If I lose on rate up banner like suomi does the guarantee carries onto the next rate up banner like how the pity carries on to the next rate up banners?

I've settled for one Makiatto, she came home at 40, zero pity, and slapped Mosin-Nagant's SSR weapon on her. V3 Sharkry from the rest of the pulls ain't a bad get either. And it's back to saving for Klukay.
As a F2P my current stance is that I'll only want one copy of the gun. Not required but beneficial. A single 10 pull got me my Makiatto. I did the 70 pulls to get her gun, no regrets. Somewhere in the future I'll roll for more copies of Makiatto. Off Topic: Being a consistent F2P, Sabrina and Papasha will be V6 this time next year. Boss Fights and Platooning respectively will see to that. Standard Gacha pulls are a bonus!
I got Makiato V1 and her Weapon in 150 pulls total , I was at 40 pulls pitty and guaranteed , then won the 50/50 for Makiato V1, and won the 50/50 for the weapon in 30 pulls . After that I pull 50 more times to get sharkry copies (luckily I got 3 copies and now she is in V5) and lost 50/50 on Peritiya , so now I’m at no pitty at all but my next one is guaranteed 🫡 Good luck with your pulls 🍀

This banner destroyed me. Pulled for her first dupe, got pretty close to hard pity both times, but won 50/50 both times. Lost on weapon and went to hard pity both times. Worst pulls I've had in any game in a while
Theres always someone worse, if its any consolation i would have loved to get your pulls i pulled for suomi and her dupe, lost both 50/50 and had to almost hard pity everything, (i think got 1 in 50 pulls), i think i used 4 characters amount of collapse pieces for her, have nothing now, but hey got a sabrina and vepley, :( Those weapon pulls where bad though, that happened to me 2 times in ZZZ, the only game i ever lost weapon banners and was 2 times.

Got tololo from standard banner in 90 pulls, sabrina from beginner banner and lost 50/50 Marietta banner for sabrina dupe + 2 Sharkry dupes i think the game is trying to tell me to stick to hydro comp and save for springfield lol
1st 10 pull got it. but lost 50/50 to vepley then another 50 pulls to get Makiatto. 60 total 2 ssr and v5 sharkry. no krolik. sweet and 20 pulls for the weapon. all great i guess :D
Nice that people getting lucky with the game, for me i think this is the worst beginning of a game i had, pulled in the suomi banner 2 times lost both times at basically hard pity, got a vepley and Sabrina, no QJ or Tololo, well have a V1 suomi so nice? this is painful, if i had lost to a Qj or Tololo i would not even be mad, but like this? its pure pain, have 150 pieces at moment.

I'm convinced that Sharkry is the rarest character in the game. It took me 300 summons (Standard + Suomi + Maki banners) to get her first copy.
I guess everyone has a hard one to get, for me it was Ksenia... 440 pulls for her v0

lost 50/50 to Nagant after 20 pulls got Makiatto and another Nagant on the same 10 pulls

As someone who rerolled for a descent account i know for a fact they are crap for most people.
My pulls were pretty brutal in the first event, but I drew Makiatto in 40 pulls along with 2 Sharkry dupes.

Arcana for early game. W2000 and Samosek looks to be about the same strength used more for late game
