I know this is an old video but any chance you did anything with the playlist functions? Mostly I'd like to at least rename the preset "Playlist 1" etc. I'll never remember what they are without a custom name.
Thank you explaining the EQ. SD card navigation shows as LOCAL and CARD and both can be easily navigated. I, too, prefer the click buttons of the earlier M6 Agptek and its smaller size but the A19 is better made all round, indeed has some sort of glass screen, is far better sounding and although you did not try the recorder, I use a lot and it is better than on the M6 and certainly better than any of my Sandisk MP3s from when Sandisk Sansa actually made adequate products. I do not know who makes Sandisk MP3s nowadays but I doubt than it is Sandisk. The main advantage of MP3 players is that they do what they were designed to do and even 'flagship' smartphones cannot do because DACs are inferior. MP3 players are especially useful in educational contexts and fuss-free listening to music in vehicles or walking distances because battery life is superb. AGPTEK basic design is German and they are made in China. I have owned several and although some Indian and Chinese manufacturers offer more 'modern' looking UIs it is good sound and reliability I look for and find it with this brand. I have subscribed to your site.
Is this good for playing lossless files such as flacs and do you think the device's hardware does high quality files justice? Im trying to find an mp3 player that's better quality than my ipod touch
Hey, I got an agptek mp3 player a few months ago, it worked perfectly before, but for some reason when I connect it to my computer now it doesn't show me the option to connect and transfer (but luckily it does charge) so I am unable to download more music onto it. Sorry, do you know how I can fix this problem? Thanks.
I'd first try another usb cord and check the pins for the connector inside the player (it's possible the data pins aren't connecting but the power pins are).
Accessing via the sorted music folder will only cache 4000 songs, however directly going to the internal memory using the folder browser will see all of the music on the drive. The 4000 song limit is because it has to cache the id3 tag info into ram which has a physical limit.
Hello i bought one for my university walks! but i just cant seem to be able to transfer the music because i dont know how to think you could make a tutorial?
That's a hard question to answer as even different phones sound very different. Generally, this sounds very decent when playing audio files with sufficient bitrates through wired iem earbuds. There are definitely much better sounding players but their prices are also much higher than this guy so it really comes down to what your specific needs are.
How do I manually add some albums? I tried adding a folder directly into it from my PC but its not showing up as an album, the songs just get flooded under the "all songs" option. Any help? How did you get it to have albums?
The albums section reads the id3 tag info of each song and sorts by the album info while the file section shows the literal directory/file structure of the internal memory.
Yep I still have it and it still works. I honestly dont use it nearly as much as my phone for listening to music but it still gets a few hours of use every other month or so.
Easiest/fastest is just to pop the sd card out and directly plug into a computer to copy music over. Otherwise you can connect the player with a usb cable to a computer to copy music over the the drive that pops up.
It's gotta be a limitation of the device firmware so unfortunately there's no much you can do unless if you are good at hacking the firmware and modifying it.
Occasionally but not often. Most of the time I use an android based player because it's just more convenient to update my music library over wifi or directly from a thumb drive.
Haha, video can only be watched with the wire! Radio and recording have no difference between wired and bluetooth? All the inconsistencies with the manual
So here's the thing about container video formats that manufacturers never mention: file extensions like avi or mp4 are just like containers and don't really say anything about the exact codec (h264/h265/etc) that the video uses. This means that just because a device lists mp4 or avi as supported it's entire possible for your specific file to not work if the codec is unsupported. To get around this you can often use free ipod video converters to reconvert your avi back into an avi with a generic codec that's likely to be supported. I used to have to do this all the time when I wanted to put videos on my psp, I used videora ipod video converter to reconvert the video and then it'd work.
Please remember there will be folks that are brand new to this techno stuff, like me. Your a good teacher. I got one 😊
Excellent review , needed an inexpensive mp3 player with bluetooth and this one will work 😁 for me , thanks in depth review .
This actually helped me solve a playlist problem I had. 😂 Thank you ❤👍
I have this mp3 player in blue gives me vibes of playing music on a mp3 player as a kid listening to who knows what downloaded on it
excellent review thank you!!
12:32 - that's actually a great song from the early 2000s! All Rise by Blue.
Watching this reminded me that I've got to fix littie Ruggerbear's Ipod one of these days. haha
cool mp3 player!

what is the format for the videos I cant seem to find it

i own one and i dont think it plays flacs also it might be better depending on witch i pod u have
This one is okay. Just got mine today. They sound great with the IEMs I got.
@@Prod.Ethaan it does play flac, i just played some yesterday
So can you put Mp3 files converted from a RUclips video inside?
Yep
@@sjm4306
And does this MP3 need an SD disk? Or do you just plug it into a computer and drag the files in like a flashdrive?
It has some internal menory (iirc 8gb) but you can also add a micro sd card (I tested up to 128gb but no reason it cant take bigger).
@@sjm4306
And what about the sorting? Can you create folders to split the MP3 files? And does it have Loop option?
Yes and yes

I like that MP3 player
I want to order this for my car but I'm worried the so-cal heat will damage it. Do you know if it'll be ok in a car?
Honestly, this player (and probably most others) will die after a few months if left in a hot car. Lipo batteries die real quick with high temps.
@@sjm4306 I guess id have to bring it in with me every time. Thanks.
Hey, please answer this question, How do I install an ebook onto the MP3 Player? I'm not able to download it there as all the files are LIB files
You may need to convert to mobi or epub format and copy it over to the ebook folder over usb.
@@sjm4306 Oh thank you, I just tried it rn, but the ebook folder isn't letting me put anything in it
it just shows me different .LIB files but I'm not able to add/open any of the files
u can change a setting to make all the buttens light up all the time
Yep

Hello i bought one for my university walks! but i just cant seem to be able to transfer the music because i dont know how to think you could make a tutorial?
Does it show up as a drive when you plug it into your computer with the included usb cable?
Just got one and i can't send songs via Bluetooth from my samsung phone to the mp3...won't pick the device up in the Bluetooth list
The bluetooth in this mp3 player is transmit audio only, there are several bluetooth classes.
ik this is an old video but how does the sound compare to a cell phone for instance?
That's a hard question to answer as even different phones sound very different. Generally, this sounds very decent when playing audio files with sufficient bitrates through wired iem earbuds. There are definitely much better sounding players but their prices are also much higher than this guy so it really comes down to what your specific needs are.

Click on File on the main screen to view the directory file/folder structure of the internal/sd card memory.
@@sjm4306 Thank you so much that's much better. Is that just the same as having them in the "albums" section? What's the difference?
The albums section reads the id3 tag info of each song and sorts by the album info while the file section shows the literal directory/file structure of the internal memory.
Is bluetooth connected directly to car ????
Please help! How do i turn shuffle off? It’s really annoying to not be able to listen to my songs in a standard order. Thanks!!!
While playing touch the menu button and then enter the playback mode option and make sure it's on normal.
@@sjm4306 Okay, i did touch the menu button and hit where it said shuffle but I'm still unsure as to how to switch it back.
Clicking playback mode in the menu from the now playing screen should bring up a submenu with a few choices to select shuffle, repeat, normal, etc.
do you still have it? curious if it last.

It's gotta be a limitation of the device firmware so unfortunately there's no much you can do unless if you are good at hacking the firmware and modifying it.
@sjm4306 thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I'm not good at hacking lol. Just dumb, never had a problem with other mp3 players
Yeah it's a limitation that probably doesn't have a technical reason, just whoever wrote the program arbitrarily chose 100 as the limit.
Chibi ninja music Slaps though
you don't need wifi for this right ?
Nope, this has no wifi.
