I bought my son the i7-12700KF the week it came out and have zero regrets, absolute beast of a chip. I had to get a Z690 DDR4 board at the time as there was a couple of 16GB DDR5 sticks on the market that had no heat spreaders and cost as much as 32GB DDR4 so was a no brainer. He’s running it with a RTX 4070 at the moment and it smokes any game at 1440p. Will last him another 3 years easy I’d say then I’ll give the 12700 to his sister who’s got a Ryzen 5 5600 (Also a great chip!).
I'm researching an i7 12700k build right now. I'm going with am Arctic Cooling Liquid Freezer III 360 cooler (overkill is better here I figure, like you said) and an RTX 4070 12 gig super. The rest I'm still working on. Kind of a no frills (rgb and DDR 5 ram I'm looking at you), higher end i7 12700k build for 1440p gaming. Budget about $2.5k +/- CDN. I'm thinking about using the Asus PRIME Z690-P WIFI D4 w/ DDR4-3200, 7.1 Audio, Triple M.2, 2.5G LAN, Wi-Fi 6, BT 5.2, USB 3.2 Type-C motherboard, any thoughts on that? For power supply I'm leaning towards the Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 Snow 850W TT Premium Edition 80 PLUS, PCIe 5.0, ATX3.0 Gen5 Gold Modular Power Supply w/ 12VHPWR Connector but I'm open to suggestions. For memory I'm thinking of going with Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Dual Channel Kit (2x 16GB), Black. I'm going to get a 1 TB Samsung Pro M2 drive for my OS and a 2 TB Samsung Pro M2 drive for games, etc. My main thing about a case is need to be able to fit the 360 A/O cooler in it and it needs to have good ventilation, any suggestions? Any suggestions welcome! That was a really well done video, liked and subbed, cheers!
Budget using a 12700k… these prices are pretty reasonable if you want to build around utilizing this processor. You could build a cheaper rig with a much less powerful and less expensive processor, board, etc.
Hi I currently own a pc of below mentioned system requirements My pc configuration is as follows Intel Core i7 12th generation 12770k Motherboard is Gigabyte B760MH 16gb ddr4 memory Nvidia GeForce 6gbddr6 graphics card Will it support 8gb or more graphics card
The native frequency limit of DDR5 memory for an Intel Core i7-12700+ is up to 4800MHz. However, with overclocking, it is possible to exceed this limit.
Pulled the trigger on a well priced 12700k and starting to build around it
Dropped the hammer on a 12700k n asrock z790 lightning wifi.
I got a i7 12700kf for 230 euro
Grabbed myself 12700k for 242 EUR, waiting for cheaper GPUs, so will run on UHD770 for now lol
Got an i7 12700 kf for 176 eur on amazon lol
I built my new system around the 12700K. Price to performance is amazing. Look forward to years of service from it.

Thanks for sharing, I am sure your son will enjoy it!
Does this PC perform the better for architecture desing? Thanks for the answer

Hey I am looking to build with the same processor, did you build your already?
Looking to build an indentical PC, please provide an update ...
Will the 7900xt not bottleneck with the 12700k?
on 1440p or 2160p theres no bottleneck
some people do not understand the world BUGET .
Good point

Hi
I currently own a pc of below mentioned system requirements
My pc configuration is as follows
Intel Core i7 12th generation 12770k
Motherboard is Gigabyte B760MH
16gb ddr4 memory
Nvidia GeForce 6gbddr6 graphics card
Will it support 8gb or more graphics card
"Intel Core i7 12700K, supports DDR5 memory up to 4800MHz"
but what does that mean exactly?
The native frequency limit of DDR5 memory for an Intel Core i7-12700+ is up to 4800MHz. However, with overclocking, it is possible to exceed this limit.
If you really want to budget you can just not buy a gpu as it’s a “k” model that includes integrated graphics
