I think this game honestly has a really cool premise just terrible execution. If it was sort of like a reverse 12 Monkeys where you had to go into the future to determine the cause of the apocalypse in order to prevent it in the past, that’s a pretty great story concept

This is one of a game of all time. The fact that Brian woke up and got out to find *a* girl, which is a great feat in itself. And the fact that *-ellie-* Eva, introduced herself to him as Eve during their first interaction shows that she might probably be hiding something. Who knows? perhaps we’ll never know since this might probably be the last playthrough we’ll ever see of the infamous, The Last Hope, from charlie as far as im concerned and dont get me started on the gameplay, which is the charm and core of this entire game. The guns make you feel like you’re actually there shooting the zombies. Last but not the least, the “You Dead” upon dying really makes you feel like you’re actually there, dead.
My theory is that Eva is an imposter, portraying themselves as the daughter of the unquestionably badass main character. At some point, mr. mc will hit their head and remember a crucial fact: "My daughter doesn't have asthma", foiling the plan of the sussy baka once and for all

The thing is, I love world building and ideas for cool stories and one of the concepts was actually interesting to me. The ability to time travel, but you inhabit the body of someone in another time whom is comatose. You can tell it's AI generated because they do *nothing* with this concept and move onto zombie outbreak, when a human could create so many stories from this alone. Where do the comatose people from the future go after their body is taken over? Do they get sent to the past? Could someone theoretically live forever by hoping body to body? I imagine this technology is expensive, so who and how many people have access to this in the past compared to the future? What about boot-leg and botched jobs (as in, every technology is copied by lessers in an attempt to cash in on the popularity. This 'game' being one. What about bootleg or DIY time-travel comapnies that don't do it as safely or securely as it should/could?) Do you have to take on and continue the life of the person's body you inhabit, or can you live your own life? What if you enter the body of someone younger or older than you? (FBI stalker please, I didn't mean it like that!) There are so many interesting little stories you could write based on this concept, and all it is used for is to justify a man waking up in the future to see his now older daughter.
As you can see Charlie only has 2 games on his switch, one is a masterpiece that will be remembered for years to come and the other of course is Tears of The Kingdom

the law regarding this stuff is quite interesting because they arent technically copying the game unless they use specifc code / assets. Which they have seemed to use the assests, but the code and game is actually entirely different. They will almost definetly be sued for this, be interesting to see how that works out.

Honestly, I'm not even sure it actually is the same asset. Just strikingly similar in design, which yeah, is probably intentional, but at the same time... there's enough differences. Wow, what a masterpiece! Never have I ever seen such a beatifully written story of a soldier (Liam) meeting and fostering a girl like his own daughter (Eve). Me personally, I can't wait for the sequel, in wich I hope Liam doesn't get beaten to death.
I love that it just says "You Dead" When you die. Also, even that parts of the story that deviates from The Last of Us isn't original. They're just combining the Tomorrow War with The Last of Us. What I could get from the "story" is that it's about a soldier who's wife is pregnant when he volunteers to go through with this military program to go to the future in an effort to combat and prevent that disaster. There he unknowingly meets an older version of his daughter and now he must protect her from zombies as he gets her to safety. So first half is Tomorrow War and second half is The Last of Us. Also there's a little bit of The Walking Dead in there because he's walking up in the body of a comatose patient post zombie apocalypse.
I love the fact that most of the time eves name is misspelt to eva,and how when you die it dosent say "you died" it says "you dead" made me laugh a bit.

Tbh the premise is kinda awesome. Going into the future using the bodies of people who are unconscious, meeting up with a survivor and getting attached to them knowing your time there is limited and you have to find out what caused the outbreak. Imagine the body you've inhabited "dies" and you have to take over another one and rush back to where your partner was then explain the situation. Your partner wouldn't believe you but then you recount what happened on your journey. Probably too much effort for this studio tho.

The fact that Brian woke up and got out to find *a* girl, which is a great feat in itself. And the fact that *-ellie-* Eva, introduced herself to him as Eve during their first interaction shows that she might probably be hiding something. Who knows? perhaps we’ll never know since this might probably be the last playthrough we’ll ever see of the infamous, The Last Hope, from charlie as far as im concerned
and dont get me started on the gameplay, which is the charm and core of this entire game. The guns make you feel like you’re actually there shooting the zombies. Last but not the least, the “You Dead” upon dying really makes you feel like you’re actually there, dead.
My theory is that Eva is an imposter, portraying themselves as the daughter of the unquestionably badass main character. At some point, mr. mc will hit their head and remember a crucial fact: "My daughter doesn't have asthma", foiling the plan of the sussy baka once and for all

The thing is, I love world building and ideas for cool stories and one of the concepts was actually interesting to me. The ability to time travel, but you inhabit the body of someone in another time whom is comatose.
You can tell it's AI generated because they do *nothing* with this concept and move onto zombie outbreak, when a human could create so many stories from this alone.
Where do the comatose people from the future go after their body is taken over? Do they get sent to the past?
Could someone theoretically live forever by hoping body to body?
I imagine this technology is expensive, so who and how many people have access to this in the past compared to the future?
What about boot-leg and botched jobs (as in, every technology is copied by lessers in an attempt to cash in on the popularity. This 'game' being one. What about bootleg or DIY time-travel comapnies that don't do it as safely or securely as it should/could?)
Do you have to take on and continue the life of the person's body you inhabit, or can you live your own life?
What if you enter the body of someone younger or older than you? (FBI stalker please, I didn't mean it like that!)
There are so many interesting little stories you could write based on this concept, and all it is used for is to justify a man waking up in the future to see his now older daughter.

the law regarding this stuff is quite interesting because they arent technically copying the game unless they use specifc code / assets. Which they have seemed to use the assests, but the code and game is actually entirely different. They will almost definetly be sued for this, be interesting to see how that works out.

Honestly, I'm not even sure it actually is the same asset. Just strikingly similar in design, which yeah, is probably intentional, but at the same time... there's enough differences. I mean, I've seen more similar characters in actual AAA games.

Also, even that parts of the story that deviates from The Last of Us isn't original. They're just combining the Tomorrow War with The Last of Us. What I could get from the "story" is that it's about a soldier who's wife is pregnant when he volunteers to go through with this military program to go to the future in an effort to combat and prevent that disaster. There he unknowingly meets an older version of his daughter and now he must protect her from zombies as he gets her to safety. So first half is Tomorrow War and second half is The Last of Us. Also there's a little bit of The Walking Dead in there because he's walking up in the body of a comatose patient post zombie apocalypse.

Tbh the premise is kinda awesome. Going into the future using the bodies of people who are unconscious, meeting up with a survivor and getting attached to them knowing your time there is limited and you have to find out what caused the outbreak. Imagine the body you've inhabited "dies" and you have to take over another one and rush back to where your partner was then explain the situation. Your partner wouldn't believe you but then you recount what happened on your journey.
Probably too much effort for this studio tho.
