking about other tidbits of information

Go look up the bait loop somewhere else dumbass. Don’t need lames like you around anyway so personally I’m happy your on your way out.
Almost 6 minutes till he shows you how to make the loop...unreal
A Chatty Cathy. This video could easily be 1 minute. Stick with subject.
