Born in the Neo-Soviet Union in 2053, Mayling Shen's parents were demolition workers who died from ELID shortly after her birth due to their unsafe working conditions during reconstruction efforts. After passing from foster home to foster home, she joined a small mechanical repair workshop at age eight, where she gained mechanical skills until four years later when the workshop was attacked and destroyed by Varjager bandits, leaving her alone once again. Nemesis' signature weapon isn't on the banners. You can only get it off of the battle pass. None of the rare characters have Elite signature weapons that you can gacha for. At least not at this time.
This is one of my most hated thing about the game, they didn't even bother making 5star weapon for each weapon type in the standard banner, so If I'm unlucky and don't get Suomi's 4star weapon on her banner I HAVE to pull on her weapon banner because the other 4star purple is literally useless while the 5star in the battlepass is actually usable
Man this is a kick in the balls. I already upkeep 30 bucks (15+15) for zzz and hsr, GFL2 is more expensive since it has two battlepasses (Journey logs + Voyage Logs) on top of the daily injection pass. I'm not planning on spending and now I am told that the signature weapons are locked behind a paywall... great.

Looking at your video and the comments, I'm glad we can all agree that the start of the story and the starting cast are kinda bland. Partner this with the fact that auto-battle doesn't adapt to what's required and instead just spams literally whatever at the target- (making it somewhat useless in some fights.) So I expect, just like Arknights- people who can really get behind the strategy and EXCESSIVE grind will love it, whereas it's doomed to fail for casual audiences who just like time wasters rather than difficulty. And you know, Arknights is still afloat with a smaller-than-average but dedicated fanbase.
Uhm, excessive grind? GFL2 has no time consuming grind, only one-time progress and recurring rewards based on that. You can either take your time, or just do your dailies until you can beat new stages more easily.
My biggest issue with the game currently is that you're grinding for attachments with the right stats and the right set bonus. I've gotten some really good AR attachments that increase purple damage which is just wat? Apart from that it's the constant talking, characters talk way too much to say very little but something that may turn away people is the sheer amount of stuff to do. You finish the story mode, have hard mode, also the event, which has two story parts with both a normal and hard mode, as well as the exploration bit, which has achievements that require you to finish under a certain number of turns and the NIKKE minigame. On top of daily grind stuff, the challenge content, the boss content, clearing each level of the stuff you're grinding, pvp like game just came out could we please chill?
@@JapaneseChannel-fm2neId even argue ten minutes. Also I've been playing since launch and I'll be real, theres a lot of content even at endgame to play through to help keep people engaged, which is standard for most games to have. Multiple endgame modes to grind currency, hard mode for each chapter, an event with various pieces of content, you've got the attachment system which sorry to say is pretty standard at this point for gacha games to have. The only problem I've personally had to date was the banner schedule for en being different from jp and the double banner drop on release.
@@JapaneseChannel-fm2ne Yeah. Games tend to launch without events so you can get your bearings. Here I feel like I'm constantly being told "wait there's more".
@@Lapplandfan The attachment system is standard what isn't is rolling for the right set on top of the right stats. In HSR and ZZZ you choose which set you grind and then hope for the stats. GFL2 has not only weapon specific attachments but also random stats and set bonuses. I am also not talking about having too much to do at endgame but yes as you're leveling. Zenless was the last game I played and you didn't get into the hollow zero boss before you cleared all the base hollow zero content which meant getting to high level and having a built team. In GFL2 you are constantly being thrown stuff, at least they'd hold off the event for a week or two, it's not like the base game doesn't have enough content to keep people in.
is this your first gacha game? you dont grind attachment on early mid game, you grind it when you max level, just get the set you need and pry for a good muzzle. use your mats for the team that suitable for higher level, if you have a good comp, you can clear 3/4 level above you about the pvp, i found 1 of 3 player put their lvl 1 doll on the defense team, and since then i never put my high level there and put my lowest doll there. i cant comment with the story since i skipped everything. ill check it later on yt lol
I was addicted to this, hit 30ish, then unlocked PVP. No way I'm PVPing against weirdos that spend $40k+ on their accounts. Then I looked at what the actual endgame is, and I kind of began losing interest. The game is great, but I don't see endgame that would keep me around after the campaign, paying. Paying for pulls to do what? I went from playing nonstop to unlocking PVP, to i haven't turned it on today.
Most people know that pvp sucks and pointless so they put in low level dolls so everyone can reach max ranks (because you don't lose points in defense)
I'm quite disappointed in this game, not joking. They committed the cardinal sin of any anime game... They redesigned so many characters from the original and now they look completely different. Nagant Revolver, G11 and Dushevnaya. So far there are absolutely zero of the Blue Archive type designs eventhough they were in day 1 of the original game. The new designs look fine but they should have been their own new characters if they didn't want to give them lore accurate models. Ironically the one thing that saves the game for me is the gameplay since I like XCOM 2. Ironic because most people seem to play it just for the fanservice. GFL1 had more fanservice actually despite all the memes. Like look at all the damaged art and try to tell me this isn't toned down. And many dorm poses are completely innocuous like most of Nagant's poses and the most spiciest interactions are locked behind the paywall. I think there is still time for the game to turn around but at the moment its a very bittersweet experience.
@@fiyindk7367 Oh now I get what you are saying. These are androids. They shouldn't be able to age or change too drastically in appearance other than clothing. Nagant and G11 literally used to be lolis. Like full on loli. Like Helena type characters. Whereas Deshevnaya had completely different hair and eye color and had cat ears. (Which makes it strange how Suomi recognized her when she looks nothing like she used to) These are very big leaps in character designs hence why I said they look like new characters. Its not just "O they have a nice new outfit". That would be great. This is more like race-swapping lol.
@@darken2417 i agree with some of them look more mature, but the design on their clothing, hair color and something like a cat ear is fine, it would be easier for them to change it since their body are replaceable and can be modified. they are originally a civillian doll with emotion module, i don't see why they won't try changing parts. and even then for ten years they still have resemblance to their past so that's a plus, not to mention some dolls have different clothing when they work somewehere else. i don't see why this is even close to raceswap.
@@Golden_Knight_Aldebaran But this is an anime waifu collector. They could have just made new characters if they wanted new characters. This is like taking a super thicc waifu and making her flat and pretending that nothing changed. Nagant Revolver started out looking younger than Illya(Fate) and now looks older than Lumine(Genshin). That is like three levels of difference. That is why its like a race swap. KSVK (Dushevnaya) had different eyes and a different hair color and a different face. And again, another doll recognizes her instantly as if she looks the same as before when she doesn't. This is exactly like if you made a Harry Potter sequel with the same actors except for Hermoine and making her black and no one notices a difference.

