I accidentally stepped on my Agptek C05 just recently and the screen broke. I was so mad at myself for breaking it. I really loved my little MP3 player. I always had it on me, until that one day. I didn’t know it was on the floor until I heard a crunch sound, when I stepped on it. Anyway the bluetooth signal sound that the Agpek C05 MP3 player puts out is loud and decent. The bluetooth stayed connected, even with the walls in my house. I had to order another MP3 player. I went with a generic one this time. It’s a 8th generation one from eBay. As long as it’s not too crappy, I think it should be ok. :)
Great review - honest and thorough. I *had* a Sansa Fuze 4G with the wheel and hard buttons. I cant find it anywhere. So I'm looking for a replacement. This one looks like the Sansa Fuze (when they eliminated the hard buttons and went to the same controls as this one). I think Sandisk is still making quality MP3 players, and there are a few on EBay. I'm sure I saw a Sansa Clip for $39 recently. Maybe thats the way to go. By the way the rationale for MP3 Players (is to save your phone's batteries). I cycle long distances and listen to tunes. I need a lot of memory to hold my playlist. Also -- no streaming available, again more battery and data usage!. MP3 players are still a thing!

gotta have: - great sound, - bluetooth 5.0, - microSD-card slot (or +32GB of internal storage), - long battery life (when using 3.5mm jack) ...otherwise no thanks. nice to have: - wireless charging, - waterproof ...it is 2019 after all, but neither of those are mandatory :)
Are there any MP3 players like this that have quick scrolling? I have one like this and i have to click through songs and it's tedious with hundreds of songs. The iPod had that scroll wheel to quickly scroll. Are there any options like that on this?
If it varies by song, it's probably some inconsistency / incompatibility with certain files, e.g. different JPEG compressions. Not gonna be an easy fix.

How do I add songs? I added, shows in folder on laptop, as added, does not show in player. I turned the play off and on and no change, plus the new songs are not showing anywhere, not in the 3 playlist folders nor the main default folder.

There's a way to convert your music on your cd to mp3. It's easy I tried it. You just have to have a computer that can put cd and a like music player on PC that I think every PC have

Probably depends on your Bluetooth earbuds. When on Bluetooth, you're using the amps built into your earbuds. When using a wire, you're using the amp in the player.
download the song, for me I use Mp3Quack. After download it use cable to put the songs from computer to your mp3 player. When you put cable to your computer and your mp3 player your computer will pop up a file, then find the song that you download and then drag it to your mp3 player (USB).

DRM = digital rights management. Basically, it's software that makes is so you can't open files (like music, or ebooks) on a device unless you're logged in and authenticated with an account that has rights to the content.
I don't recommend all these cheap mp3 players. They mostly sound really, really bad, never support aptx (which is SO important for good sound in Bluetooth mode) and use crappy DACs. There are very few exceptions, for example the Nintaus X10 (which even has a great Wolfson DAC)

I think my biggest problem with audio player reviews of any kind is they seemingly neglect the fact that most young people and many older people I know don't just own a large library of music that they can put on the device. the most important part of owning a mp3 player like this isn't even mentioned passed like what type of audio it be put on it. there is a large cost when it comes to buying music for a digital audio player. It's 3 weeks shy of 2023 now and the MAIN reason to buy an mp3 player and NOT use your mobile phone is these: 1) I don't want radiation from my mobile phone transmitted up the cables of my headphones/earpieces right up against my head, thank you very much. (No, I try not to use my phone against my head as well for the same reason) 2) Why not use bluetooth headphones/earpieces instead? No Thanks. I cable for a reason: to cut down on my exposure of EMF's. No. I don't use wi-fi in the house either.

1) I don't want radiation from my mobile phone transmitted up the cables of my headphones/earpieces right up against my head, thank you very much. (No, I try not to use my phone against my head as well for the same reason)

I just use mp3 player because my phone doesn't have headphone jack. If phone still have headphone jack I'd not use mp3 player
