St John is our favorite Caribbean Island and you all look like you had such a wonderful time. We've never spent a week there but after watching your video, that may change. Excellent work...
+Cora Reuter, well you did a great job. We renewed our wedding vows at Hawksnest Bay and I sent my original "kudos" before I saw the end of the full clip.. Touching moment there at the end. I'm also from the west coast (Garden Grove, Newport Beach areas).
Yay, another west-coastie that knows about St John! They are few an far between here, huh? Most everyone goes the easy route to Hawaii. And this just in: WE ARE MOVING TO ST JOHN IN AUGUST! We just closed on a house to rent yesterday! We decided, hey, you only live once. Let's give it a go. I will be teaching violin and playing in weddings, and Justin can run his business from anywhere. If you come down, give a holler.... we have tons of extra room at our place and would love to host a fellow west coaster!
+Cora Reuter that's fantastic. I invite you to find me on FB and friend request me. We will be on St John this December and if we can make it happen, I'd love to buy you both a beverage and hear all about this exciting adventure.
My wife and I have been going to STJ since 2000, and like you, it's also our favorite spot on Earth. When we first started going, the only way we could get underwater photos was with the disposable Fuji film cameras, which left a lot to be desired. Nowadays, the images (I have a D7000 as well...) and the video others have made is so clear and vivid - and easy to find here on RUclips, which is great! It lets us all see the island through somebody else's eyes as sort of mini-vacations until the next time we all go back (next month for us...). Anyway, thanks for sharing!
I love watching other people's St John vids, too... makes me see what I want to do next time. Ha, I remember those cameras! Having to be so picky about which shots to click the shutter for, an not knowing for weeks if anything you took actually turned out. Man, aren't we spoiled now? Big news, we are actually MOVING to St john in August! Just secured a year-long villa on Gifft Hill. I will be teaching violin there at the School of the Arts and playing weddings, (www.stjohnweddingmusic.com/) and Justin will be working remotely. I just ordered a GoPro since I loved my friend's footage so much. The iphone in the underwater camera case just isn't as good. Maybe we will run into each other : )
Thanks for the great videos of your experience. This video has made me want to join in on your fun for myself. Snorkeling fun just drove me crazy. Wonderful shots of what one could expect on their own journey at St. John. I'm retired and not rich. But your experience has sold me on this place. I will join your fun at St John in the future. Thank You !
Thanks so much! This was a vacation a couple years ago, but we actually moved there for a year last Aug and we just came back to the real world last week! I plan on making a video of our year there at some point. You def need to go! Samuel Cotteges is a great affordable option. I think it is still $100 a night! Best deal on the island!
Really enjoyed videos and reading that your family is moving there. My wife and I are coming in our 1st trip over Labor Day and are already trying to plan a spring break with the kids next year.
Honestly, after knowing Cora's dad for years, I don't know why he didn't suggest she invite me to come along....particularly on this last one! I'd say, beautifully photographed, and a gorgeous family having a well deserved holiday. Right, after watching carefully, all that's missing are Athena & Woody, oh, um and Karen & Hal.
cora's videos never get old. Love them. watch them over and over . they make me happy!
what a fun family vacation! great captures & music. thanks for sharing!
Beautiful video, I loved it!

Thanks! We are west coasters, so after a full day of grueling travel to get on island, we need at least a week to unwind : )