In GFL2 you are constantly being thrown stuff, at least they'd hold off the event for a week or two, it's not like the base game doesn't have enough content to keep people in.
is this your first gacha game? you dont grind attachment on early mid game, you grind it when you max level, just get the set you need and pry for a good muzzle.
use your mats for the team that suitable for higher level, if you have a good comp, you can clear 3/4 level above you
about the pvp, i found 1 of 3 player put their lvl 1 doll on the defense team, and since then i never put my high level there and put my lowest doll there.
i cant comment with the story since i skipped everything. ill check it later on yt lol
Pity is 10 less
Мистер Еанго, ты русскоговорящий?
Нет конечно. Тебе по акценту не понятно?
Bro why are your vids getting more boring
I was addicted to this, hit 30ish, then unlocked PVP. No way I'm PVPing against weirdos that spend $40k+ on their accounts. Then I looked at what the actual endgame is, and I kind of began losing interest. The game is great, but I don't see endgame that would keep me around after the campaign, paying. Paying for pulls to do what? I went from playing nonstop to unlocking PVP, to i haven't turned it on today.
Most people know that pvp sucks and pointless so they put in low level dolls so everyone can reach max ranks (because you don't lose points in defense)
The PvP is somehow good? Losing on defend won't lost you a single rank
Do pvp and fight easy "squads". You lose nothing if your defending team loses.
You should definitely be the same person you are 10 years ago

Oh now I get what you are saying.
These are androids. They shouldn't be able to age or change too drastically in appearance other than clothing.
Nagant and G11 literally used to be lolis. Like full on loli. Like Helena type characters.
Whereas Deshevnaya had completely different hair and eye color and had cat ears. (Which makes it strange how Suomi recognized her when she looks nothing like she used to)
These are very big leaps in character designs hence why I said they look like new characters.
@@Golden_Knight_Aldebaran
But this is an anime waifu collector.
This is exactly like if you made a Harry Potter sequel with the same actors except for Hermoine and making her black and no one notices a difference.
this game is braindead easy, and extremely boring.
We're all impressed by your prowess in a gacha game. If they have a "best at GF2" awards, you'll get my nomination. If I could give you a trophy, I would. One can only dream of being as hardcore great at games as you are. Maybe someday, I guess.
pleaswe teach me how to play oh grand messiah of the gf2
