My late mother passed away some years ago, she had diabetes type two for many years and eventually affected her kidney. I was diagnosed prediabetic two years ago. Since then, I try my best to eat healthy and accompanying with walking after every meals. I do not drink nor smoke too. My blood test three weeks ago came back, I manage to lower my HbA1c level back to normal range. Dr. Chan you are right, People are not cursed even they are genetically prone to a certain illness, with lifestyle change and motivation, people can have a very good chance to remain healthy.

Happy to hear that you are doing well. Do continue to explore healthy eating habits, I always tell my patients that the goal is NOT about forcing oneself to eat healthy, but all about learning to Love Foods that will Love Us Back. Blessings, Dr Chan
