This is as useful as comparing a Porsche 911 to a 911 GT3.

I mean there is a huge difference between the 911 and the 911 GT3 so I am not sure what you're getting at...

Had an RBK53 setup (RBR50 with 2 satellites). Upgraded to the RBK753 (current special at Costco, you get the RBK753 at the RBK752 pricing in other stores). Reasons: I have 1Gig fiber from CenturyLink (about 940/940 in real life). To get the three pack RBK853 was almost twice the price (~500 vs ~1000). I cannot get the faster speeds even if I had gone to the RBK853, as my limit is 940Mbps up and down. If you look at the specifications, the RBK753 and RBK853 also have the same backhaul number of antennas and speed. The only primary differences were the 2x2 antennas and lower speeds (but still more than provided by ISP). I figure new 6E devices will arrive in a year and I won't feel the same sting as purchasing an RBK853 would have been while waiting.

Hello sir, so what were the speed differences between your WiFi 5 orbis and wifi 6? I currently have a 1gbps connection and have the wifi 5 orbis and we get to maybe 500mbps or so on wifi. Did wifi 6 orbis up the speed enough to make it worth it?

how do you like it? I am looking at getting the RBK753 from Costco as well. I have 1Gig up/down from Utopia Fiber and am curious how the wifi holds up.

@@nemeandragon9062 it has been working very well. Occasionally, but nowhere near as often as the older RBK52, the router needs to be restarted.

@@those1kidds sorry missed the notification so replied late. WiFi 6 devices work fantastic. My older and much greater number of AC devices did experience a boost. Seems like the signal is stronger and so about another 100Mbps or so. It’s important to remember that WiFi 5 (802.11AC) have their own limits and while the new Orbi gets them closer to those, I would not expect them to get to much more than another 100Mbps over the 500Mbps you currently get. Many devices are real life slower than what’s advertised. But I am happy with the better, if not perfect, boost.

HOLY CRAP THESE THINGS ARE AMAZING!!!!! 1200 MEGABYTES PER SECOND! That's so much faster than 1200Mb per second.... like... 8 times faster almost!

And top or off, the 5ghz band is way slower versus the very insanely fast 2.4 ghz band. So fast the backhaul is not enough.

From experience… if you want video stream, with the 4200 be mindful of compatibility… the speed is there but if you run into set up problems you will learn the pain… I returned mine after giving up on day 3 of trouble shooting …buyer beware ….net gear tech support is there for chat and seem friendly enough, but hit and miss as to whether they can fix or provide meaningful solutions… the price is off the charts and I would suggest it’s a product at Beta’ …..

If you have a gigabit subscription, the AX4200 is plenty enough, because at a 1gb plan, you would essentially get 950-980, I don't see the need to upgrade for those people.

Does anyone know If you have mesh tri-band with wireless back haul do you loose do you loose Wi-Fi 6 capability? I think the ASUS Zen does loose it, so I was wondering if that happens on other brands.

These are heading towards their 2nd year in production. At least ax6000 is..Most people still dont have wifi 6 or even decent wifi 5... So yes it might be outdated for early adopters. If wifi 6e becomes the standard that manufacturers want to produce then i can see these being discounted. Until then these are considered top of the line.
On top of all that WIFI6E clients are slim to non..
